my husband works abroad, seaman for 5 years already. we've been married for 4 years na but mag-bf at gf kami for 9 yrs. i met him in college while he was taking maritime. from there, i already
set my mind that i should learn how to live with it.. na eventually we will not be together everyday not unlike most of the married couples.

mahirap na masaya kasi parang laging bago andun pa din yung kilig, hiyaan lalo na kapag bagong uwi. mahirap kapag paalis na at walang means of communication.

just to share with you, my husband is on their way to mexico right now from china. 30 days ang travel time, meaning walang signal which means NO Text, No Calls, No FB, no chat wala lahat.

Inggit ako sa mga husband at wife na magkasama everyday pero i don't think it will work for us kasi mahirap din naman kung andito lang kaming 2 nakatunganga haha!

Hindi naman nakakatulong sa mga tulad nating nsa LDR ang mga video scandal involving married/committed (man/woman) with the third party  :(

Grabe that wally scandal hanggang sa LDR Thread.he!he! pero yes, kawawa naman wife at kids nya.
Ni hindi man lang nya iniisip. Gumawa na nga ng kataksilan, may ebidensya na kita ng lahat.Kalurkey.

Going back to LDR topic, nung young pa ang parents ko, LDR din sila kasi marine engineer yung father
ko for a shipping company, worldwide yung travel ni father ko. Hindi pa uso ang cellphones.
Kaya slow mail lang communication. Dumadaan ang months bago sila makapag communicate.
Actually, napakaliit na nga ng mundo ngayon compared before. Almost 8 years din na ganun sila
before bumababa ang father  ko para magbusiness. In fairness, nakasurvive sila at never
sila nag-away sa babae.

I really feel sorry for the wife and the kids.

By the way, I will meet my hubby at the airport on Sunday (very early morning). Kahit meet and greet lang okay na rin at least maibibigay ko yong gusto nyang pasalubong. Wish ko lang late yong sundo nila.

IMHO to be able to survive an LDR relationship you really have to LOVE and TRUST each other so much.  Kapag wala ang isang ingredient na yan, mahirap talaga.  I do struggle everyday about the trust, lalo na sa mga balita about cheating, tapos may mga kakilala ka pa na manggagatong...

Block ko lang all the negative thoughts and pray everyday na kayanin namin yung ganitong set up.  I don't want to worry on things I don't have control over baka malosyang lang ako sa kakaisip at kakagawa ng mga scenario na ikatatakot ko.

In all relationships, communication is the key.  Maswerte na nga ang mga LDR couples dahil ngayon they can get in touch with their love ones in real time with the technology at hand.  Eh dati, you have to make voice tapes and write letters by hand sa yellow pad paper hahahaha.

Mahirap ang long distance relationship but if both parties are invested in the relationship, if both parties are willing to work for it, then the relationship will flourish.  If not, then the relationship will flounder.  Pero sana, kahit man lang every once in a while, both can physically see each other and rekindle the passion in person and hindi yung puro virtual na lang :D
