First Time Moms, What are your Fears?

I'm a first time mom and I'm five weeks pregnant. I know that I don't have to dwell on the negative side of things but I have fears that I would like to share to all of you.

1. miscarriage
2. painful labor
3. birth defects

What are yours?

^same as yours. ngayon nakapanganak nako, takot ako sa :

SIDS
malagyan ng milk yung lungs or magka ear infection dahil sa maling pag inom ng milk
may makitang mali sa result ng newborn screening

etc etc..

i think bilang mommy, hindi matatapos yung pag aalala natin sa babies natin. ang mas mabuti ata gawin- PRAY!

I used to fear death, yung mamatay sa panganganak.
Natakot din ako sa sister ko when she gave birth noon. Normal naman.
Pero siguro she had a hard labor. Mastakot ako me mangyari sa kanya kesa sa pamangkin ko.
Altho worried din ako kasi she tried to abort it e, she stopped kasi it was so painful daw
So far normal naman first born screening. he's now 6 yrs old by Sept, pero ADHD yata e, kulit.

Also, yung bad stories about anesthesia before surgery, I'm not sure if applicable for pregnancy.

For the child naman, my fear talaga is not being able to raise the child well, mejo long term.
I just don't want my child to grow up a bad person hurting others nor be a victim of a cruel world.

I fear pregnant women who are so thin/slim/malnourished, kasi nakakatakot, I feel both the life of mother and child are in danger. Yung other niece ko kasi, ganun mom nya, binilhan ko nga ng vitamins e. Tapos pinanganak pa raw yun sa house lang, ewan ko ba, nagtipid kasi sila. Buti lang nothing bad happened. She's also 6 yrs old now by May, so far, akala nila anak ko kc kamukha ko, saka matalino.

Also, my youngest brother while in the womb, nag poop na sya, buti wala complications din.

I also have an aunt and uncle born by my 2 grandmothers (sisters sila) when they were already in their 40's. Sila yung bunso (3rd & 4th child) Parang menopausal baby na. My Aunt is 30-ish na rin a few years older than me lang, then my uncle is 45+ na.

Fear ko rin yung baka may mangyari kay baby pag tagtag kami sa byahe. Nakaka paranoid.

when i first learned that i was pregnant (im now at 38 weeks), aside from what you listed, my other fears are:
-stillborn baby
-severely premature baby
-physical, psychological, and cognitive defects after birth

what i learned as my pregnancy progresses is that these fears are normal. i think all pregnant women have them. what's important is to take one day at a time and always pray that everything will turn out well. syempre you also follow your doctor's advice which includes what to eat and what not to eat, kung ano yung dapat iwasan and so on. while pregnant, it's essential that you take very good care of yourself. and sabi mo nga sis immy, don't dwell on the negative things. dapat good vibes lagi. i wish you a healthy and safe pregnancy.

When I was pregnant - of course my fears were
-miscarriage/stillborn
-deformity or any abnormality
-difficult labor / CS
-death during labor - I seriously though I might have an aneurysm while pushing. I even told my husband if it came to a point during labor where the doctor would ask him who to save, to save the baby and not me.

After I had my baby
-SIDS
-pneumonia or any other kind of infection/disease
-abusive yaya

My baby is now 10 months old and the fears continue - what if she hurts herself walking, what if she gets some disease, what if she can't talk or has a developmental delay.

It is natural as a parent to worry and there's no problem with that. Read up, be prepared, be cautious. But don't be so paranoid to a point that you will no longer enjoy your baby. They are only young once and it is true that babies grow up so fast. Enjoy every single moment you have with them

Let's all pray mga sis to have a healthy and safe delivery. It's part of our pregnancy, having fears. But lets face it with positive thinking...

Natakot talaga ko sa mga inputs sana di mangyari sa mga magiging anak natin. I'm 11 months pregnant.

tama si sis m_lim  hindi mawawala ang mga worries, fears at kung ano-ano pang panga-ngamba naten para sa mga babies naten, ang pinaka mabisa at makakatulong saten eh ang mag pray kay GOD at think positive

I agree with sis m_lim and sis sugs, di lang sa 1st babies natin ang fears.  Sa lahat ng magiging anak natin.  Like ako, 3rd pregnancy ko na, ang dami ko pa ding fears especially me history ako ng MC, tapos taas pa sugar ko, kaya nakakastress.  Prayers lang talaga at yun nga positive thinking dapat.

i had my flare of rheumatoid arthritis. got confined for 3 days. im afraid although my doctors assured me everything would be fine. still, with all the pain meds and the depo medrol injections. i hope me and my bean get through this.

Pagaling ka sis Yang..

Ako din everyday paranoid mode. Sumakit lang ulo ko feeling ko baka may undiagnosed disease ako. Fear ko din yung birth defects, kaya atat nako magpa CAS ultrasound. Kung pwede lang mag pa check din ng amniocentesis, kaso di ito easy procedure.
Fear ko din baka maubusan ako ng dugo sa CS operation, masalinan tapos me aids pala yung nag donate ewww...nakakatakot talaga.

Am afraid of the labor pains baka di ko kayanin ang hina pa naman ng tolerance ko sa pain 

Pero mas takot ako na i - CS

And of course worried lagi about baby's health kaya since day 1 nung naconfirm kong pregnant ako i never stopped praying extra hard.  si Lord na bahala plus lahat ng pag iingat

before i gave birth last sunday ang mga kinatatakutan ko ay:
labor pains-- baka sa sobrang sakit eh i lose myself at magngangangawa akong mukhang engot na OA
C-S (na nangyari din naman dahil emergency c-section ako) and it's side effect
stillborn or abnormal or sakitin na baby (I dunno why when everytime we go to the doctor lagi naman akong nirereassure na ok naman si baby)


after i had my son, ang mga kinatatakutan ko naman:
-suffocation ng baby dahil sa hindi pag burp
-SIDS
-lagnat
-not producing enough breastmilk to feed him
-bilirubin level

akala ko noon, once ipanganak ko na si baby eh mababawasan na ang pagkaparanoid ko. mas malala pala kapag nasa tabi mo na siya. nung first night namin sa bahay, hindi ako makatulog. maski gising o tulog si baby kasi every hiccups, every breath, every pag-galaw, lagi akong nag-aalala kung bawat kilos nya ba eh normal for a newborn baby. dahil kapag hindi, ready akong itakbo sya sa hospital!

Ako pinagbubuntis ko palang c baby super daming fear na naranasan ko, I had mitral valve replacement kasi,..may bakal ako sa heart hehe

Nung nalaman ni Cardio na preggy ako medyo hindi siya natuwa, sabi nya magastos, high risk for both me and my baby..but with lakas ng loob tinuloy ko parin..he recommend me sa OB nya
OB said na w/my present situation the meds na tinitake ko can affect my baby.. my baby can have 10%chance of congenital anomaly.

Pero with strong faith with God kinaya naming magasawa,..financially, emotionally and physically nasurvive namin. Dahil high risk talaga niligate na ako 

Ang greatest fear ko nalang is mawala ang pinakamamahal naming unica hija  mababaliw yata ako pag nangyari yun

Hay... nakaka-praning talaga! lalo na pag may nababasa ako regarding the experiences of others.
I'm even thinking of buying a doppler to at least lessen my worries 
But you sisses are right, just pray and trust God, and try not to worry too much

5w 5d cant see the baby pa sa U/s. Im scared but im positive makikita ko na siya next week. :-(

i'm on my 26th week na and i fear:
-miscarriage
-still birth
-premature rupture of membranes
-birth defect(been through congenital scan and no anomalies noted naman daw)

Eto weird na fear ko. Kakanood ko lang ng tiktik the aswang chronicles, natatakot ako na baka pag uwi ko sa pinas sundan ako ng tiktik hahaha! Kaya pagtawanan na nila/nyo ako, pero magsasabit ako ng bawang sa windows ng room ko (corner pa naman) tsaka hahawak ako ng bouquet ng bawang kapag matutulog. Hahaha! Laughtrip ba.
