^^ i love haigh's chocolates. Super cute pa mga tin can designs nila. I usually buy sa adelaide. Kasi dun yung orig store.

Anyway, about sa outfit sa victoria, i would suggest layering. Kasi nga 4 seasons in a day. Madami nakabubble jackets during winter. Last week of winter nako nakapunta before, i just wore thick leggings, layered clothes and thick coat. Thermal underwear helps pag lamigin. Bring scarves, mittens and earmuffs, you can always put it sa bag pag medyo nainitan ka. Hehe.

Yung colleague ko, pinatikim ako ng koko black na chocolate from Oz, masarap sya. Sabi nya mahal din daw yun dyan sa Oz kaya isang piraso lang kinuha ko. hehe

Ang yummiest na chocs and sweets na natikman ko sa Oz nun eh yung from Beechworth: http://www.beechworthsweetco.com.au/

Kaya lang medyo malayo sya from Melbourne. Pero sarap ng honeycomb nila! Sulit at di mahal (compared to Haigh's and Koko Black).

Actually sa Melbourne city center madaming mga specialty chocolate shops ---lakad lakad ka lang Spencer, Collins, basta sa city center, madami dun.

Don't forget to eat borek at the Queen Vic Market! Best breakfast ever for me! I think I had borek for breakfast for four days. Mura pati.

Also bratswurst :-) Puro pagkain haha!

Yung sa Haigh's, masarap naman ang chocs nila kaso mahal. Ang gusto ko talaga sa kanila yung packaging hehe!
Yung Cadbury, Pods etc, madami sa dutyfree (after Immigration) so okay na na di ka maghoard nun at makakabigat lang sa bagahe, since madami naman sa airport hehe!
I remember natyempuhan ko pa ang sale ng Valrhona chocs nun sa Melbourne airport kaya win!

Ako naguwi nun ng bacon, cheese, ham at wine. Masarap kasi at thick yung bacon nila eh, yung ham naman at cheeses mura lang compared sa Pinas. Enjoy Shopping!
Minsan may special deals sila sa Target Mall (Melbourne, Collins ata yung street, basta hilera nun). Cheap din mga clothes sa Valley Girl :-)

Hi mga sis, mga magkano po ba ang one way ticket to Melbourne? Me and the husband is planning to go there on Feb 2014 and naisip kong murang way is via Cebu Pacific (going to KL) and KL to Melbourne via Air Asia. Any airlines na cheaper?

From SG Roundtrip to Sydney is at S$655 lang. But i'm taking qantas. Sometimes, they have S$755 for RT SG <-> SYD / MEL

Minsan ang PAL mura din~ Lalo pag offpeak, like now since winter ngayon dun. My ticket in 2011 was 800 USD, PAL yun, to Melbourne.

Just got back from SYD and MEL. The day after I arrived, i immediately checkout how to migrate there as foreign worker. he he he. I really liked the work-life-balance that they have. At 6pm, feeling ko around 9pm na. Kaya the time when I was there tulog na ata ako ng 9pm or naglalabasa hostel. I never went out at night simply because its too cold and the dim lit places won't register that good on my camera. Sa sobrang ginaw, i'd rather go online or pack and wash my laundry for the next day adventure. I really really enjoyed my AU vacation even if I'm all alone. I get to go to places na walang antayan and best of all sydney and melbourne is the perfect place to get lost, lakad lang ng lakad kahit sang eskinita without any fear of being mugged.

I'm not much of a blogger so I'll just help out nalang when somebody asks around regarding touring SYD or MEL.

Hi Tootsie31, san ka sa Sydney? I don't know of a good salon who does rebonding, however I know a good salon who does magic straight - I'm sure it's similar and even natural looking. It is in Chatswood and the salon is called Fiore. Korean salon to, I always go to Korean/Asian salon as they know Asian hair better. If you are after waxing, I'm sure almost all salon offer the type of service.

^Sis, kagagaling ko lang ng Sydney and Melbourne nitong aug lang. I was there 3 days in SYD and another 3 days in MEL doing solo travel. Safe naman sa AU. I never had any fear kahit na naglalakad ako sa gabi at walang tao. So baka di mo naman kelangan ng pepper spray kahit solo travel ka lang. Safe naman ang place for solo woman traveler.

no need for pepper spray. if you're in Sydney and will just plan to stay in the city or suburbs near the city, wag lang sa may far west, it's completely safe.
i used to jog at 2am in the city and it's completely safe.
