My Turning 2 y/o Son Refuses to drink Milk

Hi Mommies,

any one here had same experience like mine. Ayaw na mag drink ng milk ng son ko. He used to drink Nido JR. tapos pinalitan namin ng Promil Kid ayaw pa din..pinalitan namin ng Bonna Kid ayaw pa din..Ngayon bumili ako ng Lactum choco..sana magustuhan..sabi ng pedia nag Milk taste fatigue daw baby ko. nag prescribed sya ng Ferlin syrup.. Within 1 month dapat mag gain weight sya. kundi mag papa xray sya to  check if may PC sya. kasi 10.5k lang sya..ilang araw lang sya di nakapag milk bumaba na agad timbang nya..

Ganyan din panganay ko sis, nung mag tigil siyang dumede sa bottle, ni ayaw ng uminom ng milk sa baso, so ang ending, hindi na siya nag milk kahit kelan, kaya yung vitamins niya may calcium.

Hindi ko siya pinilit, yun ang choice niya, I respected it.

Now, she's 7 years old, naku siya na ang namili, gusto daw niya yung Bear Brand choco, ayun nakaka 3 baso a day.

So talagang phase lang, at least ngayon, siya nag decide na gusto niya ng milk

Nakaka worry lang kasi. Pero malakas naman sya magsolid. Kaka try lang namin ng lactum choco nagustuhan naman nya.

There are other sources of calcium naman like cheese, yogurt, or like sis snowball vitamins na may calcium. sis snowball - anong name nun vitamins? parang gusto ko nyan.

Ganyan din son ko dati, umayaw mag milk. Binilhan ko ng strawberry milk yung naka box, marigold brand or cowhead, ayun na gustuhan... hanggang nag sawa. Now balik nido sya. Basta try different flavors of milk, may magugustuhan din sya. Wag mo lang pilitin.

Meron calcium vitamins na gummy, Gummyvites, yun ang pinapa take ko sa mga anak ko. Gusto nila kasi parang candy lang.

^sis anong brand ng youghart? pwede ba yung nestle fruit selection youghart or yung plain lang dapat?

^kung alin yung magugustuhan ng kid mo. mine he doesn't like nestle yogurt. i bought the ice cream yogurt and dutchmill na strawberry. the plain one you can mix with smoothies. smoothies naman minsan i mix in yung laman ng malunggay capsule.

My son is 3 years old and 5 months and he also refuses to drink milk. Pahirapan talaga kami magpainom sa kanya. Since he stopped drinking milk from a bottle, ayaw na niya. Ang tagal tuloy maubos ng milk niya. I told his yaya na 1 cup in the morning and 1 cup nalang sa gabi. Pero nasusuka daw sa gabi so sabi ko sa morning nalang. Madami naman siya kumain kaso simula nung nag lessen yung milk intake niya e hindi na siya bumigat. =( So, normal lang pala to?

well, at that age naman toddlers doesn't really need to drink formula milk. their nutrition should mostly be coming from solids and milk is just a source of calcium which she can get elsewhere, like cheese, yoghurt, veggies, etc.

if you really want him to drink milk, why not try fresh milk? in other countries, they start giving fresh milk to children aged 1 year old. dito lang naman kasi sa atin super marketed ang formula milks kaya napaka-dependent natin dito.

^ Thanks sis. We tried giving him fresh milk pero ayaw din. =) Pero malakas naman siya kumain and were giving him chocolait or moo every other day para mas madami siya naiinom na calcium. And mahilig din naman siya sa cheese. =)

when my daughter is nearly 1, we tried to give her Nido pero hindi niya ni-take, as in ayaw. i don't know if it's the taste, sweetness or what so we stayed with progress gold / promil kid. at one point, we were instructed to give her pediasure. nung una, ayaw talaga niya but pinilit talaga namin because we bought the biggest can and talagang kelangan. she just turned 2 and currently on lactum 1-3.
