What brand that has BHA can you recommend? As i age, mas nagiging visible ang pores ko lalo na kapag summer pansin ko tuloy every year lumalala. :(

Hi sissies!

i've been been a follower of this thread from 1 - 2. tas i collected info from our other sissies regarding tips onhow to lessen the appearance of pores.

before kasi i concentrated on supplements and the regular diamond peeling to minimize my pores tas i nalaman ko na hindi lang pala dapat dun, kundi pati mga topical anik anik isasama sa regimen

so eto yung mga ginagamit ko before:

nivea white facial wash pore minimizer - (the one that says on the label na it removes impurities and such) been a fan of nivea for years! di ako nagbreak out dito at di rin naman nabawasan oiliness ko... narealize ko din na i still get blackheads and so hindi sya ganun ka-effective sa total deep clean...

nivea sun facial sunblock with collagen 50spf (blue package) - i cant go out kapag walang sunblock so i use this. effective sya kasi i dont have any dark spots compared sa iba at my age. but then, dami nagsasabi na super oily ako... kahit sa pictures sobrang kintab ko.  ;D ;D ;D

for moisturizer, i switch brands kasi from myra eh to vitamin c ng gnc to st. yves collagen

here are the things that i did:

i had 4 sessions of laser resurfacing. 1 at sixf aesthetics then 3 from powerpeel.
i would so much recommend the procedure... then i changed the products that i use.

facial wash: neutrogena deep clean facial cleanser - as per sales lady eto daw yung may salicylic acid.

scrub: st. yves apricot scrub. ill switch to st. yves green tea variant pag naubos yung small bottle ko ng apricot.

moisturizer: will continue with  st. yves collagen.

sunscreen: inuubos ko lang yung nivea sun facial sunblock with collagen and nichido foundation with sunscreen, di ko pa lam kung ano ipapalit ko. on the hunt pa lang.

I just started using Retin A although nakatry nako other forms of Vitamin A topical ointment before pero Retin A daw is the most potent form. Using it twice a week and itutuloy ko to for 3 to 4 weeks siguro. Goal ko is every other night.

You think I still need to get glycolic peels from dermas like once a week or once every 2 weeks?

My skin is prone to congestion din. Kumbaga no matter what I used before a week later, clogged pores starting to make an appearance. But lately its been less clogged na. I just keep my routine simple and make sure to moisturize properly. I also learned to read and analyze ingredients. Cosdna is very helpful, just enter product name and search. Then it will show ingredients if it has potential irritants or may cause acne and its safety level.
In my case, I avoid products with Fatty alcohols (cetyl alcohol, cetearyl alcohol) Ester (ingredients that ends with -ATE) and Polysorbates.

Here's my simple routine: (trial and error din before I found what works best for my skin)
AM:
Splash with water
Hada labo hyaluronic acid lotion
Clindamycin cream (spot treatment)
Hada labo skin plumping gel cream
Biore UV perfect bright milk
Makeup

PM:
Splash with water (not wearing makeup or sunblock) or Himalayas purifying neem face wash
Clindamycin solution
Hada labo hyaluronic acid lotion
Clindamycin cream (MWFS)
Tretinoin 0.025% cream ( TTHSAT)
Hada labo skin plumping gel cream

(Clindamycin cream and tret were prescribed by derma.)

Once a month I visit my derma for a facial and chemical peel.
My skin isn't super clear nor that super smooth where no bumps could be felt but somehow it's slowly improving. Sabi nga derma ko, hindi natin mamagic na within a month makinis ka na. It takes time, effort and money.
And be consistent with your routine, find what products works for you and stick to it.
