just finished watching it and i love it!! mapapatulo na lang yung luha mo while they are singing. the boy who played Gavroche is adorable. Eddie Redmayne and Samantha Banks were very good. Anne Hathaway's rendition of i dreamed a dream was full of emotions sa kanya unang tumulo luha ko and also her scene when she was hallucinating seeing cosette  

weakest link is Russell Crowe nakulangan ako sa boses nya kaya parang kinapos din sa emotions. yung ending nagpipigil na lang kami nung mga kasama ko na wag humagulgol pero natatawa na yung katabi namin kasi singhot na ng singhot yung isang kasama namin

I can't wait to watch it on the 16! reminds me of my good old HS days wherein we would do this on a play, particularly Eponine's scene ON MY OWN

Saw it last Wednesday and I loved it! My Husband also enjoyed the movie except all the singing... men! Favorite ko sa cast si Sascha Baron Cohen saka si Helena Bonham Carter but overall the whole cast did well. Saka ang ganda ganda ganda ni Amanda sa movie, sa kanya ako maglilihi pag nagka baby girl ako. Lol!

Also, is it just me or talagang malaki ang mukha ni Eponine compared to her super tiny waist!

Loved your comment Sis.  We share the same sentiment.  Naiyak din ako nung hallucination ni fantine (Anne) kay cosette.  Naaliw naman ako sa Master of the house by the Thenadiers.  Natawa lahat ng mga singaporeans nung di maalala ni Sacha baron cohen ang name ni cosette. 

Heartwarming ang Empty chairs, empty tables ni Marius.  Dama mo yung pain nya. 

They also sang live during the shooting.  Hindi pre recorded yung boses nila so they were doing the singing and acting at the same time.  Walang lip sync.  I didn't know maganda pala boses ni Hugh jackman although galing sya ng theatre sa AU.

^ang hilarious ng Thenardiers.. i've always loved Helena Bonham Carter ang kulet lang ng scenes nila.. may mga times na natawa ang audience kay Hugh Jackman kahit serious yung scene    wait san ka nanuod sis?buti nahabol namin yung showing sa causeway point to think na pang-3rd week na ata.. madami pa din nanuod when we watched last Friday tapos Saturday wala ng screening.


Empty Tables by Marius was very heartfelt ang galing ni Eddie Redmayne sa scene na yun

Ilang beses din ako naiyak sa movie-musical na to.

1. Fantine sang I Dreamed a Dream
2. Fantine was dying
3. Eponine died
4. Gavroche died
5. Everyone started dying and si Marius na lang natira and dun sa chairs and tables scene
6. Valjean left Cosette and Marius
7. Valjean's dying scene with Fantine then with Cosette
8. The rebels and everyone was singing

it's amazing, they really deserve the awards but I agree na si Russell Crowe ang weakest link..

will surely watch this again on the big screen pag magaling na ko, nakakahiya manood tapos ubo ko ng ubo baka mabato pa ko.. LOL

Watched this last night ang ganda!

I agree si Russell Crowe nga ang weakest, I feel like they should've picked someone else kasi very powerful yung boses ng co-stars niya and it's Les Miserables of course mataas expectations natin. Gustong gusto ko yung voice ni little Cosette, crystal clear, very innocent.

I told myself sa I Dreamed a Dream lang ako iiyak but di nasunod LOL. Hinayaan ko nalang tumulo luha ko and manginig yung lips ko. I have to say I'm not a big Anne Hathaway fan but after watching the movie I love her na.

Pinaka emotional ako nung mamamatay na si Jean Valjean and Fantine was singing na beside him di ko nacontrol tuloy tuloy na iyak ko T_T

I love the movie so much!  Magaling silang lahat although meron at meron talagang mga boses na pumailanglang kesa sa iba.  Weakest link nga si Russell Crowe pero carry lang.  Sa musical kasi powerful ang voice ni Javert lalo na noong kinanta niya yung Stars.  Kay Crowe kasi, nabitin ako at nakulangan.  Mas nagustuhan ko din boses ni Enjorlras at ng ibang revolutionaries kesa kay Marius.

Ang galing ng casting sa role ni Cossette -- the voice, the face of young Cossette -- hindi nagbago ang mukha pati yung timbre ng boses.

I love the role of Sacha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter as the Thenardiers.  Maganda din ang voice ni Eponine.  Panalo si Anne Hathaway as Fantine and Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean.  Damang-dama yung paghihirap ng loob nila and how tortured their souls were when they sang and acted.

Kahit more than two hours ito, hindi ko namalayan.  Everybody played their role to the T!  Ang galing!  Kahit ulit-ulitin ko ito, hindi ko ito pagsasawaan.  I've cried buckets on this -- when I read the book, when I saw the musical, and when I watched the movie!
