Mr. Shin/Beauty Brick Salon - Thread 3

finally, i had the courage to have digiperm na!

nagpunta ako kahapon sa Beauty Brick, mga 10:15 am nagstart yung process. natapos ako 1pm. may mga nakasabay din ako dun, pero in fairness, tuloy2 naman yung mga nag asikaso sa hair ko. yung mga asst ni mr shin,parang assembly line s factory, napaka systematic nila. lol

anyhow, medium curls yung ginawa sa hair ko. ok naman siya, ganda ng curls sa harap kaso now, yung hair sa likod ko, medyo straight na...hindi na defined yung curls pero hindi naman super straight. normal lang ba yung ganun???

Ganyan din yung sa akin sis nung hindi ko pa naliliguan... pero after ko maliguan ok na yung curls ko... until now ok pa din sila it's been almost 10 months na and curly pa din pero dulong-dulo na ng hair ko... Due for retouch

^^Ang hirap kasi mag-ayos, lalo bago pumasok! haha! Galit na galit bf ko, 2hrs ako nagprepare kanina (hindi rin naman maayos kinalabasan), tapos ang dami kong nalimutang dalin

ah talaga sis? yung sa akin naman di ko na twist, scrunch lang then curly na sya buong araw. Until now curly pa din almost 10 months na sya... I am using bed head foxy curl na spray... for me, wash and wear lang yung curls ko... konting scrunch after maligo... usually 5 mins oks na sya... nilalagay ko yung spray while wet pa hair ko...

^lucky you! my wrists are sore from twisting and scrunching! hahaha! nakakatawa kanina on our way to the office, nakatwist kasi siya ng buo pa (hindi ko pa hinihiwalay hiwalay), sabi niya ano ba yan ipakita mo naman sakin ng maayos!
mula sa bahay kasi hanggang makarating ako sa office tinitwist scrunch ko.

siguro sis dahil nagparebond ako before? kaya hirap kumapit ng curls!

matigas ba yung hair spray? natitigasan kasi ako sa gatsby wax, yun ang pinabili nila sa akin e. feeling ko may sword ako sa ulo kapag gumagalaw galaw [textspeak!] ulo ko hahaha!

^ hahaha natawa naman ako sis... rebonded din hair ko pero one year na nakalipas bago ako ngpa perm. alam ko meron din sina mr shin ng star curl ba un na they rebond your hair first bago curl. Hindi lang ako msyado sure.

Yung bed head sis hindi matigas. parang natural lang. Hindi nkpagtray ng wax.

it's been a week since nagpa digi perm ako,so far hindi pa naman ako nahihirapan sa pag mmaintain. for my 1st week, ang routine ko lang, after shower, more twist lang s curls. pag medyo natutuyo na yung pinakamataas n curl (sa jawline), naglalagay na ako ng vitress (cuticle coat)... after 10-15 min, lalagyan ko na yung lower part ng vitress. nakaspread yung oil sa palm ko then press2 lang sa hair. next week try ko naman yung moneo curl lotion 

nakakatuwa,kasi puro nice feedback sa hair ang nakukuha ko sa mga kakilala/officemates

Mga sis baka may interested sa bedhead foxy curls contour cream. My hair is straight and short kaya matagal na di makakapagdigiperm. Pm me if interested

Anyone here knows Mr Shin's rate for volume rebond? My hair's up to the shoulder lang

^ I had my volume rebond done today, cost 5,500. My hair is til bra length. There was another girl who also had volume rebond and her hair was a little past her shoulders and it also cost her 5,500.

All in all, it was a pleasant experience for me. I arrived around 11:30 and finished a little past 4 in the afternoon. I was a little worried that the people who were working on me kept changing every few minutes. I thought someone would forget me but that didn't happen. Mr. Shin runs a well oiled machine. His people are always moving. None of them really took a break the entire time I was there.

There was probably about 15 people who had their hair done during the time I was there. Majority were there for perms, I think only 3-4 of us were there for rebond. I was so inggit of the ladies who walked out with their perms. I was listening to Mr. Shin give his instructions on care and it's so high maintenance pala! Good thing I didn't decide to get a perm, but I did look on fondly to the girls who had it done.

For some reason from this thread, I thought Mr. Shin was Korean, he's Japanese pala!

sa mga nagpunta na dito who had their hair permed and color the same day, ano unang ginagawa ni mr.shin? color--cut--perm? or cut--perm--color?

^Hindi gawa si Mr shin ng color and perm the same day... You need 2 weeks interval. Kahit alin mauna. HTH

I had my digiperm last Saturday. Pumunta ako before 8am and grabe, hindi ako yung 1st customer

Anyway, Mr. Shin's changing the name of the salon to Blue Af, pero same staff parin daw.

^ They're open at 8am on Saturdays. After shampoo, pinuntahan nako agad ni Mr. Shin to check the condition of my hair and to ask what kind of curls I want. Ganun naman ata for all.  I finished at around 11am

Super happy with my hair c/o Beauty brick. Bad trip lang kasi nagbubuh buhol siya pag di ko sinuklay talaga ;(((
