Pag naiinggit ako, instead of me using that negative feeling I tried to use it in a positive way. Dati naiinggit ako sa mga kakilala kong may kaya kasi they have things I really really like na wala ako. My parents could not provide me those---ang ginawa ko: i worked hard to have money na more than enough sa pangangailangan ko.

You know what's ironic, yung mga taong kinaiinggitan ko noon, sila naman ang naiinggit ngayon sa akin. And they are very vocal about it. Back then, mga parents nila nagbibigay o bumibili ng mga bagay na kinaiinggitan ko sa kanila. Ako, I can very much afford it now and they don't.

May nabasa akong quote dati, something like huwag mong ikumpara yung down moment mo to others achievements. Iba yung pinagdaanan nila, iba yung sa iyo. Or baka may ginawa sila na hindi mo pa nagagawa. Things will not be served in a silver platter. You will not get things by simply scratching--kailangan mong kumayod ng todo.

I was once asked by a colleague about me being, 'effortless' din. I think she was asking that in the same way you are wondering about why. I told her it's because I love my job that even if I worked 24/7, it doesn't show I am too stressed--I am having fun too. I do things beyond my boss's expectation and so achievements is beyond their expectation too.

I admit, it took me years to master 'being positive.' I am not always positive though. madali akong mairita, madali akong magalit pero madali din kasi akong makalimot.

Also, instead of you wasting your time noticing their achievements or kung anuman ang kinaiinggitan mo sa iba, work on your own. Improve yourself. Get busy.

Same here... when I was a student, ako rin yun least fortunate one.

I did work hard for what I have now. Yun din kasi turo ng mom ko

I couldn't say naman na nakakaangat na ko sa iba, I am just happy for what I have...

If we focused on the things we have, and how to improve it, saka tayo mas magiging happy and productive with our life.  I know its hard, but it gets easier once palagi mo nang ginagawa ito. And if mainggit ka man, try to have that as a inspiration to strive and work more.

I might not have all the things that I want...but I can say I have all the things that I need and even more. :) Stay positive Sis!

Never compare yourself with others. Try to be positive sis. I know mahirap pero baby steps and makakaya mo din yan.

I always try to be pretty and sometimes I feel na kulang pa rin so what I do? edi try lang! Nage-enjoy naman ako and at the same time napa-pamper ko sarili ko to the max. Be happy.

oo nga sis, yung ang pinagmumulan ng lahat ng inggit yung pag compare ng sarili sa iba. sabi nga nila you will never be contended of what you have if you keep on comparing yours to theirs.

thanks. i will just make myself pretty and accept all the things that i have.

as advised by sis aquacharly, i read the poem and wanted to post it here. inspiring nga siya;

desiderata - by max ehrmann

Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.

As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant, they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.

If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love, for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is perennial as the grass.

Take kindly to the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.

Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Max Ehrmann c.1920

Ako I decided to remove from my life pero I'm not burning bridges. There's always someone better. Pero you are you. Just be proud of yourself and give your best shot all the time.

How do you handle it? or how do you get over them..
count your blessings sis... may mga bagay na meron ka na wala sila. always remember hinde lahat makukuha mo. be thankful sa kung ano binigay ng Diyos sayo. and stop comparing yourslef to ither people.

Agree with the other sisses here, don't compare yourself, and learn to appreciate what you have. Instead, kung ano man yung nakikita mo na meron sila, gawin mo as an inspiration to strive harder; But not to the point na you're changing yourself completely ha. Then I came to a point na if I really want something, better na lang na pag-ipunan ko.

Practice din na imbis na maiingit ka because a girl is prettier than you, appreciate their beauty instead. This is one thing that I learned in the industry that I am working in. Puro magaganda, artistahin looks. They're not doing anything bad naman to me so hindi ako nahirapan to appreciate their beauty LOL. Believe me, ang sarap sa pakiramdam when you appreciate a girl's beauty ng walang halong inggit. Aside from this, I focused on myself din. Prettifying myself. Then slowly, people started noticing me na din, na sila pa itong naiingit.

Just remember that even though you think that they all have everything in the world, just think na may mga pinagdadaanan din yan like their own insecurities. I believe lahat naman ng tao meron nyan, pero nasa tao din yun how she will handle it.

This happened to me too with one of my female friends and the interesting part is malayo siya sa dapat maging insecure. She is always considered as the prettiest or hottest girl in the group and she always tells us how she is so happy with her life. She also carries herself really well na hindi mo maiisipan na insecure siya and ano ba ang dapat niya ika-insecure kung she keeps telling us she is happy and content with her face and life? But then I started to notice rin na she doesn't like other people getting her spotlight. She also doesn't compliment other girls. Then it came to the point na narirnig ko ako na ang pinapintasan niya sa iba kong friend which I was totally surprised. Bakit?" Pero don't get me wrong girls, I love myself and I think I'm pretty on my own way just like I think everyone is pretty on her own way. I just don't like the thought of nangiinggitan kayo mag kakaibgan kasi dun nag sisismula lahat ng girl fights and drama.

She also did double eye lid surgey and few botox which she doesn't admit it only to me. Another weird thing about her to me. I think she is unconsciously competing with me in which ayaw ko nalang patulan. I already kept my distance on her kasi pati relationship ko with other people naapektuhan na.

The lesson here is that most of insecure people don't realize they are insecure, opposite pa nga eh. They think they have a lot of confidence pero sila rin yung super conscious sa sarili nila. The scary thing is that they are very manipulative also. They know exactly what they don't like about themselves so they also know how to hide that. Mahirap rin iparealize sa kanila na insecure sila so I think the best way to handle this kind of people is to just keep a distance.

i admit i'm prone to being envious. usually kasalanan ng FB. hehe. what i do is to just hide the person. i don't hide everyone na kinaiinggitan ko. i just hide yung mga vocal about their achievements and what-not. hindi ako naiinggit sa physical appearance or sa material things. mas naiinggit ako sa mga personal/career achievements tsaka sa mga nagpapakasal na and those having babies na.

there's this one high school classmate na she's doing well with her career kasi she had a cool educational grant in hawaii. she posts in fb everything she does there. i hid her na lang para di ko na lang sya kainggitan. and i always remove in fb yung notifications that someone yet again got married hahaha!

i think it's ok to have  a little bit of inggit, to drive you to strive harder,, or maybe to keep your feet on the ground. Pero not to the point na umiikot mundo mo sa insecurities at pakikipag compete sa iba.
