Just finished watching Tad the Lost Explorer   - Ok lang siya, toned down, cartoon version of Indiana Jones.

Chinese Zodiac -- 7/10 -- may corny parts, but overall a funny, entertaining family action movie. i observed that kids around us weren't fussing at all throughout the film, engrossed din sila.

Sana the rumors aren't true that this is Jackie Chan's last action film. Kahit matanda na siya he really is a charming fellow with a huge screen presence (he reminds me of Dolphy), kahit hindi hardcore action films i think papatok pa rin siya sa takilya.

Natuwa naman ako nung nakita ko si Cholo! (di ko alam name ng artista na yun, basta yung bida sa koreanovela)

Diary of a Nymphomaniac - 8.5/10. May pagka-soft porn lang, pero natuwa ako dun sa story. Mejo nakarelate, chos.

Chinese Zodiac As usual, a good, solid Jackie Chan movie -- great stunts, lots of fight scenes, galing ng choreography, and a bit of comedy.  At 58 and for someone who does his own stunts, he is still in top top shape.  AWSAM!!!!!  May kahabaan nga lang yung movie.  Gusto ko yung mga gadgets na ginamit niya sa movie na ito at yung girl na kasama niya sa team.  The movie kinda reminds you of Armour of God and Operation Condor where he also played a treasure bounty hunter.

I read that the rumors that is circulating that this is Jackie Chan’s last action movie seems more of PR material than anything.  It was said that he will be in ‘The Expendables 3’ and another ‘Rush Hour’ film with Chris Tucker.

Les Mis - 7/10 (Hindi kasi ako mahilig sa musical masyado. Medyo inantok ako nung war na)
Life of Pi - 8/10 (Ako lang ba ang tawang tawa sa movie na to? Hahaha. Hindi ko alam kung comedy o drama e. But it's really good!)

Sis ako din tawang tawa sa movie tho drama yta sya.nakakatawa kasi mga pinag-gagawa ni Pi. pero moving yung story no.

Skyfall - the latest james bond movie installment. i wasn't able to watch in the cinema kaya i just downloaded it. it was a little bit disappointing kasi sad yung ending. but overall, i loved it!

Les Miserables - 5/5 rating - grabe ang gandaaaaa!!!!! sobrang grabe natuwa ako!!! ilang beses ako naiyak. the performances were great! bravo to Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, and the girl who played Eponine. grabe, nahabag naman ako kay Eponine... parang gusto ko na si Eponine na lang ang makatuluyan nung guy. waaaaahhhh!!!! grabe iyak ako ng iyak dun sa "On My Own" ni Eponine. tama ang comment ni Adam Lambert re: Russel Crowe, he didn't sound good, hehe.

pero grabe talaga!!! di ko ma-get over ang Les Miserables, ito rin kasi ang first time ko mapanood ang any Les Miserables production, whether film or theatre, as in ito pa lang ang napapanood ko. na-excite tuloy ako panoorin yung naunang film production ng LM. tsaka na-curious din ako dun sa 2 theatre productions na andun si Lea Salonga, wala bang DVD na mabibili nun. hehe

Life Of Pi

This is not just another "castaway" movie, it's a movie about survival and faith in hopeless situations done in a very beautiful way of storytelling.

The opening scene was great and the background music was very soothing. I don't agree that the movie was boring, i was deeply immersed into the movie that i felt there were no dull moments. Suraj Sharma gave a remarkable performance as Pi, he should've been nominated for an Oscar.

The visual effects were breathtaking, you couldn't tell if the animals were real or not, especially Richard Parker. The tiger was his own character, with a role that is almost as important as Pi.

The movie was emotionally compelling, i will never forget the scene when Pi said he was ready to die, and when Richard Parker left. For me that was the most moving and heartbreaking part, i could tell how Pi became so attached with the tiger. Because the movie showed me the things Pi did for survival, I was moved by how he managed to live through that ordeal. Just the thought of being stuck in that endless sea is so terrifying.

This is one of those few films that will leave me a lasting impression, yes the visuals were stunning, but it was the character of Pi that i will never forget.

I suppose in the end, the whole of life becomes an act of letting go, but what always hurts the most is not taking a moment to say goodbye.

Life of Pi - 4/5 - the story of this movie has a depth to it that makes it very impactful. i didn't find it boring at all. the actor who played Pi was excellent. also, metaphorical kasi yung movie, so it makes you think - that's one of the things that makes a "good movie" for me, yung may feel na "things are not always what they seem", this movie made me contemplate.

Acting wise, okay naman sila, pero the story, parang imposible na mangyari sa totoong buhay. Masyadong complicated. Ewan ko ba, hindi ako sure kung nagustuhan ko yung movie LOL

Life of Pi - 4.5/5 amazing visuals! Haven't read the book but the story for me is superb. Galing din ng actors.

The Haunting in Connecticut 2:  Ghosts of Georgia The movie has some decent scare scenes.  It also touched on the issue of slavery in American history.  The film purports to be based on a true story pero there are sites which denies its veracity.  Ito lang ang masasabi ko:  ayaw kong magkaroon ng "gift" na meron ang mga babae sa lahi nila Joyce, Lisa, and Heidi.

The Paperboy Trending yata ngayon sa mga movies ang balikan ang slavery noong mga sinaunang panahon.  I didn't know Macy Gray is also an actress until now that I have watched the movie.  John Cusack is an excellent actor -- he can swing it both ways -- as a protagonist or an antagonist in the movie and the viewer will either love him or hate him.  Tindi ng mga revelations about the characters dito.
