I'd just like to ask if important pa rin ang show money. If yes, how much ang magandang minimum to have in the bank.

Iba ata ang DS160 ng male applicants. Yung akin din walang tanong about school or previous travels. Weird.

About show money, yes better be prepared. Show them you can fund your own trip. So minimum of 100k I think.

I'm scheduled for an interview this Feb. Nervous and excited! Been backreading posts from another forum and so far I've noticed a trend with the questions. Practice lang parang nasa beauty pageant

Sa amin naman, we were prepared during the interview (Feb 2013), we brought bank statements, titles, etc. Pero wala naman in-ask na any supporting documents from us. Konting tsika lang then ok na. Pati yung mga kakilala namin e di rin hiningan ng any document. But yes, better to be prepared pa din. I believe ang mas importante naman sa kanila is yung ties mo dito sa Pilipinas, yung mga reasons to come back and not go TNT once in the US.

Mga sis... will pay na later sa BPI. Questons regarding sa pag set ng appointment, isang account lang ba ang gagawin kahit 2 kami ni hubby? Umabot na kase ako dun sa portion na add dependent ata or family members. Or need din mag register ng husband ko then sa kanya naman add niya ako? Thanks.

Question ulit. If may mga mali ka bang nailagay sa DS160 you can correct during the pre screening like middle name and also now lang namin nalaman may isang cousin pala sa US yun husband ko.
Btw, we haven't paid and scheduled an appointment yet can we just create a new DS160 for him?

Undeclared cousin lang ba mali? Kasi I have cousins din but I didn't declare them anymore pati aunt ko na na-trace during interview di ko dineclare and yet, I was granted 10 years multiple...

^sis better to apply for a visa first. Lalo na us embassy, you never really know why they deny applicants. Its not like Schengen or japan visa na pag complete requirements ka sure ball approve ka. Pero alam ko may may airlines naman that refunds the airfare if in case ma deny yung visa. So you may check on that too.

Thanks sis! How long ba dapat yung time before ipa-sked? Gusto sana namin mga June/ July para kung 6 months lang ma-grant (haha sana naman longer ) eh pasok pa rin if December yung trip.

I have a visa on my passport with my maiden name, if i change my passport to my married name, is the visa still valid or do i have to re-apply?

^same case with me when I got married with a valid US visa under my maiden name. Just bring a copy of your marriage certificate every time you travel to the US.

hi! nakapag set na kami ng appointment. have a question re: visa applicants are NOT PERMITTED to bring any kind of electronic and battery-operated devices (cellular phone, digital camera, laptop, music player, portable game consoles such as PSP, etc.) into the U.S. Embassy. may nabasa akong maski calculator bawal, paano kaya yung alarm / powerlock sa sasakyan? naisip ko lang kase electronic and battery operated din siya. thanks.

Goodluck sa interview mo! I have the same case tulad ng sa'yo (single, have enough savings, and traveled to different countries already) and I'm planning also to apply this year na for a US Visa. Ang purpose ko lang naman ay sunduin ang lola ko na 92 years old na pauwi ng Pinas kase hindi na niya kaya mag-isa. Balitaan mo ako ha

Sis silke, I suggest you ask for an invitation letter from your aunt stating that she is ready to accommodate you and she will cover the expenses.  Ofcourse, hingi ka na rin sa kanya ng financial documents to support her guarantee.  Though hindi naman palagi humihingi ng documents ang mga consular officers, maganda na yung ready   Also, since hindi pa kayo legally separated ni hubby, married pa rin i de declare mo and sya yung ties mo dito sa Philippines para bumalik.   Fill-out the DS160 form then get an appointment for interview.  Before you obtain an appointment you need to pay first yung visa fee. HTH

^ thanks sis! Yun nga rin advice sakin nung friend ko na may travel agency. Although di pa rin daw guaranteed na maapprove. Oh well, just keeping my fingers crossed na lang. :-)
