who here has filed for a consular report of birth abroad at the us embassy manila? I'm pregnant kasi and my husband is a US citizen living with me here in Manila. I want to give birth here and just file for a report of birth at the US embassy. Kaso I checked parang ang hassle? Super daming requirements. I'm thinking twice tuloy if sa states nalang ako manganak.

medyo nalito lang ako sa US embassy website, hope you can enlighten me...

sabi kasi sa website, i have to pay first sa bpi. ($140 fee)

pero pagpunta ko naman sa bpi, dun sa BEA (bpi express assistant?  yung machine where you input the details of your transaction), hinihingan naman ako ng parang reference number.  so tinanong ko dun sa teller talaga, kung anong number yung hinihingi for the US Visa payment.  sabi nya, OR number daw.  eh magbabayad pa nga lang ako, so anong number kaya yun?

If i remember correctly ha, reference number is your passport number.

^^you need to download and print the US visa application payment slip. Dun mo makikita ang reference number. $160 na pala ang B1/B2 ngayon.

what are the chances of getting a visa kung student pa lang ako? may plan kasi kami ng mom ko na sa march stay ako dun ng 2 weeks bago start ng summer classes ko. sya magsponsor sa akin dun and green card holder din sya. wala akong ibang income kundi sa binibigay nyang allowance sa akin.

Hi. has anybody here underwent administrative processing? I applied for an f1 visa/student visa dec 12 and they gave me 221g and is under administrative processing and only a week left before school starts and I still havent heard anything. what does this mean? Hindi rin kasi kinuha passport ko. what are the chances?and is there another way to find out my status besides checking on their website? Thanks

^I think sis depende yun sa travel history mo at pera sa banko, which are added points for the consul to grant you visa.

I just wanna ask kung anong best way para maapprove ng visa. Here's my situation:

I have an aunt who's a US citizen. Her husband passed away last month. Wala sila anak so literally, mag isa na lang tita ko. She's about 65 yrs old, retired, and has several properties there. And now she wants me to go there and she's gonna cover all my expenses daw.

I just have 1 savings account na maliit lang laman,  been working in a call center for 4yrs, married and no kids. Separated kami ni hubby although not legally. Nag over the bakod lang sya. Problem is pareho kami ng tita ko wala idea tungkol sa pag apply ng visa. Pahelp naman!

We are planning to go sa December kasi my lola is sick. Gusto sana ng parents ko earlier this year kaso dahil sa work, Xmas talaga yung may long break lang.

Mas advisable na mag-apply muna visa before booking a flight? Sayang kasi if di ma-approve tapos bayad na airfare. :-/ my mom goes to the US (pero 1-2 weeks lang usually) for work kaya di nya sure ano mas ok pag personal trip na.

I have work here and my sister din. Ok naman bank account, pero we are both single. We have relatives there. Sa kanila kami stay if ever.

^sis better to apply for a visa first. Lalo na us embassy, you never really know why they deny applicants. Its not like Schengen or japan visa na pag complete requirements ka sure ball approve ka. Pero alam ko may may airlines naman that refunds the airfare if in case ma deny yung visa. So you may check on that too.

Please help. We filled out my husband's DS 160 last night. May part sa kanya previous work and sa education may question kung anong school siya etc.... Now, I'm filling out mine and walang na appear na ganung question? Present work lang ang lumabas.
