^ ako sis maxiroyce, mga 4 years akong pabalik balik sa US na maiden name yung nas us visa at
married name sa passport pero di naman ako naquestion kahit once pero just to be on the safe side
lagi nun, may photocopy ako nung marriage cert ko na dala ko each time nagtatravel ako sa US.
pero narenew ko na us visa ko 2 years ago at ayun di ko na dinadala ang marriage cert peromkahit
kelan di naman sila nagtanong.he!he!

@poshgurl yes pwede kayong dalawa ni hubby sa loob ganon din kasi kami yung baby lang namin (3mo) yong pina interview namin since meron na kami. Good luck!

My bf's employer is going to apply for his L1 visa. He wants me to go with him so we're planning to get married any time soon. Paki guide naman po ako regarding sa application for L2.

1. Kelan po ba pwedeng iapply yun L2? I read somewhere na pwedeng isabay sa L1, if so, iforward na lang sa kanila yung documents; or

2. Wait until application is approved, then sabay kay L1 when he is scheduled to be interviewed sa embassy?

Interview namin ni hubby kanina and we got approved! Sooo happy! I promised myself that I'll give back to this thread that helped me a lot when we were still preparing.  Mamaya I will make kwento our experience.

Btw, dun sa mga nag-worry like me na hindi natin nalagay ang middle names natin sa given name field, don't fret kasi hindi naman naging issue at all during the interview

Just want to share my experience when i applied for a US visa last May.
Dito me sa tokyo nagapply..

Consul: What's the purpose of applying VISA
Me: I want to go to New York and do sight seeing
Consul: Why New York?
Me: Well I am fan of GOSSIP GIRL, I want to see the places where they shoot the scenes.
and then the consul just gave me some LOL expressions..
nagprepare din ako just incase tanungin kung sino mga characters sa GG..
Other questions were, sino kasama ko and my job.
Then approved na..

So when applying for a VISA and purpose is to tour lang talaga,
just show na excited ka to travel and visit those places..

We were asked the ff:

Purpose of our trip
Where we were going
How long have my parents been in the US (since we put them down as primary contact and where we'll be staying)
Our jobs and respective salaries
Length of planned vacation if approved
Did we have an idea daw ba of the total amount the trip will cost
My ongoing petition (we were petitioned by my paternal grandfather kasi)
If we have kids
# of times I've been to the US

Basically yun lang then he said approved na kami and wait for the passports to be delivered within a week.  Parang naging mahaba lang ang feeling kasi type ng type yung consul without saying anything.  But he was very mabait and yung tone nya was conversational, not stiff and formal, unlike those consuls on either side of us na magkakasunod ang dineny at parang napaka-formal makideal sa applicants sa lane nila.  Cute pa si sir haha.

Sabi nga ni hubby, ambilis naman pala nun.  First time nya kasi.  Ang last memory ko of an interview there matagal na kasi bata pa ko nung pumunta kami dun so nagulat din ako na mabilis na din pala ngayon.  Ang mahirap lang kahapon was waiting in the rain so very early in the morning!  Haha.  Pero nakakatuwa din kasi makikita mo everyone was being so nice to everyone sa pila and I found myself praying na sana lahat kami kahapon dun maapprove.

Hi mga sis..Im applying for f1 visa yung student visa pero I just got home about a month ago from US under j1 visa pero gusto ko kasi ulit bumalik so nagapply agad ako ng f1 visa..may possibility ba na maapprove ako or gaya ng sabi ng iba na baka madeny kasi yOu need to stay muna sa pinas ng atleast 6 months bago umalis ulit?Im so worried

^^hi, sis... what happened na to your interview?
and pano mo nakita na you had a wrong answer sa ds-160? as far as i know, pag female, di ina-ask yun travel history.

affected ba ng US shutdown yung interview? meron akong interview this oct 17.

I believe the US embassy manila already released a statement that they are not affected by the shutdown.

Had my interview yesterday and fortunately was able to renew. Yehey!!! Tama yung sinabi nung mga sis natin, lahat ng tanong based lang sa application na binigay mo.
before our interview, there was 3 people in front of us tapos isa nasa window na.
1st applicant - Pag dating namin yung isang nasa window, nakikipagtalo pa sa consul. don't know kung ano sinasabi ng applicant pero ang nadinig ko lang na sinabi ng consul "You can re-apply if you want". Denied.
2nd applicant- yung isang applicant working in convergys for 3 years, tapos after nun sinabi na ng consul na "it's not enough" not sure if it's the salary of the years of employment. She's 32 years. Denied.
3rd applicant- yung isang applicant ang tinanong sa kanya kung nakapagtravel siya abroad, hindi pa ata ever. Medyo may age na siya siguro 50's.Denied.
4th applicant - she's gonna take an exam. approved. she was given 6 months visa.

Lahat yung mabilis lang mga  3 minutes each applicant lang. I don't know if it's just me feeling ko, he just looks at the application and based na dun ang status ng application mo. I think he just half listened sa sagot ko. Bago pa siya nagtanong alam na niya yung istamp sa papel mo. but that's just me.
Also just dress well, the first two applicants looked like they're going to a mall. Jeans and t-shirt lang. You have to look like you can afford it for goodness sake. Just not OA na hindi ka comfortable sa suot mo. I would recommend smart casual attire.
