@drag0nfly, sis if I understand your post correctly u did the same thing I did for my baby's application which is

Given name - first name ONLY
Last name - last name ONLY

My baby's middle name which was my last name when I was single I put in the other field called full name in local language. Sis, no problem naman sa baby Ko. He was given 10yrs B1/B2 multiple visa.

@jha6354, sis I suggest u choose the visa u are applying for based on your purpose, which is business as u said.  Even if B1 Lang ang binigay sayo, u can still tour the places u want upon entry.

@nikki, thanks sis for replying.  yes, same ang ginawa ko sa ginawa mo.  dun ba sa visa ng baby mo both his first and middle names ang nilagay nila sa given name field?

^hi sis! I just checked sa visa itself Surname and Given name nga Lang. Eto nakalagay sis:

Surname : my baby's last name
Given name : my baby's first (2 names) and middle names

Bigla ako napa isip san nila nakuha yun middle name since wala etong field na to sa ds-160. Haha. I guess they are that smart lol
Or maybe from that other name field in local language

hi mga sis, natanong ko na to sa isang thread about us petition, etc pero tanong ko na din dito baka po may idea kayo.

i have a few questions lang sana, i hope matulungan nyo ako.

Is it possible for a permanent resident to petition his illegitimate daughter (married and more than 21 yo) to the US? nababasa ko kasi only USC can petition their married children. And, i read na kapag illegitimate, kelangan ng DNA test. do you guys have an idea how much this costs?

And, is it possible for a USC to petition her half sister (married and more than 21 yo) to the US?

Hi everyone. I just have a question.

My husband and our 9month old son will be applying for a visa. Schedule na nila is this thursday.

Ako, i already have my visa.

Will I be allowed to enter the embassy with them?

One more, if ever ba will the consul kaya allow me to speak during the inteview?

^sis, AFAIK, yung interviewees lang with confirmed appointments ang pinapayagan sa loob, unless you're a US citizen, or assisting a disabled/elderly/sick person or a minor child. In your case, sabay naman si hubby and baby mo so malamang si hubby ang mag-aassist kay baby mo. and no, hindi ka pwede mag-join during the interview (hindi ka nga papasukin sa loob eh). in cases of spouse or fiancee or immediate relative ng US citizen, allowed si US citizen sa loob and they can be asked or join the interview pa. otherwise, not allowed inside.

^^sis, u should be allowed to enter the embassy with your baby esp you are the mother.  Your hubby definitely needs help with the baby. Malikot na yang stage na yan. Besides, it will endanger your baby since your husband will need to hold on to their papers/documents while carrying your baby.. Mahirap sa yun. Pano pag nagutom si baby mo?  And yes, your baby's visa application will be based partly or wholly on the parents circumstance. Pls bring with you your original US visa (passport) as that will help with your baby's application. 

When we applied for our 7-mo old baby's visa, both hubby and I were there. That was last July.

Kami kasi just hubby and baby eh. Kasi I have na.

Pero yun din naisip ko eh. Mahihirapan hubby ko, kawawa sila pareho ng anak ko kung hindi ako kasama.

Yes sis ready na documents nila pati passport ko with visa.

^sis, yes both hubby and I have 10yr visas at si baby Lang in-apply namin last July for our US trip in December. He was also given 10yrs.

Not sure ha, pero si baby mo will be in priority lane so Baka si hubby kasama na rin sa Kanya or sabay na ang interview. Tell the pinoy folks Lang assisting the applicants once inside. Ang hirap naman ata Kung tapos na baby mo tapos ang tagal pa sa pila ni hubby diba. I assume isasabay na sila sa priority lane.

^^ if you phrase it that way, talagang hindi ka maaapprove. especially with all those chars and LOLs.

like people here have been saying over and over, just be honest. because that's pretty much your only option. be polite. confident but not cocky. be matter-of-fact during the interview. siyempre 'pag sinabi mong thru the generosity and kindness ek ek eh lokohan na 'to. isang tanong, isang sagot. maybe it will help if you can present to them a detailed itinerary? after all, people who travel for travel's sake usually have one.

exactly. what will you do if you lie? can you mask it with lie after another lie if the consul ask more questions?
so go back to basics, BE HONEST and BE RESPECTFUL.

magagaling yang mga consul na yan mangilatis ng tao. really, they know how to check if you are lying or not.
sa sample ng answer mo, you will be denied definitely lols!

and btw, although important yung means to travel, it is not the most important thing they check.
most important with them is to make sure you have a reason to go back here and hindi mag-TNT.

@deni, sis we didn't ring a stroller. Just a carrier. But some applicants with their toddlers brought an umbrella type stroller. During our sched, our baby was the youngest. The rest are I think about 1 yr and up.

I'm sure you can bring a stroller with u.

@Deni we brought an umbrella type stroller kanina. I think better na you bring one kasi nakakapagod magbuhat. Matagal ang waiting pero pagdating sa pre-screening mabilis na kasi priority ang kids.

hi. thanks for your tip, but i think it is easier said than done. for how will you reply when one does not have work and money? btw, this is not just a hearsay, i've read this in another thread here.

e kasi pag sinabi mo yun honestly e di denied ka na din for not having any means at all to travel to the US. what would be the sample Q&A kaya for this sa consul?

Like:

Consul: What is the purpose of your travel to the US? Me: For leisure/tourism purposes chorvaness.
Consul: What do you do in life? Me: Tambay ever, no work, no play char.LOL
Consul: How long have been a bum? Me: Been looking for work but has not been fit for what the HR is looking for.
Consul: How will you fund your trip? Me: Thru the kindness and generosity of my rich fambam lol
Consul: Sorry, DENIED. LOL haha

I mean, how can I be honest in this kind of situation?

^It means, you really have no means to travel. 

The consul has the right not to grant you visa unless you can prove that you have a relative who will sponsor your spendings.  If you don't have any proof of coming back, then consul will def not give you visa.  I'm not sure why being honest won't grant you visa (unless nga you're a bum with no proof of going back). 

Why lie if your intention to go to the US is purely leisure.

nabasa ko din sa kabilang forum na walang work and savings pero naapprove ang US tourist visa na application. lucky!

^ sis may presumption kasi ang mga consul na youll stay there for good unless you prove otherwise. so you have to have a really good reason na youre coming back. if walang work, probably the next best thing is to have  strong family ties here in the PH. meaning no immediate relatives. dito family mo sa pinas. 

when i was interviewed, di na nila ako tinanong sa family ties kasi feeling ko napasa ko yung questions sa economic aspect (meaning may work naman me). if sa category na yun mejo alangan, most likely sa family ties ka nila isaask ng mga questions pa.

^tama si jazzlwyer, if wala silang makuha sa economic aspect mo kasi no work and no savings, next question will be if you have strong ties to the philippines.
honestly, my first overseas trip is the US when i was a teen so of course wala akong work, wala akong savings and tita ko sa US nag fund ng trip ko. i was granted a visa naman lols

madami lang naman kasi makahanap ng means to travel. tayong mga pinoy pa!
