other sisses, question. I was trying to set an appointment for October kaya lang naka grey out na. Pati November & December. Does that mean, puno na? Or hindi pa sila nagpapa-appointment for those dates?

Yey! Got our visas na Kasama namin yung baby ko kaya di na kami nakapila. But i think, mabilis pa din naman kahit hindi expedite. Ang mga questions lang samin were reason of travel, nature of our work and kung gaano na kami katagal dun, places na ivivisit namin sa US, who will finance our trip, duration of stay and if we have relatives there. Di na kami nahingan ng mga supporting docs pero maganda na din na nakaready kami. 730am ang appointment namin and before 9am, tapos na kami

Is a home loan a strong tie to go back here?

i have an existing home loan but it was never asked on me. i brought my contracts pa man din. so imo, it really doesnt matter.

Mga sis, if b2 visa was issued, gaano katagal ang validity to use it?? Lets say 3-6 mos lang ang binigay na b2 visa (im not sure whats the min. they can give). Im planning to have my dad apply for a b2 visa but hindi nya agad magagamit within six mos.. Maybe 7-9 mos pa after visa issuance, pede ba yun?  Help!

^usually they give either 6 months single entry visa or a 10 year multiple one.


Why dont you let your dad apply for a visa  6 months before the trip then in case bigyan lang siya
ng 6months single entry. An expired visa is an expired visa. If it states it will expire on the 6th month
obviously you wont be able to use it on the 7th.

Mga sis, sa DS-160 dapat ba ilagay ang middle name and last name both sa surname field?  Sabi kasi dun na put all last names indicated in your passport.  Naguluhan ako kung last name lang ba dapat ilagay or kasama middle name.

But to answer your question, last name only on the last name field.  Pero may field din called "full name in local language" if I'm not mistaken, and dun Ko nilagay ang middle name ni baby which was my last name when I was not married yet.

walang middle name nga as i remember. what i did was:

Eg. Maria Kristine Sy Cruz (example only)

FIRST NAME: Maria Kristine Sy
Last Name: Cruz

Ganyan kasi sabi ng mom ko eh. Lol we've been issued 2 10  year multiple visas already and
I always write my middle name with my first name.

Hi mga sis, I have a question regarding Given Name sa DS 160. I just found out na need pala isama yung middle name sa Given name, kaso first name lang nalagay ko, pano kaya yun eh nasubmit ko na yung ds 160 ko may confirmation na din, and may schedule na rin ako ng interview...baka maging cause pa yan ng denial ng visa ko. I applied for business visa, sponsored by my company.

I also think given name should be [First Name] [middle name] [last name].  Surname should be the last name, not middle name plus lastname.  Kasi nakakagulo sa database ng US yun when they do alphabetical order of the surnames.

For instance if your name is Jane Allison Garcia Doe,

First name: Jane Allison
Surname: Doe (not Garcia Doe)

baka magkaroon pa ng inconsistencies pag magdedeclare kayo ng family members of the same surname na citizen sa US.

Hello. Im still a college student and I recently got approved for a student exchange program in the US next year. Would it be easy to get a visa now? The only countries we've been to is JP, HK, & SG plus wala naman work mom ko cause it's my dad who's working. Thanks!

^I think ok ka naman.  Just present your invitation (proving the exchange student approval).  Mas mahigpit sila sa tourist visa.

That's what I ended up doing.  Totally forgot to check my previous US visas for the format.  Kung chineck ko, nakita ko sana na Given Name field = first name + middle name.  Haay.  Do you think this'll pose a problem?  Nasubmit ko na kasi forms namin ni hubby, confirmed na, visa fees paid and appointment set.

Our company told us to apply for B1/B2 because our boss also wants to tour us every weekend.

Is it better to apply for B1 instead, kasi business trip naman talaga yung purpose?

i checked my visa.. B1/B2 nakalagay. i can't remember what type of visa did i apply for. but i don't think it will matter if they're going to tour you during weekend. main purpose is business trip naman, just like mine. not sure... check with other sis din..
