Front Load Washers

+ Most energy efficient and water efficient (1/3 water vs top load washer)
+ Stackable which can save floor space
+ Drum spins much faster so clothes are left dryer in the end
+ Gentle on clothes
- Less loading capacity (example, 7kg front load washer vs 14kg top load washer)
- Wash cycle time can be longer than top load washer
- Not as easy to add last minute items during actual wash cycle (but still possible)
- Low to ground so needs extra pedestal if bending/kneeling is hard for you
- Some people feel clothes are less cleaner than top load washer
- Can develop molds and smell issue (if not maintained properly or door not left open)
- Most expensive price

front-load washers are used in first-world countries since time immemorial. A front load washer is synonymous to an automatic washer. front load washers are not new in Phil but most pinoys see it as too expensive and too technical and a power guzzler yet they don't know its efficiency and efficacy. at least 'inverter tech' has become a pinoy byword for energy-saving nowadays. Generally, pinoys are used to mechanical top load washers that's why most top load washers (panasonic, whirlpool, etc) are locally manufactured to cater to this market segment. Like the ref, generally pinoys are used to single-door or 2-door only. Nalulula if the ref is side-by-side. some users, prejudiced as they are, stick to their comfort zone coz this is the only thing they are knowledgeable of. Samsung touts high efficiency top load washers yet in Korea, the appliance centers there market front-load washers and Korean households use from-load wm. Simply put, there's really a profitable market segment in Phil for top load washers. understandable coz one's purchasing power plays a huge part.

^ sayang nga on our part kasi may mga front load washers na ngayon na nasa 15-20k range na lang, hindi na rin nalalayo sa presyo ng top load na 10-13k. last year kami bumili. the one i saw na 15k electrolux brand pa na 6kg capacity, good for small families likeours. hayy. move on na lang.

Already got a new washing machine for home use. The objective was to get a fully automatic washer with big capacity, high efficiency and a budget of P30k max. At these price range, the contenders are 7kg Front Loaders and 12kg Top Loaders.

After comparing the features of available models, I found the LG WF-S120V to be the best choice for my objective. I purchased this in the province at P24,300 cash. This model is also sold in AyosDito.ph for P22,990 with free delivery within Metro Manila.

Big Capacity
With 12.0 kg, we can load more items in one go. Bulky items such as beddings and curtains are no issue.

Inverter Direct Drive Motor
I did not plan to get Inverter motor but finding out some Front Loaders with Non-inverter motors are also priced similarly or even higher, might as well go with an Inverter model. Example,

High Speed - 950 RPM
Higher RPM means drum spins much faster so clothes are left dryer in the end. The LG WF-S120V is almost as fast as the 6.0 kg Whirlpool Front Loader and is 230 RPM faster than 12.0 kg Samsung Top Loader.

Heater + Steam
This model has built-in heater. It include 2 programs that use hot water for washing, and you can also activate Steam option.

*Allergy Care Course = 60C Heating + Steam option.

Tub Clean+ and Full Stainless Steel Tub

Full stainless steel tub is more effective in controlling bacteria growth and with Tub Clean+ course, the tub gets 99.99% sterilized using 60C hot water.

The rest of the features are nice bonuses but not part of my main considerations.

^10 months ko nang gamit Samsung frontload WM machine ko. So far so good. Matipid sa lahat - kuryente, tubig, sabon at fabcon. I especially like it's sanitizing mode para sa mga bath towels para tanggal ang amoy lumlom. Mas tuyo ang mga damit from it's spin cycle and since frontload sya, mas hindi nababatak batak ang mga damit during laba kaya lesser ang deformation di gaya sa top load namin dati na buhol-buhol ang mga damit.

based on the reviews and friends' washing machines, they highly recommend LG. very reliable and lasts quite a long period of time. I purchased LG topload worth almost P12k. So far, I have no issues whatsoever. Been using it though for 3-4 months.

Ecobubble na 7kg sis. 30k++. Sorry di ko na sure how much kasi me kasabay sya nung binili namin so nakadiscount ng malaki. LG is good din. Yung top load na manual wm namin 12 years naming ginamit. Sya yung pinalitan ng Samsung. Napamana pa namin sa iba kasi gumagana pa. Kinalawang na lang yung ilalim na part ng body nya na natitilamsikan ng tubig pag naglalaba.

Since last week buying mode na ako ng washing machine kasi nasira na yung fully auto ko na sharp. I am considering to buy front load type since i heard many good reviews about efficiency and energy saving capacity, then i saw this hanabishi 6.5kg which is the cheapest so far php13,000.00++ lang. When i was about to buy it, may price increase na kaya hindi ko sya binili, now the price is php16,000.00.

When i went to duty free mall last sunday the cheapest front load washer is electrolux at usd303.00 which is discounted already. and when i went back yesterday the price dropped to usd178 from usd327 (orig price). so i bought it already and im happy with it now. its only php8,000.00 at may sukli pa ako kasi the conversion rate is only 44.55

For those who are using front load washing machines, any feedback or tips regarding detergent use? Since less water yung gamit sa front load for washing, less water din yung banlaw. Yung local detergents natin mabula. So usually, hindi enough yung 1 rinse cycle to completely get rid of soap residue.

Sa ibang bansa kasi, may detergent sila na HE, which is less suds but as effective as ordinary detergent. So hindi kelangan ng maraming tubig to rinse.

^ pride is specifically for washing machines, hindi kasing mabula ng tide or other detergents and its the one ive been using.

^^use laundry detergent that is specifically made for wm. I'm using pride for years and I just need one scoop for my electrolux front load wm and there's no detergent residue naman.
