mas ramdam ang tipid ng inverter type for appliance that you use on extended periods of time like refrigerator and aircon. for washing machine, if you weekly use lang, not so much effect.

pero kung kaya ng budget bumili ng inverter type, then go for it. savings, no matter how small, is still savings.

if di kaya ng budget, pili ka na lang ng standard type washing machine na may low power consumption or energy saving feature.

^thanks sis. you''re right. i overlooked that aspect na di naman lagi gagamitin ang washing machine namin. we are better off indeed with what you suggested. 60k+ din kasi ang inverter.

P30,000 / P2,000 = 15 months (1.25 years) nabalik na pinambili mo ng aircon, inverter type

washing machine used only 1x a week, and hindi pa abot ng 8 hours ang use. probably P250 savings lang per month. anyways, kahit assume na natin na P500 savings per month.

P60,000 / P500 = 120 months (10 years) bago mabalik ang pinambili mo ng washing machine, inverter type

what if masira pa yung washing machine before that 10 years, di ba?

any washing machine model with non-inverter motor, including fully automatic. piliin nyo ang model with higher efficiency or with energy-saving features.

same ng sa amin..we opted to buy yung may inverter technology sa frequently used appliances like ref. sa washing machine naman, na once or twice a week lang gamitin, normal automatic washing machine lang muna binili namin. ang pansin ko kapag inverter yung washing machine, normally ang laki nung capacity (minimum 9 kgs) which i think is quite big for our family.

I bought electrolux automatic washer-dryer eww 14012 to replace my old electrolux washer and dryer. although my old washer and dryer are still in excellent working condition, iba talaga ang modern technology nowadays. I hope this will reduce my electricity cost significantly since we wash our clothes twice or thrice a week. my two old ones are quite noisy. the new one is just humming. the new washer's capacity is 10kg and it's inverter tech na. The new dryer's 7kg. The old dryer has a hose to emit the heat it generates while wala na to sa new one tapos hindi na rin mainit ang new one. and of course, space-saver ang new wm coz two-in-one na. and the technicians who installed the wm assured me na iba na nga ang tech ngayon na kung masira ang isa, pwede pa rin gamitin ang isa. dati hindi ganito.

^i bought it only last Wednesday at sm appliance in moa for 52995. Original price is 54995 but there's a discount promo now for 2k (plus free basic samsung cellphone). delivery charge is 300 and it was delivered and installed on Thursday. Tested and proven ko na ang Electrolux wm. Though the SA of samsung tried so hard to sway my decision. maganda features din ng samsung (steam dry) but even the SA conceded that hindi pa talaga proven ang durability.

^wow, P52,995. mahal pa rin talaga mag-inverter washing machine. it will take more than 10 years before mabawi ng power savings yung pinambili ng machine.

^no. look at the cost accounting. it's a washer and dryer. We wash 3x a week. inverter is modern tech. If you choose to stay put with old tech just to justify that your laundry only takes up just how many kilos, then it's much cost effective if you have it laundered outside rather than using your precious electricity at home.

^yup, meron ako naunang computation sa taas for inverter washing machine.

yung sulit talaga for now is inverter ref and inverter aircon. sa inverter aircon, it just take 2 years or less para mabawi ang pinambili ng aircon.

^to each his own. i'm an accountant so I should know its costing vs pricing. i will not buy an inverter wm, automatic at that, if I don't know it's cost benefits in the long run. you have to get one to know the advantages and I'm not new to inverter tech (all my split-type aircons are of inverter tech) and adaptive tech (my sbs ref) so I should know how my electricity bill is vis a vis per kwh. but if I'm going to break it down here just for the sake of argument, what for? should I defend the quality of an easy life I'll be having of using an inverter automatic wm or do i need to sour-grape and justify it with computation of costing just because I can't afford to buy an inverter appliance? I'm not feeding the troll.

^i don't mean to make you feel upset with your purchase. if it serves the purpose for you, then it is a good buy regardless if it takes years to recover the cost. hopefully it will last 10 years.
