Agoda or Asiatravel? Which websites do you go to for hotel booking

For Hotel alone, Agoda laging mas mura eh.

For a package that includes hotel, transfers, tickets, tours, etc. I always go of course with Asia Travel.
I don't know how it goes in the Philippines, pero dito sa dubai superb ang service nila! Tapos I can make it in installment pa using my credit card, 0% interest

Sis di ko pa na try, yan, what I'm doing kasi may kausap akong agent, kapag ibobook ko na yung nasa website, she will give me a link to book and pay, same time confirm naman kaagad. I'm guessing it will be the same, usually real time na kasi ngayon diba.

natry ko na agoda, expedia, booking.com and airbnb. depende kasi kung anong hotel ang gusto ko stayhan. tapos hinahanap ko kung anong site yung may pinakamurang offer. so far, wala pa naman kasi ako naencounter na ipaparefund ko yung hotel booking ko. yung airbnb maganda naman, pero kung minsan scary kasi marami na din nagpopost na dangerous ang ibang host.

yep walang naman din ako naexperience na hassle basta available or green na dun sa Asiatravel, haven't tried yung yellow though.. Oh well, di na rin talaga completely available yung hotel na bo-book ko sana. hehe
with airbnb naman, haven't had any issues. May mga review naman and feedback, I usually book yung madami ng good reviews para sure.

I'm glad I saw your post. Medyo hesitant kasi ako magbook sa Agoda, Expedia, etc. Kung dito lang sa Philippines, okay lang siguro. Kaso sa US (New York) kami magbabakasyon. Natatakot ako na baka pagdating namin doon eh magkaproblema. Legit naman yung Agoda, Expedia, Booking.com di ba?

Agoda though twice pa lang din naman ako nagbobook sa kanila, 1 sa bora 1 sa hk. Okay naman customer service nila specially nung sa HK yunh Inn kasi binabagsakan kame ng phone since hindi sila marunong mag english, so I contacted agoda to ask help and make sure that my reservation is good to go and to inform them that we will be arriving late. Agoda was very helpful naman, they contacted the owner directly.

I'll try agoda for our next trip. Mas mura ng 200 pesos per night as compared to booking. Hopefully ok experience namin with agoda.

I'm always agoda, mabili din customer service nila. Like kelangan mo assistance to contact a hotel.

I'm glad I saw your post. Medyo hesitant kasi ako magbook sa Agoda, Expedia, etc. Kung dito lang sa Philippines, okay lang siguro. Kaso sa US (New York) kami magbabakasyon. Natatakot ako na baka pagdating namin doon eh magkaproblema. Legit naman yung Agoda, Expedia, Booking.com di ba?

Same here. I always book directly with the hotel's website to ensure no glitches. Not worth ruining your vacation for a few dollars savings. Besides, the rates you see on any third-party sites can also be matched by the hotel's website, especially if you sign up for memberships  (e.g. IHG Rewards Club is for hotels like Crowne Plaza, Intercontinental, Holiday Inn,  etc.).

Booked through Expedia, Agoda, Asiatravel, Hotels.com, lastminute, wotif, IHG and hotels directly wala pa naman problema. Naging issue ko lang recently iyong booking ko sa Expedia that I got on sale, then sa check-in when they took my card okay lang it's routine anyway but they never told me about the purchase authorisation na last nangyari was 3 years ago (most of the hotels I've went to before just take my card details without getting the purchase auth). I've already paid for it anyway but the auth amount was full price of our 2 day stay which was only removed 3 days after check out. Buti na lang may laman ang card and I got cash and enough money with my other cards.

I have always booked through Agoda and haven't encountered any issues so far. Search, pay and print lang siya. Pagdating sa hotel, pakita nalang ng voucher. Love ko flash sale & insider deals nila.

@kikayako - takot rin ako nung una mag book online, paranoid kasi ko sa mga scam sa credit card. Pero sa experience ko kasi madalas mas mababa yung rate nila compare kung direct bookings. Kaya ayun, go na rin ako. hehe Ang na-try ko na, Asiatravel (for Boracay), Expedia at Agoda (for Thailand and Malaysia). So far wala naman naging problema. Pansin ko lang mas konti yung hotels na avaialble sa Asiatravel. 

Pero check mo rin yung hotel's website, minsan pareho lang din nga.

My first choice is always "Booking.com". Apart from the perks I get for being a 'genius' (how they named the upper tier) member, it's very convenient to use and rates are cheaper than in any other booking website.

I've used Agoda in the past, it's okay. No issue, but not a standout.
