Bathing baby

Hi All,

I searched for this topic using the search function and wala naman lumabas na ganong thread, so I chose to start a new topic.

For the moms out there, how did you bathe your newborn baby and older babies? Did you buy a special bath tub for them?

I am thinking for buying the flexibath but I'd like to hear more opinions and suggestions.

For us, baby tub and the mesh supporter (the one you can lay against one side of the tub) when she was a newborn. We stopped using it once she could pull herself up na (around 4 months). Now she sits in the baby tub

We used baby tub also with bath support & since he's 6 months baby can sit na we are now using bath seat.

bumili ako ng baby bath tub pero wala ng  support sa loob. sana pwede na ang towel pang support for newborn.

Thanks ladies for your replies. Dilemma ko kasi we live in a tiny condo, so as much as possible gusto ko sana ng bath tub na pwede from infant to toddler. Ano kayang ok?

^may mga foldable tub sa SM sis. di ko lang sure kung kasya pa toddler doon.

^^pampolinous, at first, I also wanted an infant to toddler bath, so I got the Safety 1st 4 stages bath tub. The bath tub is extendable, so it would seem like a plus that you can store it smaller. However, I never got to like the tub because the surface had two levels (to hide the part that extends) and it was hurting my baby's back. So after that, I settled for a cheap plastic tub from landmark na mga 200+ and it's doing the job much better.  I think that's really all you need, a durable tub with a non-fancy surface, and a non-slip mat to put inside.  It's just harder to bathe newborns so just get him/her a mesh support or foam to put inside the tub for the meantime.  pero that phase passes really quickly and before you know it, they can sit on their own na

^buti pala di namin binili yun 4stages na yun. we're using the mesh lang and a malaking palanggana (rectangular shape). 1 month pa lang baby ko

regular tub lang yan sa SM. Sold separately. Mga total of 500 ata silang dalawa. Sobrang dali naman paliguan ng baby ko kase inumpisahan ko sa calming technique. Ayun, up to now she loves taking her baths.

I place a wet warm towel on her tummy. Yung water nya laging maligamgam. Wag ka magmamadaling paliguan sya kase lalong maiiyak sa bilis mo. kaya may wet towel, para hindi malalamigan yung tummy. I used Cetaphil before, now Lactacid baby. Pag sa pwet lang, Johnson and Johnsons baby milk chuva.

Kanta kanta sa umpisa. Para hindi sya maging katulad ng ibang bata na ayaw maligo sa pagtanda. Bathing should always be a pleasant experience for your baby.

For my newborn, i got a hand me down bath tub. Yung bulky with net. May price tag pa, P250 pero nabura na kung saan binili.  Sulit to for me kasi nakakatakot paliguan ang baby. At least dun, nakahiga and safe.  Pero around 6 month (my baby is preemie), i bought her an expensive bath seat from mothercare. Kasi ayaw na din nya humiga while taking a bath. Hinde to sulit kasi she wants to stand up and nahihirapan ako paliguan ang ulo kasi napupunta water sa face. Ang hirap patingalain. We ended up na sabay na lang kami maligo. I mean, after ko maligo, sya naman. May small upuan ako sa cr, yung panglaba type tas upo sya sa lap ko. So basa kami pareho. When she started to stand up, yaya put her in a basket - yung pang laundry. My baby loved it there. So it gave me an idea na dun na lang sya paliguin. Hinde pa sya naglalakad but she loved standing up na.perfect kasi height nung basket, nakakahawak sya sa pagtayo pero contained sya, hinde makakapaglikot.  Until now that she's 13 months na, dun pa din sya naliligo.

nung newborn baby ko, sa malaking plastic na mixing bowl sya pinapaliguan, then after 1 month, i bought yung plastic na palanggana na oval shaped. hanggang ngaun yun pa rin gamit ko. what we do kasi we shampoo first then rinse off yung sa buhok, then sa rubber mat ko sya sinasabon then after lublob na dun sa palanggana para mabanlawan tas swiming swiming kunyari then tapos na. my baby enjoys his bath time kapag ganun. minsan nga pag iniahon na namin umiiyak kasi ayaw pang umahon.

Wala pa ako nabibili para sa baby ko hirap pa naman na ako magagala sa mall ngayon, after two weeks nalang siguro pag natangal na pusod niya, sa table ko muna siya paliguan sa first two weeks niya..

Sis, baka kaya sya umiiyak kase biglang lumamig? Sa banyo, pagpinapaliguan ko baby ko bawal na buksan yung pinto para hindi papasok yung lamig. some babies are more sensitive sa lamig.

We use Safety 1st inflatable tub regalo ni Uncle nya saka I bought this mesh covered lounge thingy.  Sobrang convenient kasi safe na safe si baby kahit lumikot pa sya walang hard stuff around her.
