^ sis it's been a long time since i last cooked chicken arrozcaldo hmmm crave tuloy ako nito here's a very easy-to-do recipe Arroz CaldoNote: This recipe is from Reynaldo Alejandro's Philippine Cookbook 3 tablespoon vegetable or corn oil2 tablespoon minced garlic1/4 cup chopped onion8 1/2-inch slices of ginger1 2 - 3 1/2 pound chicken, cut into serving piecies4 tablespoons patis (or 2 tablespoons salt)6 cups water2 cups uncooked rice1/4 cup chopped scallion1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper In a large covered stockpot, heat oil and saute garlic, onion and ginger. Wait for the garlic to turn brown and onions become transparent. Add the chicken and patis or salt. Cover and let simmer for 5 minutes. Chicken will produce its own juices. Add water and rice. Stirring often to prevent sticking, simmer for 25 minutes over low heat or until chicken and rice are tender. Add chopped scallion and pepper before serving. I also like to add fresh lemon, lime or calamansi juice before eating.
alam ko madali lang ang champorado but can you tell me the ingredients and how to cook it? hehe. thanks!
^ guinataang bilo-bilo sis, super fave! pwede rin kaya guinataang mongo or mais.@iampennylane: yes sis, we use condesed din minsan, depende anong milk meron sa bahay hehe I saw this recipe ng champorado with coco milk -- http://www.pinoyrecipe.net/pinoy-tsampurado-or-champorado-recipe/.
parang ang hirap ng ginataang bilo-bilo kahit favorite ko din yan. matrabaho daw eh. hehe
"HEALTHY" ARROZ CALDO:Just substitute the rice ingredient below with OATMEAL. You'd be surprised it's super tasty. At first you'd thought "yucky, oatmeal?arroz caldo?" pero once matikman nyo na you'll love it.TIP:Wag nyo munang sabihin sa nilutuan nyo na oatmeal ginamit nyo, they'd be surprised and impressed after they find out
hindi yan. . .dati mahirap talaga dahil mano mano mong gagawin lahat...pagiling ng malagkit, kayod ng niyog, piga pa. . .ngayon kasi may nabibili nang powder malagkit at pag bumili ka ng niyog sa palengke pwede mo na dun ipakayod at ipagata.
Yes I tried before using oatmeal sa Arrozcaldo and its very tasty! MAs masarap pa sa kesa sa usual na malagkit or rice and very healthy pa. You can use oatmeal in Champorado masarap din!
