I agree to seek professional help re latching. I didn't have major problem with my 6-week old son naman re latching, it is more of me not being comfortable with the position I am in so I strain myself most of the time to the point na nakaka-frustrate din, napapagod at minsan gusto ko na lang din mag bottle feed ng expressed milk. So yesterday at TMC, I went to the lactation center. Marami pala Mali sa ginagawa Ko even with my baby's position. Pero after they showed me the right position and gave other info, mas relaxed and Sarap na ng feeling everytime I breastfeed my baby.

My patient si pedia, 7months premie, nakasurvive naman, but after 5months, nawala yung baby. The reason? Yung mommy daw kasi tinamad ikarga si baby while feeding expressed milk, ayun umakyat yung milk sa brain ni baby. Dapat pala daw kasi kung tinatamad kargahin, dapat man lang daw lagyan ng unan/ folded lampin yung ulo para naka tilt ng konti at bumaba yung gatas. Eh nakaflat lang daw kasi sa crib yung ulo nung baby, according to the mommy Na nicu pa yung baby, but the baby didnt make it. Sad talaga, kaya simula ngayon kahit side lying poition, lalagyan na dapat ng lampin ulo ni baby...

Ano ba effect sa breastfeeding mom at sa baby kapag uminom ka ng pills aside from the usual Daphne pills? HIndi ba pwede yung regular pill lang, dapat Daphne talaga? Thanks!

^^may bayad ba yung consultation sa tmc lactation center? And constipated si bebe sa milk ko pero i will continue breastfeeding her ang concern ko is that is it normal na mag lungad si bebe even after breast feeding?

sis bakit constipated baby mo sa breastmilk? diba sabi nila mas mabilis nga ma digest breastmilk?

@cerelina, what do you mean by constipated?  It is perfectly normal if your breastfed baby does not poop daily and some here wrote that their babies went on for a few days without pooping.  It is different though if you can see your baby straining hard (hindi lang yung may konting effort ha) to move her poop out.  In the latter case, it is best to seek your pediatrician's advice.

Sis cerelina, I paid 550. I suggest u bring your baby with u when u go so they can also check if the baby is latched correctly.

Re lungad, madalas din mangyari yan sa baby Ko. Feeling Ko Hindi rin normal but were still observing as advised by his pedia na rin. Minsan kasi parang reflux na Sobrang na-aawa ako sa baby Ko kasi it happens minsan kahit Tulog and even after mag burp. Minsan din pati sa nose Niya may lumalabas. Dito ako worried talaga.. But I hope it's just a phase and nothing serious.

Hindi na coconstipate si baby sa BM. Hindi lang siya marunong pa umire. Heheh. Si baby exclusively breastfed, hindi nag poops for 3 days, bingyan na ng suppository ni pedia. After na maipasok sa butt, ayun nailabas nya lahat ng naipon na poops. Ideally every other day sana ang pag poops ng baby, sa case namin 3 days n ea, ayaw na patagalin ni Pedia kasi kapag naipon yun sa loob ni baby, mas mahihirapan siya ilabas...

baby ko naman grabe maka poop. as in sumisirit pa nga minsan. tapos madalas siya mag poop in one day.

normal naman ito? paano ko malalaman kung diarrhea na?

A breastfed baby's stools are seedy, not so solid and with a mustard-like color.

Oh ok thanks namumula kasi sya pag umiire kitang kita na hirap sya umire. Normal pala yun. Concern ko parang may sipon pero parang kulay puti naman iniisip ko baka milk yun na natuyo. And malapot ba takaga yung breast milk? Thanks!!!

Possible breastmilk na natuyo yun sis. Paminsan kasi di natinakikitanlumalabas sa nose ang BM aside sa lungad. Pag sipon kasi diba either green or clear, tapos maririnig mo mahihirapan huminga si baby.

Hi breastfeeding moms! My baby is 4 months old already. Id like to ask when are you supposed to get your period back when you're breastfeeding? Wala pa kasi ako im so worried. Btw i only breastfeed at night. Minsan once or twice a day. The rest is formula na. Thanks

Our new house help and yaya arrived yesterday and as I mentioned in my earlier post, worried din ako sa frequent vomitting ni baby (lungad or reflux, not sure). Nabanggit nung maid na ganun din daw baby Niya before and sabi daw sa Kanya kasi Hindi masustansya ang milk Niya or Hindi maganda ang lasa kaya her baby keeps throwing up. Suggest ng doctor Niya mag formula na and since then tumigil na sa pagsusuka. This was not a potential cause discussed with my sons pedia last tues. is that even possible? My baby weighs 8.58lbs now and is growing bigger each day bordering overweight na nga raw pero ok pa and I attribute that to exclusive breastfeeding.

How is it possible na yun frequent lungad or reflux ni baby is cause by my breast milk?

^ewan ko lang ha pero sa tingin ko hindi totoo yan. ngayon lang ako nakarinig ng hindi masustansiya ang breastmilk. baka hindi maganda ang lasa pwede pa dahil sa kinakain ng mommy.

Ako ika 7th month ni baby bumalik period ko.. Ebf to my 18 mos old daughter.
