Using the toilet in public places?

For Moms of Toddler Kids: How do you go about going to the toilet in public places?

My daughter is turning 4 this December, already graduated from diapers. What I do whenever we go out is to (1) look for the cleanest toilet available (2) clean the toilet seat with alcohol and tissue around 3 times bedore I let her sit down to pee.

She cannot squat yet, to pee,  and I have always wondered how other moms do it.

But I always have an extra XXL diaper for her, if in case super dumi talaga ng available toilets, usually sa mga lakad na hindi ako sure kung may (relatively) malinis na CR. She says if she's about to go, then nilalagay na lang yung diaper.

Why not begin teaching her to squat at home? Someone will need to support her though at all times

Hi! Yun younger sister ko 20 years age gap namin kaya ako nakapagalaga sa kanya. Nung maliit sya and we use the public toilet, tinatanggal ko talaga yun pants nya before I bring her up the toilet to squat para just in case maihian nya legs nya madali lang hugasan sa sink and her pants wont get wet. Hindi namin sya pinapaupo sa bowl. Basta pag ipapa squat mo yun bata hawak mo din sya para alalay na hindi sya ma out of balance.

I clean the seat with Potty Spray or any hand sanitizer, wipe it dry, then line the seat with toilet paper or toilet seat liner before letting my daughter sit.

If it's dirty (like those in gasoline stations), I just pick her up and hold her over the seat (but I still wipe the seat prior to using pa rin dahil ayokong madikit yung damit namin).

Always put the lid down before flushing so that the little droplets from the toilet won't get to you or your clothing (just lift it back afterwards so that the next person using it won't think it's dirty).

And, pakiusap sana sa lahat, please don't wash your children's bottoms in the sink; it's not sanitary for everyone else, konsiderasyon na lang sa ibang gumagamit. Use a water bottle to wash them in the toilet if there's no bidet or tabo (when my child was a baby I used spray bottles--one with water and the other with diluted soap to clean her on the changing table or stroller).

If a child's still wearing diapers, it's also useful to bring a small plastic bag to place the soiled nappy in before throwing it para hindi mangamoy.

Lastly, wash hands before going out (dami kong nakakasabay, ganda ng damit, ng make-up pero hindi naghuhugas ng kamay); it's really important to train children proper hygiene for their own health.

For out-of-town trips, I bought one of those portable urine bags that I just leave in the car (haven't really used these, though, pang-emergency kung walang mahanap na toilet).
