Solo Travel (Thread 3)

Nakapg-solo travel na ako sa Boracay saka sa KL. Hehe. Pero sa KL, may days na nakipagmeet ako sa friends ko. Hehe. Basta pag solo trip ako, in-ensure ko na safe yung tutuluyan ko.

I technically had my first solo trip last December sa Seoul for a few days. What I love about solo trips eh nasa sa 'yo kung saan ka pupunta. I also booked for my own tickets and my accommodation. No one will and no one to blame if ever mawala ka. I had to learn everything by myself with the help of the internet lang Kung paano mag-train and stuff. Wala din akong kilala at di rin ako nakakapagsalita ng language nila. Seoul is a really safe city too. One of, if not the best experience ever.

Before I did go to Japan a few times. Pero I was staying with a family member. Pero almost all days, ako lang ang nag-iikot sa labas.

I plan to travel solo even once a year na Well, if time and my wallet permits. Hehe

I still feel apprehensive about travelling solo... hopefully I'll get over my fears soon. Nakaka intrigue din yung experience kasi..

I remember the first time i traveled solo, gabi ako dumating, so my tour started the next day pa. Nung umaga na nakahiga lang ako sa bed tapos ayaw kong bumangon kase di ko alam kung pano sisimulan yung tour ko. Hahaha. Kinonsider ko din magstaycation na lang haha pero syempre sayang naman ang punta ko dun. So I guess kahit takot and apprehensive tayo to tour by ourselves, we have to start somewhere. After that solo tour excited na ko ulit magayos ng itinerary ko for my next tour, to the point na nagtatampo na si boyfriend bakit daw di ko sya sinasama. Hahaha. Traveling solo is very liberating. It's not about the place you visited lang eh, yung experience talaga. From planning to actually going there hanggang sa pag uwi. Sobrang dami kong natututunan.

I booked a trip to Palawan yesterday. Sa November pa naman. This will be my first solo trip if ever. Sana lang hindi ko maisipang magbackout haha.

Mga sis I am going to Jakarta this March 14-16. I am 37 years old already and I have not travelled alone kahit dito sa Pinas. Sobrang fear ko kasi na mag-isa. Going Jakarta is my first ever trip out of the country so first solo trip and first outside trip din if ever. Ano ma-advise nyo sa akin?

research sis. tapos try to blend with the locals. First solo trip ko is singapore, pero I met my friend there. Then nag-HK ako. ayun mag- isa ko lang. Lakas lang ng loob. Tapos [textspeak!] una nafrustrate ako wala ako msyadong pictures, pero nung hindi ko na msyado inisip yung pag take ng picture ko, ayun mas nagenjoy ako hehe

My first solo travel was in SG and KL. One week SG and one week KL.
Went there alone and toured the country alone but some days I met with friends who work there but most of the time (70%) when I stayed in those countries, I just traveled alone. I even made new friends whom I met while visiting tourist spots. They were solo Pinoy travelers as well.
My second solo travel was in Sagada. I stayed for 3 days and two nights. I did hire a guide because it was required to go to the caves and some of the waterfalls. Funny thing was the guide got infatuated with me. LOL!
It's fun and I have total control over my time.
Just make sure you choose the places that are safe for us females when you travel alone.

mas prefer ko to go solo. kainis kasi yung mga friends ko na pakipot at domino effect, pag di sumama yung isa, lahat na hindi tutuloy!

well, nung nalaman nila i went there alone, nagulat pero mas nainggit!

I've traveled solo to Boracay twice before. Walang challenge kasi Boracay lang naman yon. And when I got there, may mga friends din naman ako na sumunod din. Although, hiwalay hotel and flights ko.

May times lang na may narinig ako na sounds pag gabi and nakakaparanoid. Pero masaya naman, I got to decide kung san ako kakain, anong oras ako lalabas, etc. Wala akong kailangan intayin.

True, mas friendly talaga foreigners. I remember my first solo travel some of the groups na nasakabay ko twice in a spot were looking at me as if i'm a freak for being alone

Gusto ko try magtravel ng mag-isa. Iniisip ko yung malapit lang muna. Gusto ko muna puntahan Liliw, Laguna kahit whole day lang o one night. Tapos sa Batangas. Dati ko pa gusto gawin ito kaso mga friends ko niloloko ako na gusto ko lang daw mag-emote.

Try mo lang, i always say that traveling alone is liberating. You can try Baguio din since madali lang puntahan.

^yes sis. naiisip ko din ang Baguio, matagal na din kasi ko hindi nakakapunta dun pero unahin ko muna malapit lapit sa manila saka yung di ko pa talaga napupuntahan.

^ i couldn't agree more! buti nga sayo freak lang sis. lagi nangyayari saken to wherein i always encounter the same group of pinoys whenever im on tour sa isang lugar. it happens when they see me, im always with a new guy everyday! ergo: parang powkie ang dating! hahaha minsan, combination pa ng mga new found friends!

I just finished my very first solo travel in Yangon and Bagan Myanmar from Feb 25 - Mar 1. Successful naman ang tour ko and definitely I will do this again. Yes nakakakaba nung una pero I just prayed hard and asked for help if necessary. Yes may itinerary naman ako pero sometimes pag nandun na may mga bagay pa ring di inaasahan.

pero been wanting and planning to do solo travel. safe kaya sa turkey?

sis, personally, i think Laguna is a good place to go for solo travelling. nagjoin kami ng cousin ko before sa isang travel group - Laguna-bound - Viaje del Sol. may 2 individuals sa group namin na solo travellers. it was only a day trip pero enjoy pa rin kasi madami kami pinuntahan. yung 2 solo travellers na kasama namin also enjoyed, kasi hindi nila na-feel na alone sila.
