So i posted here.

And how will you say sa recruiter na you'll still render 1 month for resignation and another month for the transition ng papalit sa post mo..

Post now ladies! :)

Hope madami makakapost for help! :)

You want a reason for leaving your previous employer?
Why don't you say the truth: too much politics in the workplace is not conducive to  good performance & skills upgrading?  Further say, you want to focus on delivering your best work, as a rule; so you want to be employed where professionalism is The Rule.
If I am interviewing you -- yan, matanggap  ko to give you a chance.

Do not ever say to a recruiter you will render sufficient transition/turnover time.
Hindi ka pa pinapapasok  eh exit na on your mind?

Cross your fingers the recruiter does not call your old boss/HR to get info on your performance --IF your departure/grounds thereof was not ok.

If you don't want to say the truth, just say that you are looking for greener pastures or better opportunities that allows you to grow. Stay classy and avoid being bitter by saying bad things (even if it's true) towards previous employer/company.

But in reality, office politics is present regardless of company size or nature. So don't expect that it doesn't happen or exist at all. Just deal with it once you find a new job because if you leave for that reason alone, company-hopping doesn't look good on a resume.

The thing is, study the company well.  Match your reason/answer to the business you are hoping to enter.

Coz when I interview engineers or admin people, and they say they are moving for greener pastures -- ah, I will have more questions to ferret out what lies behind that statement.
It usually means: I will not stay around for  long, my eye is on overseas employment.  Per my experience, they hang around for a year, or shorter, --  and just need to round off their résumé.  In our industry, it takes time to train people, and their mistakes are costly or disastrous --  so, training or probation can be expensive on our part.

thank you for taking time to answer :)

telling the truth is easier nga sana. pero as what some other people say "back-stabbing" the company isnt that good. though some recruiter gusto nila straight forward kesa sa mdaming pala-palabok sa storya.

thanks mga sis.

really, kating -kati na ako umalis. there were even times i sob or get-teary in front of the monitor.
if there's such thing as office bullying, well it already happened to me. oh well...

I agree with everyone else here and think that you should be honest about the real reasons you left your job. But to avoid "backstabbing" the company, I suggest you say it was the "company culture" or an "unprofessional work environment" that made you want to leave, and not the company per se.

^is office politics similar to office bullying?

There's a difference between office politics and bullying. For me, office politics is when the usual conflicts at work (ie differences in opinion or methods) escalate into power plays and rivalry. Every company has politics, but some companies are better at minimizing/resolving the conflict than others. Workplace bullying is just that - power-tripping and being mean for the sake of being mean.

^Granted you have been working with your present company/employer for years without salary increase in spite of your good performance, you can say in the interview with prospective company that your present salary does not commensurate with your experience.

There's no need to include in your reasons about your parents' retirement or about your brother being jobless.

^think of something else na hindi mo gusto about the company. i mean, it may not necessarily be about the company itself - transportation mo to and from the office, work shift mo, etc etc. ako i left my previous job kasi stressful din ang environment, pero aside from that, hirap ako sa pag commute to and from the office, talagang dahil dun wala na akong work-life balance kaya yun ang sinasabi ko sa interviews. meron din dati night shift naman ako, so sabi ko bukod sa health issues, hindi na rin safe mag travel kapag gabi, mga ganung alibi. :)

Just be honest, tell the new company you are still wanting to learn more and you think that the your current company cannot provide you new learning and challenge anymore. You want to gain more knowledge and skills.

I feel like creative slave here.  ;D

Kidding aside I am constructing right now so ito yung mga possible na sasabihin ko. I must be careful kasi dalawang klase applyan ko isang art and non art related

if art related
- There is no career growth.
- Not worth of the salary because of the distance of my workplace, meaning nasasayang lang pamasahe ko.

non art related
- I want to engage in new venture of business that is related to communication, I like motivating other people regarding their concerns and inquiries.

twice na ko nag-resign sa 2 different companies because of location. in the middle of my stay sa mga companies na yun, they transferred to another location na mas malayo. One of the reasons why applied to those companies is yung location...malapit sa house. so if they transferred sa mas malayo na inconvenient and mas magiging mahal ang expenses ko. ni hindi man lang sila nagbigay ng allowances or increase, I'd rather leave.  I told them the truth, sa mga inaapplyan ko.

Just be honest, it doesn't hurt to be honest.

^Sis anong reaction ng office when you did that?

In my case kasi pinagalitan ako sabay sinabihan na ang babaw ng reason ko. Tapos same with my Mom na pinagalitan rin ako.

Now I have another excuse of leaving this company talaga kasi dinaya ang pay slip ko ng pinagkakatiwalaan na assistant ng boss ko.

^they accepted it naman. I explained lang to them why it is so important to me. Oh well, 1 and half hours travel time difference matters to me. It is a big issue, not unless they are willing compensate that inconvenience. hahaha

tamo naman, I applied when they still have an office in makati tapos they transferred to QC. eh from makati lang ako. mabuti kung eastwood sha, eh hindi naman...onting kembot na lang eh nlex na! hahaha

aside from malayo... magastos din kasi sya sis, dagdag sa pang-gas and onti lang makakainan dito. :(

^Same reason here kasi naranasan ko rin yan kasi nung nag apply ako at bago sa kanila located in Makati sa part naman ng Bangkal which is malapit sa Pasay so 30 minutes lang byahe tapos yung pamasahe ko na 500 kaya na ng isang buwan for the transpo. But now nilipat si JP Rizal which is nalalayuan ako sabay traffic pa kaya magastos sa pamasahe.

;D Gusto ko nga itanong sa susunod na aapplyan ko if they are planning to relocate.

hindi ko naman natanong sis kung may balak mag-relocate tong new job ko hahhaa. pero if ever, baka I can also negotiate to them my concern. I tried to negotiate to them my concern. Hindi naman yun lumipat sila, aalis na ko agad. of course I want to stay longer sa companies na pinagworkan ko. I will not work with them kung di ko sila like in the first place. Kaso after ilang paguusap, wala na talaga. so i left. :)

Problema ko rin ito. I've started sending out resumes, so pinaghahandaan ko na ang isasagot ko sa tanong na ito come interview.

Paano ko ba sasabihin na masyado akong inaalila ng boss ko without giving off the vibe na hindi ako willing magtrabaho beyond my assigned workload? Salbahe rin kasi 'yung boss ko (as in major b!tchy, walang nagtatagal na staff sa kanya), e alangan sabihin ko sa prospective employer ko 'yun.

Pag pinaexpand pa (take note interior designer ako) I say that Although I love what I'm doing, I'd like to try other fields ofd esign as well since im ostly do residential. Ayun, okay na sila dun..

I think major no no ang pagsasabi ng negative no matter how f*cked up your previous job is.
