Hi Mommy bk!!

Ito po [textspeak!] list ko,.(na copy ko lang din from Amanda's list of Glam o'mamas.)

APPAREL

12 tie-sides (So practical for newborns! You don’t have to worry about pulling shirts over their frail little heads. With tie-sides, you can even dress them when they’re asleep.)
6 short-sleeved shirts (The ones that open from the front are best.)
4-6 pajama sets/frog suits (For air-conditioned places, these seem essential. Newborns are still adjusting to outside temperatures and like to feel snug and warm. Get the kind that let you open up around the nappy area so you can change baby’s diaper easily during those late-night/early-morning changes.)
4-6 receiving blankets
6 pairs mittens
4 caps
4-6 pairs socks

DIAPERS (Unless you’re going to use cloth diapers or “lampin” right away, you can defer cloth diapers for later. If using disposables, get the newborn size first pero wag maghoard ng madami since hiyangan din kasi ang diaper kay baby)

NURSERY LINEN
4-6 fitted sheets (For tropical countries like the Philippines, 300 thread count cotton is comfy. Change and wash linens every three days or so for hygiene reasons)
3 crib blankets (Get 100% cotton. Jersey or flannel are also nice and soft.)
2 crib bumpers (In the beginning, baby will appreciate sleeping in a snug place, like in your bed or in a cozy bassinet. So you might buy the bumpers gradually.)
2 pillows and 4 pillow cases
2 bolsters and cases

BATHING/GROOMING
2 hooded towels
4 wash cloths
sponge/mitt
bath tub
basin
dipper
bathing support net
nail cutter
rubber bath mat
organizer tray
3 canisters/jar sets (for your cotton buds, cotton balls, and other small essentials.

TOILETRIES
baby soap/liquid bath gel
baby shampoo
baby oil (For cleaning ears, when baby’s a bit bigger and ready for tub baths)
baby alcohol (For cleaning the stump from the umbilical cord. You’ll need a cotton swab for this.)
baby cologne
mosquito repellant
cotton balls
cotton ear buds
cotton nose buds (optional)
diaper rash ointment

APOTHECARY
digital thermometer
nasal aspirator

BREASTFEEDING
breast pump (optional)
nursing bra
nursing pads
nipple cream (A must for the first few weeks of breastfeeding)
breastfeeding pillow (optional)
breastfeeding canopy (optional)
storage bottles or bags

BOTTLEFEEDING (if you’re expressing breastmilk, or mixed feeding/formula feeding. Go with BPA-free bottles, if bottle-feeding. If you’re breastfeeding, you won’t use these right away. Still, it’s wise to have them on hand.)
6-8 4 oz. bottles
6-8 8 oz. bottles
bottle brush
nipple brush
sterilizing tongs
sterilizer
bottle rack
2 milk containers
(Instead of a bottle warmer – which costs you more on electricity – you can just do the old-fashioned heat up some hot water, put in a mug, and pop the baby bottle in til warm.)

NURSERY FURNITURE (optional if you co-sleep or bed-share, of course)
mattress
crib
chest of drawers
changing table (If you have space for a nursery, a chest of drawers that’s also a changing table is wise.)
baby monitor (optional, if you and baby sleep in separate quarters)
diaper pail (if you’re using cloth nappies.)
diaper stacker (optional)
clothes hamper (optional)
mosquito net

TRAVEL
diaper bag (Check out Glamomamas’s eco-diaper bag recos here)
changing pad
baby wipes (These don’t have to be pricey, but know if your baby’s skin responds well to certain brands. Go as natural as possible.)
insulated bottle keeper
carrier/bassinet
stroller
stroller pad(nice to have)

Complete na ko halos sa checklist ko yey! i think yung clothing dapat talaga ilang pcs lang since mabilis naman lumaki ang newborn. Most of the clothes i got them in size 3-6mos, tig 3pcs lang ata yung pang newborn musthaves Ko. Hehe... Nagpalaba na din ako ng ibang clothings hehe...

Question... san kaya nakakabili ng baby tub na may stand? TIA

^ I cloth diapered my first born when we got home from the hospital.  Babies tend to poop many times a day so sayang naman pag disposable, ang mahal.

Ako naman i used diaper. Kasi 10x a day ata ng poop ng newborn and i dont want laundry to pile up. Tapos damit din ang bilis mag palit because of spit ups etc. Mas mabilis magtapon ng diapers for me. Depende sayo i guess. But now toddler na baby ko and he poops 2x a day i dont mind using cloth diapers.

The Babybjorn is in my Amazon wishlist! Still thinking about it cause it's a bit pricey though it has raving reviews. What I like is that it has three angles and can still be used by toddlers, as seats nga lang.

I'd like to have bouncers para maka rest/nap si baby and my arms when we visit our parents house or go out of town. 😀

I've decided na kasi that the pack and play I'm getting is the basic one lang. Before kasi I wanted the one with the portable napper and changer but since hanggang ilang pounds lang, sayang lang.

Fionapple, i was gifted with 1 and it was not really that useful. I was able to use it ng mga till 4 months old pero not so much din kasi most of the time pag awake si baby we do tummy time or nasa crib siya. Hindi din siya nakakatulog dyan. I doubt if my son will stay put now that he is over 1. May high chair din ako so pag eating time doon siya sa high chair. He knows how to sleep on his own since 6 months old so i never really needed a rocker.

^thank you vain_kixie.:) i already have a Graco Pack n Play crib for my upcoming baby girl (31 weeks pregnant). since I will be working after my maternity leave, I can't help but wonder where my baby will sleep when she is with her yaya downstairs.

^thank you simang. halos complete na ang baby needs ko. di na ako pupunta sa baby fair. happy ako nauna ko na ginawa ang pagpunta sa baby fair (26 weeks). kasi maaga ko nang maaasikaso ang hospital bags namin. i have packed my own stuff, including toiletries. di ko pa tapos yung baby bag kasi need labhan lahat ng gamit niya. tapos last ko na gagawin yung sa husband ko.

i also bough pack n play kasi marami naman feedback sa akin personally and through research na sulit sya.
