Yung takot ko lang kasi sa swaddling blankets pwede matanggal. Got so paranoid first night we got home i did not sleep a wink watching over our baby. Takot din ako baka too tight swaddle nya specially sa legs. Di ko na tiis next day bought the Halo Swaddler na. Never looked back since that day. 😄

Meron din yung aden and anais na sleeping bags, so muslin fabric but ala halo sleep sack.

One year yung swaddler then i may get the sleep sack by Halo. Too paranoid lang i guess. 😄

We bought swaddlepods and thanking God we did haha! may a+a blankets din kami pero ang hirap din magbalot ng baby na ayaw maswaddle. kaya yung swaddlepod, zipper lang siya so madali siya ilagay at tanggalin din...napakasarap ng tulog niya since sobrang magugulatin.

Pinakasulit na binili namin sakanya, yung rocker niya saka ang co-sleeper bed since small baby siya, now at almost 3 months kasya pa siya sa first years na secure sleeper.

I also got the Halo Sleepsack Swaddle. Got it on an expo so medyo discounted. Super takot din ako sa SIDS kaya bumili talaga ako ng ganyan though mga 2 weeks ko lang siguro nagamit yung swaddle feature na nakapasok yung arms. Gusto ni baby laging kumawala. Since i gave birth last january, we got to use it until the end of february kasi malamig. For me sulit siya kasi at least nabawasan yung takot ko sa SIDS.
For new moms, stock up on cottons and diapers especially if you'll be using disposables. Sa 1st month talaga, minsan more than 10 diapers a day. After that naman, mas konti na especially kapag once a day na lang magpoop si baby.

Mga sis.. Safe ba gumamit ng baby powder? May nabasa ko kasi na hindi siya safe for the baby eh.. Hindi tuloy ako sure kung isasama ko siya sa list ng bibilhin ko.. Thanks

^ my pedia advised against using powder (and cologne, baby oil, etc), especially pag below one year old. Baka daw kasi maka-asthma or maka-allergy..

^ di ako familiar jan, sis. but i guess if sa pedia ko e ibabawal nya din. Basta sabi nya wag daw muna maglagay ng kung ano-ano sa balat ni baby.. exception lang yung cream na pinang-treat namin sa face rashes ni baby (baby acne?)..

mga mommies...anyone who used washable/cloth diaper during the first three months of your babies? any feedback? and one thing more...im planning to breastfeed but im not sure kung magkakaroon agad ako ng milk. so, i dont know kung bibili ba ako ng bottles or not. tia sa mga magreresponse.

And me milk ka na nyan pagkapanganak, hindi pa lang as in super lakas na tumutulo talaga or minsan hindi pa yan visible especially sa 1st few days kasi colostrum pa yun, very thick. And super liit lang ng tummy ni baby pa nyan, parang kalamansi pa lang. So pag pina-suck mo sa boobie, and me wiwi output si baby, then meron sya nakukuhang milk from you.

I gave birth in SLMC-QC and bawal ang bottles dun. And hindi rin ako bumili ng bottles kasi desidido talaga ako to breastfeed. I bought after a month na yata yun, nung malapit na ako mag-start magpump. And me nagbigay din ng iilang Avent bottles.

I have a manual breast pump ready para pag-engorge na yung breasts ko and tulog si baby i can relieve it tas store na lang ng milk sa ref.

Swaddle parang nakaformat na cia ippasok mo na lang si baby, whereas yung receiving blanket  itutupi tupi mo pa..

^^ i already bought breast pump before giving birth kasi naisip ko i'll be pretty busy once the baby arrives. And true enough, medyo madalang ako lumabas especially nung first two months, lalo pa at CS ako.

Though, it's not advisable to pump early, because it could lead to oversupply and worse, mastitis. Ideal time to start pumping is after 6 weeks, once ma-establish na ang milk supply. Ako, i started pumping a little over 5 weeks, kasi kinailangan dumalaw sa patay at ayoko dalhin si baby. So i pumped milk for her, while nasa lamay kami. Pero once or twice lang ako nagpump nun. Started pumping regularly (to build stash) nung after 6 weeks na.

I also bought a breast pump before giving birth. I never doubted kasi my ability to produce milk. Nagamit ko siya within a week agad to relieve yung engorgement kasi hindi ako marunong maghand express. Saglit lang naman then sumunod na mga 5 weeks postpartum. Feeling ko naman kasi that time established na yung milk supply ko.
