Sharing status for Coron from Ms. Rina of Coron wonders
The catastrophe of recent typhoon is still not over, but we wish to THANK YOU (friends, relatives, colleagues, previous guests, prospective guests, bloggers, silent readers etc..) for your support in spreading what is happening in Coron. In one way or another we were able to reach the media and concerned agencies to have attention on the needs of Coronians. Let us continue to help and pray for each other. Thank you so much sa pagpapakalat ng mga information at kalampagin ang media tungkol sa Coron. Marami pa po ang dapat gawin tungo sa pagbangon, but we will stay stronger together. For those who donated, we will ship out the goods hopefully tomorrow and those still on process for donation, you know where to drop/deposit it.
MGA UPDATE SA CORON:
SMART signal – meron na, majority ng celphone sa Coron ay Smart kaya pwede nyo na ma contact relatives, friends, enemies??? etc…kahit sino na hinahanap nyo. Pero hindi pa stabilize, pawala wala pa rin, tyaga lang.
GLOBE signal - KUDOS!!!, di ka dumapa kahit ng time ng typhoon. Ikaw lang ang nagsilbing mode of communication ng Coronians. Mga nagsamantala sa pagbenta ng TM/GLOBE sim sa P200-300 sobra kayo!!!!!! Maglilibot ang DTI bukas sana mahuli kayo, Price freeze for commodities ipinatupad with the presence of DTI officials
RELIEF Goods - may mga parating na. at sana ang C130 from Puerto Princesa makarating na rin bukas. Sa mga susunod na araw sunod sunod na ang dating ng mga relief goods galing kung saan saan….SALAMAT
BUSUANGA AIRPORT - open na, and road is already passable kahit sya nawarak.
CASUALTIES - not to worry anymore, mga sira sirang bahay, boats na mga nawarak, at lumubog, mga punong tumba, yan na lamang po...
INTERNATIONAL SUPPORT – may mga taga UN na nasa Coron, w/c assist the municipality on the needs of Coronians
FUEL/CRUDE - kulang pa rin pero ginagawan na ng paraan sa NAPOCOR
POTABLE WATER – may inilagay na na FREE Water Refilling Station sa Coliseum in addition to the water station na nabibili sa Aquabest. Mga taga Aquabest, medyo bawas na overtime nyo mula sa 12:00midnight, baka 8:00PM na lang…pwede na kayo makahingi ng onti...
ELECTRICITY - bagsak pa rin, at mukhang matatagalan ng at most 2months ang restoration sa lahat ng baranggay ayon sa BISELCO but they are doing their best to facilitate its restoration. Sanay naman na ang Coronians na laging brown out ang Coron. Di na bago sa atin yan.
FOR INCOMING TOURISTS/GUESTS – expect that hotel/lodging/accommodations have no air conditioning, if there is, this might be for short period of time only until fuel supply stabilize in Coron town. Anyway Coron is an ISLAND, take this as an opportunity to feel the provincial and island atmosphere of the place, kasama yan sa experience nyo in exploring a certain place… tsaka na kayo mag-Aircon pagbalik nyo ng Manila or where you came from….
TOURIST SPOTS – in few days this will be ok. Tourism players had meeting today to resume the operation of nearby sites in two weeks time
TO CORONIANS - lets have some paradigm shift, DO NOT WAIT, we need to move ON, let's help each other. Little things you can do like cleaning, pulutin, ayusin ang mga nasirang bangka, itayo ang pwede pang itayong parte ng bahay na pwede pang pakinabangan, tumulong sa mga puno na nabuwal, at iba pa. Wag mag-ubos ng oras sa inuman at tsismisan or daldalan, magsikilos na po tayo kasi malapit na ang PASKO para hindi NGANGA. Higit sa lahat kailangan nyo kumita...di kayo pwede pakainin ng government forever.... mas marami ang highly affected na lumuluha pa sa mga oras na ito.....
