Please share your DIY Wedding Invitations

Hi mga sis! Pashare naman ako ng pics ng  mga diy niyo na wedding invitation. I don't want to buy them since itatapon lang naman yan ng guest after. Thanks!

^Korek sis, mas nakakaproud na kayo mismo ang gumawa ng invites. On our part, napakaraming contribution ni H2B sa DIY invites namin. Actually, the whole concept, sa kanya talaga. Ako lang ang tagacomment at most especially tagaglue ng mga kung ano hehe. I'll post na lang pag nafinalize namin.

indeed, it's gratifying pag lahat labor of love.

nasa planning stage pa lang ang invites namin.  i want to make it as personalized as possible since ipprint din naman isa isa, why not place the guests name na din dba?  but i want the wordings to reflect our personality.  will post pag may kaliwanagan na ang design.

pero.. after namin matapos lahat, na-realize namin kung bakit mahal magpagawa.. hirap mag cut e. haha. lalo na kapag madaming sheets.

but otherwise, it's gratifying when your guests tell you it looks professionally made.

nasa printing at cutting stage na ko ng DIY invites namin, 12 na ang na-cut ko. in fairness mabilis ko natapos kahit paisa-isa lang ang pag-cut, need to print more and then saka ko palang magagawa yung envelopes at wax seal para hindi paputol-putol ang gawa. will post photos soon.

sheymanila - ang ganda na nung prototype na pocketfold. nice nice! di na ako makagawa ng mga DIY ngayon.. busy na kasi 52 days nalang! haha. saka wait ko pa ulit yung nanay ko kasi yung next project ko mag-involved na tahi-tahi e.

^thanks, sis. kame less than 50 days na lang! hindi ko na lang iniisip kung ilang days na lang para di ako mamadali baka magkamali pa sa pag-cut. pinakamahirap sa gagawin namin yung sa envelope at seal. bawal talaga magkamali kundi sayang sa materials at time.

Post ko pa rin ba dito Kahit half DIY Lang invites namin? Haha! Kami kasi nagconceptualize and gumawa sa photoshop (with the help of our talented ento) tapos pinaprint namin sa printing supplier.

^oo post mo lang! haha. yung sa amin, pinaprint namin yung mga loose sheets/insets kasi di kaya ng home printer yung 250GSM na papel.. importante naman yung layout na kayo gumawa.

how long did it take you to make your DIY's?

mas makakatipid ba ko sa pag DIY or almost same lang mas rewarding lang because of the hard work you put in?

siya nga pala may mga sis na ba tayo dito na nakapag try mag "stain" ng board type paper? gusto ko sana itry to kung mag di-DIY ako ng invites namin. para vintage ang style ng paper.

OT: sa mga bouquets ninyo, saan kayo bumili ng mga flowers? and nung mga embellishments?

we had absolutely no artistic bone nor inclination in our bodies, but we also decided to DIY the invites.  once we got the hang of it, each invite took less than a minute to make.

we didn't have an entourage listing insert.  when the guests receive the invite, we figured it would not have made sense at that point for them to see that.  but we made sure that on the wedding day, we distributed entourage cards that also doubled as fans.  the card also had the relation of the person to either me or my husband (ie, Jane Doe |  Bridesmaid  |  Cousin of the Bride).

no inserts for hotel information, map, RSVP, or registry either.  everything was on our website.  saved on paper, time, money, and designing-headaches.

DIY layout lang yan, tapos printed by Wingdingz. Yung nasa picture na may rings & ribbon eh pamamanhikan invites naman, sinama lang sa pic. 

Text-heavy yung ginawa ko since baka magmukhang too girly, tsaka nangangapa lang ako sa Photoshop eh.

For the map & reception + after-party details, naghanap lang ako sa Google ng map namin, inedit ko tapos pinrint lang + cut sa bahay c/o my sisters.
