US TV: Arrow

Arrow is a modern retelling of the DC Comic character Green Arrow. Multi-Millionaire playboy Oliver Queen is missing, and presumed dead after a shipwreck at sea. He is found five years later, having survived on a desert island off his wits and by mastering the bow and arrow. When he returns to Starling City however, he discovers that it is rife with corruption and crime. Oliver decides to put his skills to use by taking on the persona of Arrow and becoming the vigilante that Starling City needs.

The show stars Stephen Amell in the title role.

Green Arrow has be portrayed 2 times by a real life actor, and voiced in 12 separate cartoon/animations starting in 1973.

I've watched 3 episodes already and so far I'm liking this series alot.

I think the 3rd episode sealed it for me. Very entertaining! And the Oliver character is growing more and more likeable. I do enjoy the action scenes.

Arrow is the 2nd best performing show this season, following Revolution. Its ratings is still pretty low compared to other shows, but it meets its target audience well. So, patok!

Yayy! Count me in. I was sold first ep pa lang. There's something about the way Stephen Amell carries himself that makes the character so mysterious and charming. What is it about archers that make them so damn appealing, huh? Hehe.

Awww, I love the BFF relationship between Oliver and Tommy. He's his Lex Luthor towards the end but for now I am enjoying their friendship. Laurel isn't bad either. And that's saying a lot since I don't like Katie Cassidy's previous TV roles. Hehe!

Yup. Tommy's alter-ego in the comics, Merlyn, is an enemy of Green Arrow. But since this is a modern adaptation me thinks the rivalry won't surface until later in the series.

Oliver Queen = eye candy. i also like the interaction between him and his bodyguard Diggle.

Mabuti na rin yun that there's at least one who knows about his secret identity. Now Diggle can conveniently make excuses for him if he disappears all of a sudden.

Di ako nababagayan sa tandem na Oliver at Laurel.  Mas bet ko si Oliver at Sarah, yung namatay na sister ni Laurel -- Sayang!

Oliver's mom is keeping the wrecked family yacht in a warehouse -- talk about cover up?!  Ano kaya ang gagawin ni Oliver pag nalaman niya na his mom is also part of the group of people whom he plans to bring down?  All the while, akala ko yung stepfather niya ang kontrabida, hindi pala.

Haha. Ako naman I like Laurel more than Sarah. Masyadong slutty yung sister eh, hindi ko makuhang seryosohin. Parang laging nang-aakit yung aura.
