Hi sisses, do you think a 6-hour (max 8) stay in Lucerne is enough to do a walking tour? Wala naman ako plans to do climbs or the boat ride. Balak ko kasi magbalikan from Strasbourg. :)

Yes 6hrs is enough for me. We did a daytour din sa Lucerne. Malalapit lang naman yung mga tourist site, naglakad lang kami at maliit lang naman ang city

maliit lang ang Lucerne, sakto lang yun 6hrs. closed ata ang shops during weekends, tapos 6pm closed na din major shops.

we did Mt. Rigi and Mt. Titlis, super sulit! :)

Thanks, sisses. Although, I've decided to stay overnight na and get a TELL PASS(?). Will do Mt. Rigi na din, sana maganda ang araw that time.

Would you know what the temp is in mid-June? 17deg daw kasi ang average. I really don't know how to prepare for this 2-week trip.

3 nights/4 days in Interlaken, is this too much? Di ba kami mabo-bore after a while? This is our home base to go to the Jungfrau. Not interested in visiting our cities in Switzerland muna for now kasi we will be coming from other countries as well. Jungfrau lang talaga sadya namin.

we just came back from switzerland last week, we stayed for 5 days pero nabitin ako. hehe di rin kami dumaan sa zurich, lucern, or any city. purely swiss alps ang goal.

naging base namin is zermatt and lauterbrunnen. if i have to do it again, ang magiging base ko ay zermatt pa din and grindelwald.

if jungfrau is the target, mas ok magstay sa lauterbrunnen. 1hr trip nalang compared sa 2hrs pag interlaken ost galing. less expensive ng konti.

btw, we stayed in a mobile home, backdrop si jungfrau. kita mo agad kung cloudy :)

wow, thank you sis! I will research on this. We will be coming from Munich and ang nakita ko lang kasi na direct train is to Interlaken. But I will definitely check your recommendation. How was the weather this time of the year? We're going end of May. So mag-layer na lang 'no? Mainit na kasi sa ibang places na pupuntahan namin so I thought I'd just bring one jacket and mag-layer na lang.

i see. ok din naman na base ang interlaken kasi andun si lake brienz. and harder kulm.  not on our list though.

early june kami nagpunta. weather is transitioning i think from spring to summer. definitely cold sa gabi at umaga, pero mainit sa tanghali. and cloudy sya.

kung aakyat ng jungfrau, definitely winter jacket. snow all year round.
pero kung other area, any slim jacket is enough. and tama ka, layers ok na.

we originally planned to visit jungfrau too pero too cloudy, sayang ang 200chf paakyat kung wala naman makikita. hehe that's why nag improvise kami ng plan. yan yung reason bakit magandang base ang lauterbrunnen or grindelwald. madali magdecide kasi andun na yung mga trains ang cable cars going to other places.

i will blog about this, inform kita pag ready na :D

I only visited Zurich from Frankfurt then Zurich to Tirano, Italy. Nothing much to see in Zurich, they have old towns and lake then thats it. Did not go to alps also.

was in switzerland last june. we stayed in zurich and did trips to jungfrau and rhine falls. super breath taking ang switzerland! picture perfect lahat! bumalik yung memories ko watching 90s cartoons sila heidi at tom sawyer. parang napuntahan ko na rin hometown nila. haha. but seriously, switzerland might be my favorite european country so far. would suggest doing trips to jungfrau and rhine falls. super worth it. :)

Hi, everyone! I?d appreciate  your inputs here.

My husband will attend a conference in Geneva next month & he?s taking me with him (crossing my fingers for my Schengen visa).  It?ll be my first time in Europe (hubby?s second), that?s why I?m soooo excited!

1. For a day trip from Geneva, which would you recommend  (considering the weather in mid-June): Chamonix (Mont Blanc), Zermatt (Matterhorn) OR Jungfraujoch?  I want us to experience some Alpine feels  without the skiing, of course.

2. Geneva to Venice: train OR plane? 1 OR 2  nights (including Murano &/or Burano)?

Thanks!

^we went summer in Zermatt and Zurich, agree sa super breath taking at picture perfect kahit saan. Minsan di kana makakapag picture kase maamaze ka talaga. So far sis wala kame masyadong nakitang nalalantang flowers at grass, ang linis nya talaga, maybe because of the people na din at disiplinado sila. Even the train stations at just by sitting down the train para kana din nag tour. Going up Zermatt may mga waterfalls sa gilid and yung river is talagang clean.

^Nope sis, my sons are 6 and 2 and mas naappreciate ko ang Zermatt kase they can run sa streets tho may electric vehicles pero not too crowded naman then we went up to Sunnega, na isang malaking playground with view of Matterhorn then there's a lake. We did not stay long sa Zurich but I think the place is child-friendly din.
