Same with other sisses here who availed of east west cc's balance transfer, sulit for me when availed their balance transfer promo with the lowest rate as compare with other banks such as standard chartered and metrobank. Though i haven't use east west cc for regular purchases. So far, okay naman their customer service whenever i call them.

😊😊

mga sis, nung dumating yung cc wala kasi nakaindicate sa kasamang doc na guaranteed waived annual fee when I meet their condition (which I think is to have a 5k spend within 3 months). sa mga nakaavail nitong promo, how were you notified na waived na forever?

Yung hubby ko pasok dito with his Gold MC pero ang sabi sa hotline, around March 2016 pa ma-tag na free for life yung mga new cardholders sa system nila. so wait muna until then tas tawag na lang to confirm

Hi mga sis,
sana pa.advise what card is best to get..I've been harassed by multiple banks sa CP ko.. as in calling talaga. About pre.approved credit cards and they just need my address and to give them my "yes". Kinda worried though na I know the usual process is application .. pero I'm getting calls from MNL phone numbers not really asking for my info..they already have my info na.. they just want my "yes" and they will ship it right then and there. I didnt commit yet because AYAWWW ko talaga magbayad ng annual fee -__-

Got calls from BPI, BDO, CHINABANK, UNIONBANK, CITIBANK and other companies na di ko kilala. I'm scared na my financial information is scattered and shared without my knowledge. Should I be worried?

And if I shouldn't, which one should I take?
I used to have a credit card before..Citibank Rustans (shop there a lot :D ) no missed payments, no late payments and I always pay in full kung ano ang due. I'm allergic to interest. haha. Cancelled it because ayaw nila magwaive (after 5 years of me insisting waiving lol)

I also want a CC because I'm tired of being stressed carrying money around and it's difficult to track my purchases :/ My usual purchases are mall related, beauty and food. Wala na iba..suggestions? :)

Sis abangan mo ulit promo ni bpi sa waived annual fee for life. Any type of card basta new applicant ka. Less hassle sa annual fee.

^ i applied for a Security Bank CC sa booth nila sa may SM Hypermarket. Tapos may tumwag na they're from multi-cc company, iforward tdaw application ko sa RCBC, CB, EW, etc. AJust the other day I received a call from BPI vineverify lang, unfortunately, si hubby nakasagot since sa bahay kami tinawagan, eh ayaw nun ng cc so sinabi na hindi naman raw ako nag apply lol. SAYANG!

just now I received a text from BPI na nagsosrry kasi delayed raw ang processing ng credit card ko. Im not hoping anymore though. Sayang kung totoo nga yung promo na waived annual fee for life looks like I missed out on that.

Hay kainis lang.gamit na gamit ko kasi ang installment schemes ng bdo card sa sm malls (when you reach 5k worth). Pwede pa rin kaya  kahit bpi cc pero may bdo rewards? And sa shops like Sanuk and Aldo, qualified for installments bdo ko. Sana pwede din si bpi. Can our bpi sisses confirm? :D

I used to have 7 credit cards. Haha! (I know, crazy) 2 metrobanks, 1 security bank, 1 eastwest, 1 bpi, 1 hsbc and i forgot the other one. Masakit sa ulo. I paid everything before going abroad. Tapos dito, i'm only maintaining 1 card na lang. Hassle free.

^I have 8 cards. (7 mine + 1 extension) but I only use 2. One for my groceries, etc. 1 for my online shop. I also don't use my cards for installments. Like my Metrobank, 3 yrs ko na hindi ginagamit. I already told them to cut my card kasi sinisingil ako ng annual fee. Pero ayaw nila eh. hehe.

For me the credit card promos are quite effective.  They pretty much dictate which card I will use for each purchase I make.  Like, for a given transaction I ask myself:  do I want a free bucket of Chickenjoy or SM GC's or free coffee, etc.

Yeah, I know it sounds shallow, but they're freebies which are there for the taking.  The promos don't make me buy something I don't want. They only make me choose which card to use for something I was already going to buy anyway.

When I was single, I have 4 cards: 1 metrobank (femme), 1 bpi (blue), 1 hsbc (gold), 1 citi (rewards). Hindi ko masyado nagagamit yung city kaya pina-cancel ko. Gamit na gamit yung 3 cards ko, and nawalan ako ng control sa purchases ko. Hanggang sa yung payments ko every month can only cover the finance charge. Di ko na mafull payment. Puro revolving.

Before I got married, my finances was one of the items that my then-fiance had to discuss and sort out. He was more practical, and I think wiser, on the financial aspect. He got mad at first at me, because of my irresponsible spendings. He doesn't have any debt at that time, the only thing he's paying is his car loan. He forced me to pay all my credit card debts before we pushed through the wedding. So all of my bonuses were alloted to the payment, even portion of my semi-monthly salary. I took me a year to clear all of my loans and debts. At that time, ang sama ng loob ko kasi feeling ko deprived ako pag hindi ko nabibili ang gusto ko. Pero now, looking back, I am very thankful that my husband forced me to pay all of my debts kasi masarap pala ang debt-free.

Now, I'm older and wiser. I still use my cards for groceries and other purchases. But my husband and I agreed that it would only because of the "points". We pay the outstanding balance immediately, even before the cut-off.

Sorry for the long post! Bottomline, credit cards are easy money. However, if not properly managed, credit cards are the worst source of funds. So be financially wise, and do not spend beyond your means. Spend wisely! :)

Agree sis Barbillie :)

nabanggit ko before na nag apply ako for AMEX card, hindi ko na alam nangyari sa application ko, wala na update. Anyways, nag try lang ako mag apply sa citibank, ayun na approve naman, 55k ang limit. lol. then my skymiles bpi credit card bigla na lang nag increase ng limit, di naman ako nag aapply. from 40 - 52k na. convenient din for me na mababa lang ang limit ng credit cards ko, atleast, ma max ko man, im sure I can pay it in full. and also, alternate ko sila ginagamit. I make sure na wala ako balance sa bpi or citi bago gumamit ng cards. mahirap na baka matabunan ako eh, 100k na ang balance nila pag pinagsama. so pag 0 bal na ko sa bpi, saka ko lang ginagamit citi ko. same with citi. :)

I have 1 credit card. The other 1 supplementary lang kay husband. Minsan nasasagad namin up to 80k yung bill.

I actively use my BPI so not sure how to have the annual fee waived. I just use my points since di ko naman na reach yung target items ko.
