Hi! I requested for a VISA Amore card ng BPI, I already have their Skymiles Mastercard, ito reply saken:

We understand that you wish to request for an Amore Visa Card. Please be
informed that we may request one to be linked to your existing card. Please
note, however, that your link card will share the same credit limit with
your existing card but will have a separate annual membership fee. Kindly
inform us if you wish to proceed with this request so that we could file it
accordingly.

So sis, 2 cards ko pero, same credit limit lang sila? tama ba? like kung 50k and limit ni Skymiles, 50K din limit ni Amore? or sa 50K na limit ni Skymiles, bale tig 25K na lang ba sila?

thanks sa pag enligthen.

Linked limit means they share the same limit. If you charge 10k in any of them, you have 40k remaining limit for any of them.
Parang supplementary except you have both cards.

Thanks si j.adore!

^yes sis.

Someone from HSBC called earlier offering me of their Gold Visa, may free na American Tourister luggage worth 3900 daw if you purchase worth 2k using the card, pero if you cancelled the card within 18 months, sisingilin yun 3900. Not bad since the annual fee daw is 2500. So if ever 2500 mo lang binili yun bag tapos may new credit card pa. Hahaha..

I'd take on that offer! haha you can always have your annual fee waived. And mataas daw magbigay ang HSBC ng credit limit, tama ba? And to think gold ang ino-offer sayo.

Hay how I wish I have all these credit cards. I have been a credit cardholder for 3 years na pero supplementary. I only got my own cards on the 3rd quarter last year. Super liit ng limit nakakatawa lang. Kaya I am still using that supplementary card kasi malaki ang limit namin doon. Pero I am building up my credit rating. In my supplementary card, I never had to pay a dime on finance charges and interest rates. So I'm doing the same on my own cards. I always pay in full and on time. I badly need more cards :) yes I am addicted to credit cards and I know it's bad but I have grown too dependent on them now.

For me, BPI has the best credit card. Almost always may promo na nare-redeem na food (except for some months). The ever trusty balance transfer and credit to cash, and most of all, yung Buy Now Pay Later promo na may separate credit limit (usually twice your regular credit limit). Gusto ko talaga magkaron ng BPI.

^yep sis. Hopefully it will be approved, subject to approval pa rin naman daw kasi yun offer.

TIA!

^as long as kasya pa sa credit limit mo sis pwede. Wala namang charge yun basta bayaran mo lang lagi in full and on time ang nagdu-due. don't make a habit of paying just the minimum kasi nagkaka charge din doon.

So for example. Credit limit mo: 30k. Let's say cut off mo is every 15th of the month.

Bumili ka ng appliance worth 25k on installment basis for 6 months at 0% interest. So magiging monthly amortization mo 5k per month. Binili mo to bago ang cut off mo. Let's say, 5th of the month.

Since 25k lang ang nagamit mo, meron ka pang 5k to use on other things. Let's assume nag grocery ka 5k. Before the cut off date din, sabihin natin 10th of that month. So wala ng natirang credit limit. Hindi mo na pwedeng gamitin ang card for now.

On the 15th, nag cut off na ang card mo. And since before the cut off mo binili yung appliance, mag du-due na agad ang first month amortization nun. Pati yung grocery na 5k. So ang bill mo, yung first month na 5k at yung grocery na 5k. Which will be due at around 20 days after the cut off date.

So pwede ka ng gumamit ulit ng 10k. Kung wala ka namang paggagamitan, okay. So dumating ang next cut off mo na wala kang pinag gamitan. this month, mag du-due yung 2nd month amortization mo. So 5k. Pag nabayaran mo yun on the due date, ibabalik yung 5k sa credit limit mo. And since di mo naman ginamit last month, 15k na limit mo. and so on..

So as long as nagbabayad ka in full and on time, walang charges yun from the bank.

I'm thinking of having my BPI skymiles cancelled na. I also have a visa amore free for life annual fee sharing the same credit limit. I want to replace with a card that earns MABUHAY miles instead. I've no use for my skymiles except when we are in the US to redeem delta award tickets.

Yes! Finally! I got approved sa BPI. Though sobrang liit ng limit hahaha heavy user pa naman ako and kulang na kulang sa akin to. Okay lang, tataas naman to eventually. Ang importante may BPI na ko. I just received the card today. And when I called to inquire, sadly, wala pa syang madness limit so I cannot use it for installments on big purchases. :D
