We're on the way to baguio right now. Grabe ang traffic sa Pangasinan! Umalis kami sa victory terminal in cubao ng 12.30 and until now nasa byahe pa din kami. Halos kakaalis lang from stop over sa la union. Haay


We arrived in baguio ng around 9pm. Good thing nagtext ang hotel45 ext kahapon ng morning asking if confirmed ang reservation namin. Confusing lang sila kase the last time I sent them a text message asking re: our reservation, they replied na fully booked na daw. Anyway, okay naman dito sa hotel45 ext. Maganda yung room nila, malinis and mukang bago pa and syempre, affordable.

came back from Baguio. we went there yesterday and traffic was heavy going to camp john hay. yun pala there was a parade as it was the opening salvo of panagbenga. we stayed at le monet hotel inside camp john hay. for a change naman since we're always staying at the manor every time we're in Baguio. nice to know the valet attendant still remembered us. weather's still cool. 22 degrees by the time we arrived. 15 degrees came dinner time. lots of people were eating strawberry ice cream though the weather was biting cold.

iyhan18 , i doubt that you can manage your itinerary especially kung tumapat kayo sa Panagbenga week or the final week of February ( Session Road in Bloom). traffic galore. anyhow, you may want to check out  Ketchup and Chef's Home  ( kaso matagal ang service ) for the food trip.

im here now in baguio with my hubby. we checked in at la brea.. tnx sa mga post dito malaking tulong talaga since first time namin dito. hehe.. hindi na ganun kaginaw..

Just came back from Baguio. Yup di na masyado malamig. Mainit nga sa tanghali at hapon. We have to use the aircon in our room. Stayed at City Center Hotel along session road. New rooms, comfy bed, and clean bathroom. With plated breakfast & coffee. Highly recommended! 

Cafe by the Ruins - same good food but very slow service.
Alfoncito's - great pasta! Try their pesto and the refreshing cucumber juice. Will definitely go back when in Baguio. Though they change the menu every 2 weeks.
50's diner - so-so
Vizco's - super yummy Strawberry shortcake and mango cake

Tips for buying pasalubong:
Good Sheperd - limited to 2 bottles of ube per person. Blockbuster pa rin ang pila so come very early. they open at 8am til 5pm. We arrived before 8am ng monday morning may pila na. Di na ganun ka smooth yung ube jam but still masarap. 

We did an ocular visit to the market on a Sunday. Strawberries are at 250-300/kl. we bought pasalubong on monday before we leave, and they were at 160-200/kl. natawaran namin ng 150/kl nalang. Yung good shepherd ube sa palengke double the price 300-350/bottle. 150 each lang kasi sa mismong good shepherd.

^sis yung nabili ko strawberry 120 lang per kilo. sa may session rd near cafe. fresh and matatamis.. mas mahal yata sa market?

Wala kasi kami napansin na strawberries along session road. Actually my friend bought strawberries sa labas ng cafe by the ruins when we had our breakfast on saturday am 150/kl din. Thats the day we arrived. Buti you were able to get it at 120. Mahal ata pag weekends dahil mataas ang demand.

When you guys buy strawberries sa sidewalk vendors, sabihan nyo sila ipapakilo nyo sa public market at babalikan sila pag kulang. Lalo na yung may weighing scale na maliit na bilog lang. Yung 1 kg, wala pa usually 3/4 kg.

Prices ng strawberries change depending sa dami ng turista. Ngayong Feb, swerte na may 120-160.

Oh. Wag masyado magbonnet ng I love Baguio para di mukhang turista, para di nila itaas ang presyo.

nasa byahe din kami same as you sis.  sctex pa lang traffic na, as in di mo pa natatanaw yung toll gate.  tapos pagdating sa pangasinan, wow traffic ulit.  we left home in QC around 6am. stop over at nlex for bfast, then left at around 7:45am. we arrived in baguio by 7pm. nasayang ang 1st day.

not so ok yung house na pinag-stay-an namin.  nagkaron kasi ng confusion kung kausap ko.  nagpa-reserve ako ng house with downpayment pero ibang house na tuloy ang nabigay nya sakin. will blog about it soon to warn you guys.

Mga sis, I have been to Baguio several times, pero di pa ako masyadong nakakaglibot. We plan to go this May 2014. Nakita ko yung list nun isang sis natin about the places to go:

My question is, given eto yung mga gusto naming puntahan, do we need to hire a van/fx for transportation? yung tipong pakyawan ang rate at hindi i-memetro? meron bang ganitong service sa Baguio? 5 adults kasi kami,may 1 senior citizen, tapos 1 kid

For night out, we were supposed to go to Turf kaso close. Sayang, looks nice and elegant pa naman yung  ambiance nya. Nauwi kami sa Concoctions beside Rose Bowl. Chill lang at magaling yung band nila dun lalo na yung girl vocalist. Then the following night. We tried yung Purple lounge. Ok naman, club sya 50/pax entrance at mura ang vip table as low as 1,000. Cocktails at 150 & up.

^^ I'd suggest hiring a transpo service (van or fx taxi) to get around kasi me kasama senior tsaka kid. Kahit for one day lang, pagsamahin nyo yung mga malalayo, like strawberry farm, bell church, tam-awan, etc. Yung mga nasa sentro lang, like Burnham, Cathedral, public market, etc, pwedeng commute or lakad-lakad na lang. Try nyo na din isingit yung iba, like John Hay, Good Shepherd, etc dun sa day na me transpo service kayo para mas konti ang commute and sulit ang bayad sa transpo service.

Me mga fx taxi na pumapayag sa pakyawan, mag-agree lang kayo sa mga pupuntahan. Dati, me nakilala kami van owner sa may Lourdes Grotto na nag-offer ng private tour. So siya kinuha namin ni hubby (bf pa nun), sinabi lang namin ano mga gusto puntahan, and nag-suggest din sya other spots na along the way. Succeeding trips with friends e sya na kontak ko. But lately nagdadala na kami ng sasakyan pag nagba-Baguio, whether with friends or family or kahit kami lang ni hubby..

Hi mga Sis! May alam po ba kayo na transient house na available pa this coming Feb. 21-25? Yung good for two? Thanks
