December 27-30, 2012

Day 1

5:30am – 1:30pm Morning trip via Dagupan Air conditioned Bus (We were supposed to take Victory Liner but didn’t have an early ticket reservation and it was crowded that day)

Upon arrival at De Vera homes, we rested for a little before starting exploring the city. De Vera homes is a very nice place to stay in. It’s in Justice Village along Marcos Highway just before the town proper.

The day went as follows:

Late lunch at Cafe by the Ruins
Afternoon walk in Burnham Park
SM Baguio (yes! haha!)
Dinner at Zola
Day 2

Tam-awan Village
Lunch at Rose Bowl
Camp John Hay (Cemetery of Negativism, Bell House, Ampitheater, History Trail) We were not able to try the Tree Top Adventure as there was a lot of people on queue.
Late afternoon to early night at Starbucks (This is a really nice place at CJH)
Dinner at home (pizza and soda)
Day 3

Strawberry farm
Lunch at Forest House Bistro
Mines View Park
Wright Park
The Mansion
Botanical Garden
Dinner at Volante
Day 4

Brunch at Ebai’s cafe
11:40am – 6:30pm trip back home via Victory Liner. We had our tickets reserved two days prior.

These past few days po ba nag-uulan sa Baguio? We're planning to go there kasi and we have 2 kids with us. To all Gtalkers in Baguio, good idea po kaya tumuloy pa-Baguio on January 5-7? TIA

we went here last Jan 3-5  :-*

we stayed at The Manor. disappointed lang ako kapag 12 noon sa kanila. usually check-out at check-in ang drama ng mga guests pag ganun time. And they have few staffs lang kasi yung iba naka-break. :( we arrived around 1pm and waited for 2hrs para maging available ang room. To the fact na nung tumawag kami before 12noon, sinabi na ng front desk na nililinis na yung room. So it means 3hrs na nililinis yung room.  >:( Sana sinabi na lang nila ang totoo na may naka-check-in para di kami tumunganga sa lobby.  :P

anyway, yung father ko deadma sa katabi niya. Di niya alam na celebrity actress pala yun. haha... :o and we passed by Chef Lau and his son at Mile High Diner that evening. :)

We visited Bell House, Amphitheatre, Secret Garden, Butterfly Garden and downtown. 8)

oh, I have a funny experience last Friday night. our accommodation was on 4th floor west wing garden view. While working with my laptop at the balcony, yung katapat na balcony namin sa east wing, nag-turn on ng lights. then may lumabas na group of people to take pictures sa balcony rin. Anyway, I went outside to get a drinking water and socks kasi sobrang lamig. I saw a white dress sa may bedroom window. I thought namamalik-mata talaga ako so pinabayaan ko lang. Due to curiosity, tinitigan ko talaga  ;D at wala akong nakitang ulo at kamay to the fact na 20/20 vision pa ako. Pilit kong inaaalala yung story ng isang nag-post dito about spirit. It was late already around past 10pm na so maya't maya sinusulyapan ko baka sakaling gumalaw. ;D

oopps...mahaba na. :-[

went to Baguio Jan 3-6.

took victory liner de luxe - super comfortable, very spacious, bucket seats that recline.

stayed at hotel 45 - super happy! super sulit sya for the amount we paid! we got pa a corner room so it's very spacious!

we ate at different places pero the best yun pizza volante. ok din sa carlos' pizza at mile hi. ok yun strawberry shortcake and blueberry cheesecake sa vizco's. OCha was a big disappointment. good taste super dami tao so medyo matagal ang pagdating ng food pero ok nga yun Buttered Chicken nila.

we were there Jan. 2-4 (celebrated my bday there ^_^)

took Genesis aircon (supposed to be Joybus but we weren't able to reserve tickets)
5hrs lang byahe.. :)

we stayed at La Brea Inn.. 1512/night 4pax.. galing nga e, regular rate na yung bayad kahit Jan. 2 o baka pa.bday ni manong saken yun..hihi

manong gave us a pa a brochure ng mga places to visit and how to get there na sobrang helful talaga kasi imbes na magtaxi kami lagi, nagjijeep nalang.. though, sobrang mura talaga ng taxi dun ah.. at ambabait ng mga drivers.. walang mintis pag bababa kami palaging may paalala na mag.ingat sa mga pickpockets.. pero hanga talaga ko sa kanila pagdating sa pagsusukli, kahit piso nalang ibibigay pa nila.. bow ako sa inyo!  8)

we'll definitely go back there.. ipon ipon muna ulet..hehe ;D

Hi Sisses! I will be in Baguio on jan 19-20, we will be staying in La Brea Inn, reserved Deluxe room. My concern is ilan oras ba ang byahe ng deluxe at ang regular aircon? im still choosing between Victory liner and Joy bus, though medyo mahal nga sa Victory. Im thinking kasi if midnight kmi aalis, if deluxe baka early morning kmi dumating. kawawa naman, we have a 5 yo kid na kasama kasi. then pauwi, we really intend to have deluxe bus ride, midnight kasi plan namin umalis, then may pasok pa ng monday. i cant find the website ng joybus, i have to check their schedules pa.

We chose La Brea Inn para accessible sa food and transpo. ska most of the time naman, nasa labas kami so okay lang khit hindi super ganda na hotel.

^Hi sis.  We stayed at La Brea din last Oct 2012.  We took the Joybus  Cubao station at Midnight.  5 hrs lang byahe.  Kasama ko 6 yr old son ko. Tulog the whole trip.  Very comfy ang chairs (parang lazyboy). We decided to eat breakfast muna and palipas oras narin.  Ang una namin nakita Dokito, kaya dun kami. Ang dami pala other fastfood like Jollibee, Mcdo and KFC if naglakad pa kami ng konti.  Anyways, after breakfast, around 7am, we walked to La Brea Inn.  Lapit lang. 10 minutes.  My son enjoyed the morning breeze.  La Brea accomodated us early check-in with no additional charge.  Maybe because it was not peak season.  Pag peak season, they charge P500 ata.

We again took Joybus going back Manila at 3pm.

Check website of Genesis Transport for Joybus.
