I also agree that it's not good to generalize the entire bank brand but of you are uncomfortable with the branch you're delaing with, then it's time to change banks. Our accounts are all with BDO too and while things haven't been perfect for the past 7 years, mostly good naman and all the employees are courteous to us including the bank manager who personally talks to us and attends to us whenever he sees us in the branch. But I completely agree that not all employees or branches are like that. It's just sad that the manager in that branch couldn't discipline their employees properly. If I were in JG_1106's situation, hinde ko talaga mapapalampas yon. It's disappointing how a few rotten tomatoes can ruin an entire basket.

Normally you should be able to deposit a check into a savings or checking account. That's for any bank, not just BDO.

But recently, I've learned that in BDO there are payroll accounts don't allow checks to be deposited.

I hope yours does not belong to the exception.

Also to add to freelancer's answer.
You won't be able to deposit checks if you haven't
completed all of the requirements.

Our joint account is on that "state"
Only I had pictures at that time and my wife's pictures
were supposed to be submitted the next day but
life happened so checks are still restricted.

Sis, sa BDO Online Login and BDO Mobile App, talagang nagpapa dala sila ng OTP (One Time Password) everytime mag log in ka? Sobrang secure ng feature ng apps and website nila pero atleast, alam mong hindi mahirap ma hack ang account mo.

There was an option to enable the OTP for every login when I registered for the online account. I didn't select it so I don't have OTP

Pareho tayo sis, sa mobile app i can easily access my acct without OTP pero when paying other merchants i need to open a browser kasi madalas error nakukuha ko sa mobile app.

Sobrang strict ang BDO. Nung nag open ako ng account 2 weeks ago, tinanong pa ko kung call center agent ako. I said no at hindi naman talaga.  After ko maibigay details ko at makuha yung passbook ko, tumawag pa sa HR namin to verify kung andito nga ko sa company ko and sa cellphone ko. Weird lang bakit need pa nila itanong particularly kung call center agent ako. :)

^ strict na sila sa line of work kahit opening an account? BPO den kame work (but not call center), hindi naman kame vinerify pa sa work or home but medyo matagal na den naman yun ng open kame.

I know strict BDO sa ID, signature. Si hubby pinagpasa ng isa pang ID coz hindi daw match yun signature sa 2 ID's nya (both were government ID's).
