Agree sis! Lahat may bayad. Wala man lang customer courtesy ano ba naman yung i-waive yung replacement fee or withdrawal fee diba? Super EW ang BDO.
I used to work with BDO truly BDO sucks! Kaya sa mga nagagalit sa BDO well it's all about money!  Walang budget! >:(  And the managers are so defensive kapag nakakarinig ng hindi maganda about BDO e HELLO!

@jellie,
I would have asked for a manager.
That was just plain unfair..

@Jaguar,

Yung passbook lang ang tumaas,
I converted my passbook to a simple ATM
account. 2k pa rin ang maintaining balance.

Wala rin akong na recieve na notice.
Walang notice sa BDO online
Walang notice sa homepage ng BDO website

Pero updated naman ang website ni BDO,
nkalagay ang bagong requirement kung ichcheck
mo yung Passbook account page.

- oo nga yung passbook lang. walang notice everywhere. except siguro pag new application dun mo malalaman.

grabe, hassle talaga ng BDO. wala akong choice kundi i retain ang savings account kasi yung payroll namin BDO din. mabilis i transfer online.

pinadalhan nila ako ng CC last 2009 and still using it. ang dami kong naging problema! but they gave me increase naman kahit i dont ask for it. ito na siguro last, pag na debit ako sa savings. pull out na!!!

i opened a BDO account last year kasi gusto ko yung may VISA so i can use with online transactions. i choose BDO kasi kahit saan may ATMs compared to unionbank na konti lang. i wasn't aware na hindi pala siya pwede gamitin online  :'( tapos yung cash card dati (2010) pag may mag deposit libre naman nasayang again yung 200 ko pambayad para mag open ng account  :'(

Been reading all the comments about BDO and would like to share some thoughts. I'm not a BDO fan I tell you. Nag-increase si BDO ng maintaining balance sa passbook account from 5k to 10k starting May 1,2014. Pero if you would notice, their initial deposit to open a passbook account is 5k only, which is much cheaper compared to other banks. Basta two consecutive months kayong fall below maintaining balance, dun kayo macha-charge ng 300 SC. Regarding the undispensed money sa ATM machines, bank employees cannot just open ATM machines just to get the stuck/undispensed bills. Client should report it to BDO call center. Why? Nagrerecon din kasi ang branch with ATM dept. online and they should double-check it kung nagoover or short ang balance ng ATM machine. What if someone also like you experience the same thing and same amount na hindi na-dispense sa machine? Wrong report and wrong crediting back of amount ng empleyado ng bangko, bayad agad sila. That is why reporting is necessary. May charge sila na Php150.00 replacement fee sa rewards card nila pero if you have enough points, you can ask them to just debit your points for the replacement fee. What I like sa kanila is yung EIP (Easy Investment Plan) nila, it is saving and investing at the same time with a minimum of 1k a month as contribution. That is one of my regrets. Kung nawawala EIP Confirmation of Participation (COP) nyo, you should provide your branch notarized Affidavit of loss to replace it. If you are planning to redeem your EIP placement, provide your branch NOTARIZED affidavit of loss. Their branch has sample affidavit of loss and you just need to fill it out and have it notarized. I tell you, mahirap magtrabaho sa bangko. You just need to experience it para malaman mo. Yung ibang tellers would frown or snob you pero isipin nyo nalang baka hindi pa sya kumakain nung mga oras na yun (mostly late na sila kumakain pero hindi naman din tama na simangutan ka dahil gutom na, dib?) o kaya iniisip nya yung disbalanse nya (baka masyadong malaki short nya at hindi nya alam kung saan nya kukunin yung pambayad nun kinabukasan). I guess what we need to do is try to fish other banks kung saan maganda ang service. :)

question lang po. I purchased in Amazon using BDO Amex, unlike other cards, may option sila to charge it in Peso pero si Amex in USD lang. My other card charges 3.5% for conversion fee pero not sure with Amex. Thanks.

^https://www.bdo.com.ph/sites/default/files/pdf/BDO%20Credit%20Cards%20Generic%20Application%20Form.pdf Check this link, I'm not sure if this is the file because their website is down now...

Or check the back of your bill. The rates should be there.

Kainis!
Mid august I checked bakit may service charge (900) so I called the bank sabi nga they increased it to 10K na. nakiusap ako kung pede ireverse, hindi daw. so pnadeposit ako ng 6K para sumobra daw sa 10K, hindi nako babawasan ng August.
Yesterday I checked yung account ko may service charge na naman na 300... so I called. Sabi nung tiga bank, dapat daw mameet ko yung average daily maintaining. Ibig daw sabihin, kung nag less than 10K ka a month kahit hundred lang, may computation daw yun na dapat 10K ang lalabas! Pnapapunta ako sa bank later for "possible" reverse daw.

^

I'd escalate it up to the manager if the front liner person
says no to your reversal request.

Then if you don't really need the passbook just request
them to change it to a regular ATM account.

That's what I did.

Thankfully, I found out about the change even before
it took effect from this forum so I was able to avoid a
confrontation with BDO. Because believe me, I wouldn't
let the service charge slide. I'll involve BSP if need be.

If you have credit cards na USD like amex card of BDO, you can pay it in peso. Just ask the teller what is the prevailing rate of conversion.

Sis, this happened to me just now. I had a balance pa last 2008 sa BDO. Nag open ako ng savings account sa BDO last January for my son's savings. Kahapon lang when I checked my account, wala na syang 11k. I called my BDO branch and ang sabi ay may nakuha daw silang email from the collections department ng BDO para mag deduct sa account ko. Ito pa, I don't know any of this. I called BDO Collections and puro sinasabi nila sa akin, refer to the terms and condition of the credit card. I was like...that was 6 years ago pa! ang tagal ng naka cut nun.

So parang they will monitor all your accounts and they can just take money from you just like that and you can't do anything about it. Ang sa akin lang, why wasn't I informed about it? So, ibig sabihin ba nyan basta may utang ka sa card and delinquent ka, they can monitor your accounts and pwede na silang kumuha ng pera just like that?

BDO SUCKS!

Just this afternoon on my way home, i received the notification of my charge on demand for my meralco that it was not approved. So I called their customer service asked why it was declined. I am sure for a fact that theres enough fund for the charge on demand since I only use their card for my Meralco charges. So when they checked, they simply told me that their customer representative have inputed a wrong reference number. So I told them but I charged it one week before the due date and yet nobody dared to inform me that there is something wrong with it. Btw, i have been charging my meralco to them every month for 3 years now and everything went smoothly. They sent the notification text message 2 days after my due date. From what I know the charge on demand is being approved in 3 banking days. So that meanS they still have 4 days to inform me, but no they did not. Then, so i asked them can you do recharging, all they told me is that as per policy since it is overdue already they cant do anything and that I have to pay it at Meralco. (Very nice right, after 2 days being overdue and it is not even my fault why it was overdue).

I am disappointed and told them what if their customer dont have cash on the spot to pay for their bills. That means they will their utilities disconnected and then again they said, im sorry we have inputed the reference number incorrectly but we cant do anything about it.

So there I have to rush to Meralco under scorching heat since I left my car at the maintenance shop. And they are lucky enough I have the cash to pay for it.

BDO dont give a s*** about their customers regardless if you are good paying customer. For three years i never had a late payment with my credit card. I pay my card in full one week before the due date. But because on how they handled my issue which is clearly their fault, I have decided to have my credit card with them cut for good.
