You could also check out http://coursera.org.
Free courses to take from professors of top Western schools like duke, brown, columbia, princeton, stanford, etc. Some of the classes will even give you certificates of completion but it's no joke to take, there are homeworks to be done, reading assignments, discussions, etc.

Wow thank you for sharing this! Ngayon ko lang nalaman to. Very interesting yung Coursera...

Question lang, would you know kung may special computer requirements ba yung courses? Like, ang intindi ko kasi at your own pace siya pero papanoorin mo yung lectures and may class participation din? Live streaming ba siya, or may involved ba na videocon? Baka kasi di kayanin ng signal ko... hehe.

I've signed up to several classes at coursera already and may detailed lesson plan naman complete with homework, readings, and even expected umber of hours per week that you have to invest in the class. usually it's in the 4-5 hour / week range.

I first heard about this from a friend who said she cannot meet me dahil she's spending time in her online course at coursera.org raw. I thought parang Open University na may bayad.

Second time I heard about this sa new officemates ko.

So now I am enrolling myself. Good for idle moments in the office.
