Shopping and food heaven indeed!kararating lang namin last friday from our bkk trip.puro shopping lang at akin inaatupag namin.ang saya sa platinum at pratunam magshopping! Sa city point hotel kami tumira.it's infront of terminal 21 with free breakfast na pabalik balik. between is the bts.pero twice lang yata kami nagbts,mura lang naman ang taxi nila.basta before sakay sabihan lang agad si manong na meter sabay Turo sa metro! mura nag food sa terminal 21,mas mura pa compared to platinum's foodcourt

Ask ko lang mga sis kung meron pang departure tax from bkk airport to mla? May nabasa kasi ako na need to pay 700baht if not included sa airfare. Kasi yun nakuha namin ticket P10 promo ng cebu pacific. And when we check yun cost breakdown sa ticket wala dun travel tax from bkk. Pls help. Alis namin this sunday, jun 30-july2. First time namin ng mga office mates ko.

After 10 yrs babalik ulit kmi ni hubby ng bkk!! Super backread tuloy ako.. Feeling ko nga bitin ang 4 nights! pero sana lang maraming budget.. hehe!

@diamondinthesky ok ba service sa amari watergate? isip ko  sa amari boulevard, mas mura  kung eto nga yung hotel na lapit sa mall.

@twinks yup, exceptional naman ang service nila. If you're into shopping, advantage na it's right across Platinum Mall. I haven't read any reviews about Amari Boulevard pero okay naman din siguro

Just came back from Bangkok yesterday. Here's my findings:

1. Accomodation - best location for shopping is Siam and Pratunam area. Good Location na nakita ko is Holiday Inn, Hotel Intercontinental, Centara Grand. Basta choose yung Chitlom or Siam Area. We stayed in Boss Suites Nana. Maganda naman siya. Great breakfast. but location wise, malayo for shopping eh. Saka nasa road cya na puro pubs. but di naman maingay. We also stayed in Berkeley Pratunam for our last night. Great location for shopping talaga! but for a 5-star hotel not worth the price.

2. Tours - actually we booked our Ayutthaya tour in Boss Suites. THB750 per head for 4 people. Private car. No tour guide. Entrance for temples are THB 25-100. For souvenirs in Ayutthaya, madami sa Pratunam market at cheaper pa dun. Got buddha in Ayutthaya for THB200(todo tawad pa ko nito), but saw it sa Pratunam at THB150. Wasn't able to visit the Grand Palace. Medyo malayo kasi plus umuulan pa. Nahihilo din ako sa traffic.

3. Transportation - very convenient! Kahit na mukhang Recto na hindi mabaho ang Bangkok, ang gaganda ng trains. They have Airport link too which is far beyond sa atin. For taxi, always request for metered taxi.but minsan sulit na din yung pangongontrata na THB100 kasi naman matraffic. Make tawad din sa mga tuk-tuk. Garapalan talaga sila, mas matindi pa satin.

4. Malls - I love the Siam Paragon, Central World, and Siam Centre. Kakaiba mga restroom sa Siam Centre, may powder room and dressing room! Must see talaga! Try watching 4D sa Siam Paragon. Wala kasi nito satin! THB400 cya. Worth-it naman as long as maganda movie. We watched Superman and WorldWarZ. Sale din mga Mango,Topshop, and H&M dito!Got H&M dresses for THB200-THB400! Central World, sale season na din. Masarap mga restos at merong Naraya dito. There's also Forever 21 but I think as cheaper cya sa atin

5. Shopping - aside from hoarding sa H&M, I went to Platinum Mall. Di na ko nagattempt mag Chatuchak, kasi sa sobrang dami ng Night stalls, I think pareparehas lang sila. Tops and dresses are between THB 150-350. Medyo mahal yung mga bags eh like THB400++. Majority are like Forever 21 which is mga pastel and embroidery type. There are also dresses na Topshop material. Don't forget tumawad.Nabibigay sila discount kapag maramihan. But I was unlucky din kasi hindi ko napuntahan yung Pratunam Market which is just across Platinum Mall. Mas mura daw dun, though hindi ko alam if magaganda ba quality.Mukha kasing Baclaran eh! Sa MBK wala masyadong maganda na for girls. Karamihan is for boys.

Nonetheless shopping everywhere talaga Bangkok. So pack light to have room for shopping. Stay near the mall areas para yung mga guys pwede ng iwanan sa hotel since madali silang mapagod.haha! May mga items na mura sa kanila but meron din mas mahal compared sa atin. Cheap food so nothing to worry.

Btw, I still have around THB10,000++ excess. Give ko na sa actual rate na pinaggconvertan ko which is PHP 1.44 (PHP 43.23/THB30.02). USD 1,000 kasi yung pinapalitan ko. Akala ko madami ako mabibili sa Duty Free airport nila but mas cheaper pa sa Duty Free natin. PM me if interested. Meet-up in Makati.

^nasa bangkok ako now, staying at Holiday Inn katabi ng Hotel Intercon at Chitlom station. maganda nga location nya at di ganun kamahal 2,000-4,000 baht per night.   Kahit ang Holiday Inn Express  yong malapit sa grand stadium ok din naman at mas mura dun kami nag stay dati.  Nilakad ko lang Platinum Mall, Central World, Siam Paragon, MBK at Tukyo kanina. Hindi masyadong mainit ang panahon kaya ok maglakad lakad.

I see a lot of girls selling really pretty and cheap dresses from bangkok.
Does anyone know where the nice and cheap clothes are? when I went there noon,
yung mga kasama ko ay mga tita ko, so palaging nasa mall kami like sa siam paragon
and parang hindi naman as cheap as I expected it to be
at sa mall na attach sa Pathuman Princess (pasensya na patay ako sa spelling haha)

I also stayed sa pathuman princess na hotel..

^Chatuchak  yata sis. Pumunta ako dun last year,  super mura at puro wholesale dun kaso masikip at mainit lang. Yong kasamahan ko dati sa bazaar dyan namimili, every 3months  sya pumupunta dito para mamili kaso ayaw naman nya i-share pano ang cargo ng pinamili nya at kung nagbabayad pa ba syasa customs sa pinas. Alam ko kasi madamihan sya bumili kasi madami syang pwestong bazaar. Mabentang mabenta sya kasi bihira lang may katulad, magaganda quality at design ng mga RTW dito, parang hindi galing china tulad ng sa divisoria.

 Sa platinum mall  dun madami din wholesale, parang 168 or 999 sa divisoria. Mas mahal ng konti sa chatuchak pero comportable naman mamili kasi aircon. 3pcs up wholesale nila. Pwede pa tumawad kung mas madami bibilhin.

^Dito Holiday Inn sis may mcdo, kfc and mall sa tawid. Walking distance lang din mga malls.

hi sisses! ask ko lang if may nakapag-book na sa inyo ng room na good for 4 pax? yung mga chine-check ko kasi na hotels/ hostels laging max of 3 lang. gusto sana namin 1 private room lang kami (with attached bathroom).

any recommended ones, preferably yung malapit sa bts stations? thanks!

Mura sa chatuchak market! Pero for me the quality ng damit is panget though magaganda naman mga designs.

For me baduy pumunta sa floating market kase yung mabibili mo dun e makikita mo naman din sa bangkok ang layo pa nun. Tsaka hindi naman exceptional na maganda, literal lang may boat tas may mga nagtitinda sa gilid or sa boat. In case na mag floating market kayo tawaran ninyo ng maigi kasi napababa ng dady ko ang price ng boat dahil hindi sya agree parang super overpriced ang singil. Hihi

Thank you so much sis assie very helpful  I was so excited naman when I got there, kala ko ang cheap.. but yung malls na we went to parang SM/Ayala lang ang prices..
