We never had to give tips when we were there except the private tour guide we got. I tipped him 1k php ata kasi super tuwa kami sa service niya. We always make it a point to haggle...start kami at 70% off. Hindi ka dapat mahiya kasi part of the game yan.

Teka 1k Php bigay niyo or Baht? Naku noh nung nag elephant ride ako hindi ko sinunod yung tour guide na bigyan siya ng tip kahit binabaan na niya. Namahalan na nga kami sa ride itself eh! Nung hindi ko siya binigyan ng tip halos gusto na niya ako habulin kasama yung elepante niya. Actually nakakatuwa rin siya na makwento tapos nung nalaman galing ako Manila nagsalita ng Tagalog greetings tapos kwento niya na nakarating siya rito sa Manila.

One night we were supposed to go to patpong. We took the cab at around 7pm sabi ng driver 9pm pa daw open ang night market so sabi nya watch nalang kami ping pong show. Tapos antay nya daw kami then hatid kami sa patpong. Yung ping pong show was around 600php per head so 1200k labas. Tapos katabi lang pala ang patpong ang ping pong show na pinuntahan kami. We realized too late na scam na pero ok lang for me and wifey kasi we got to experience the ping pong show. Adventure 

i googled ping pong show and whoa! adventure indeed! haha!  anyway thanks for sharing your experience sis, para maiwasan yang mga scam/scums na yan hehe

Yung ping pong show you only experience it ONCE IN A LIFETIME LANG. Im a guy hindi ko nakayanan ang more than one hour na show nila

Is that in Chiang Mai? Kasi yun lang ang alam kong elephant na ilulusob sa river tapos papaliguan kayo.

Nope its in kanchanaburi. We did a day trip lang from bkk elephant bath and tiger temple. We left the hotel at 7am and back in bkk by 5pm

mga sis, help naman po, I'm torn kasi between having an Ayutthaya tour or spending the day to visit other tourist spots like Jim thompson, Vimanmek Mansion and other malls like Terminal21, MBK,etc.

i was thinking kase na punta na kami Grand Palace, W at Pho and W at Phra Kaeo.. kaso gusto ko sana makita ng parents ko yung ayutthaya(river sun cruise), yun nga lang mababawasan time mag shopping, tee hee!..

here's our itinerary:

june 25- midnight arrival, straight to the hotel and rest

june 26 -  pratunam market, platinum mall,big c,central world
              7:00-10:00 - Siam Niramit

june 27 - visit JimThompson, Vimanmek Mansion, Terminal 21,MBK
            (or join Ayutthaya tour by Riversun Cruise)

june 28 - Grand Palace, w at pho, emerald buddha, visit khao san road and at night Asiatique riverfront

june 29 - since midnight pa flight namin, i'm planning to leave our luggage at the hotel storage after check out and visit the chatuchak weekend market..

i won an accommodation in Krabi, Thailand.  i want to know how to go there? i read merong flight from SG to Krabi thru Tiger Airways.  Mas mura ba yun, Manila-SG-Krabi kesa sa Manila-Phuket-Krabi via ferry? yung resort na pupuntahan ko is Pimalai Resort and Spa.  thanks sa sasagot

If you were to ask me I would rather choose the Ayutthaya tour saka pwede kayo mag elephant ride run in case mag land kayo. Although mahal nga lang run. Meron rin sa Ayutthaya yung floating market.

By the way I don't know if you know this though sabihin ko na rin that the pronounciation of Ayutthaya is Ayoo-tee-yah

Where is terminal 21 mall located? Is this near pratunam and platinum as well?

^its located in Sukhumvit near Asoke station (BTS).

^thanks for the reply. So coming from platinum or ptatunam how long will it tske us to go there? We need to ride BTS or taxi?

^BTS na lang para mabilis at walang traffic. Check this map http://www.csmngt.com/Bangkok_skytrain_BTS_map.htm. Mga 5-6 stations from Phaya thai  and Ratchtewi. Not sure kung may alternative way kung mag-taxi kayo. Kami kasi before suki ng BTS.

Regarding your question, sorry I cant comment on that. Hindi kasi kami nag-Grand Palace last year. I remember 2006 nag-Grand Palace na kami pero hindi ko na maalala yun IT namin noon, tagal na kasi.

sis foxy princess, if i'm not mistaken, i think the entrance for grand palace now is already 500baht, nabasa ko lang sa mga reviews, it increased yata starting january 2013..

Hello mga sis! We booked a trip to MLA-BKK-SR on Nov kaso wala pa kaming hotel. I want to stay in Sathorn area para malapit sa buses going to SR. Anyone actually stayed in the area? Parang mas sikat sa pinoys ang Pratunam. Gusto namin medyo walkable sa BTS.
