for me, 10 days including 5 days in  phuket - i'd say around 50k not including my shopping spree in pratunam.

i am estimating kung mga 5 days lang ako sa bangkok, excluding air fare, buhay na ako sa baon na 20k pesos.

if you are a budget traveler, i suggest kao san road for accommodation kung okay ka sa shared rooms na dorm type (around 200 to 400 baht) or better yet, hanap kayo online ng mga apartment (studio type) for rent in a daily basis. mas mura sia, furnished pa. may makikita kayo as cheap as 500 baht a night. yun lang hindi lang sia nasa city center.

Still trying to trim it down pero mejo tapat na yan.. No cabs and expensive tours. Diy lahat.. Plano ko maghanap ng hotel promos nearer the trip pero mura na rin nakuha namin na place. Php7600 for 6 nights, w bfast for 2.

sis try mo bangkok city suites. 900 baht a night.

Ride the airport link na train for 90 baht only  (paia thaya station ang baba)  instead of paying about 400 baht kung sa central bangkok and hotel mo.

Mas mapapamahal ka sa tuktuk so i suggest metered cab. usually kapag pa close na yung mga malls lalo na sa pratunam, yung mga cab ayaw mag metro. minsan choice mo na lang is tuktuk. haggle lang ng haggle sis.

at kung nagyoyosi kayo, dito na lang kayo bumili at magbaon. 90 baht ang isang pack ng yosi dun.

Hi i_v_y! Thanks, check ko yan. Though sa current location namin, maglalakad lang kami most of the time kasi malapit sa gusto namin - chinatown, saochingcha, khaosan and golden mount area. Daanan din kami ng bus so siguro try namin yun pag papuntang siam area kahit haggard. Hehe. Tas utilize walking and trains talaga. Mahilig naman kami maglakad hehe. Nakahanap na ako ng walking routes and nag sisimulate sa google streetview.

Is it possible to enter siam narimit grounds without the ticket for the theater and buffet? Just for photo ops lang sana kasi.

^ Sis depende kung ano priority mo sa BKK. Kung mura sa Khao san pero kami prefer namin Sukhumvit near sa BTS.

Mga sis, sa Suvarnabhumi pa din ba if ever flying with Cebu Pacific?

Also, aside from the usual tamarind pasalubong, any suggestions sa mga must-buy sa supermarket?

Yay! Thank you sis! That's good to know. It's been mentioned kasi in other forums that sa Don Mueang Airport na daw naglaland if you're flying with a budget airline.

^If you like three in one coffees and you like them strong, buy their local three in ones. One sachet is enough for one mug not cup ha but a mug. Even the Nestle 3-in-1 iba ang lasa compared to the ones sold in Manila. Kaya every time I go to Bangkok I always stock up on their coffee.

mag bangkok & phuket kami sa april. nag - start pa lang ako magbook ng hotel, di ako maka-decide kung sa airbnb or agoda ako magbook ng room. ano affordable hotel sa pratunam na malapit sa train station?

Mga sis! we are planning to stay sa bangkok for 2 days lang kasi stopover lang kami, Suvarnabhumi airport kami eh, san ba hotel pwede magstay? yung pratunam ba and other shopping area, malayo ba to sa suvarnabhumi airport?

^yup, medyo malayo...almost 45 mins away kung mrt...one hour and more kung via taxi
