Let him come to Canada first, then uwi sya and marry you. Financial capacity, for your own benefit yun pero si bf/hubby does not need to prove it to the CIC. Basta PR/Citizen and walang criminal record, okay na to sponsor a spouse. When we started the sponsorship, wala work si hubby but somewhere along the sponsorship he got a job so nag update lang sya sa CIC. My papers were never held, took us 6-7 months from submission to receipt of visa. Ang spousal sponsorship naman is all about proving the strength of your relationship.

You can apply for common law if you have proof that you live together.

^Yeah ang alam ko nga wala namang income requirement to get a spouse. But in a way, the person sponsoring must be financially ok kasi di ba may pipirmahan siyang 'Undertaking' or contract na siya ang bahala sa basic needs ng inisponsor niya at hindi magrerely sa social assistance.

Hello mga sis my family and i will go to canada within this year (most probably toronto). Now my question is i don't know what to do when we get there.

you see, i've been a sahm for almost 10 years. But prior to getting married and having kids, nsa IT field din ako like my husband. Pero since matagal na nga, I feel like i'll be starting over pagdating dyan.
Ano kaya best na pwede ko gawin?
Study? Kelangan ba talaga yung mga 2 yr course or pwedeng kahit mga certifications lang?
Get part time job, kahit ano? Will i be given a chance kaya?

Also, how safe is it there? Ok lang ba to let kids go to school on their own (if let's say, walking distance lang to school)?
How do your kids go to school?
And may mga nabasa din ako somewhere na may french subject sa school? Is it compulsary?

Thank you for your answers mga sis. Naliwanagan na din kami. Sabi niya pakasal na daw jami sis. Mas madali. Hindi rin pala. Usually gaano kagabal sis kapag spouse sponsor sis ilang months ang tinatagal bago makapunta sis?

about work, kung di ka naman mapili ok lang kahit ano pwede ka mag-apply as long as kaya mo yung trabaho.
about sa kung mag-aaral ka ulit dito, mas maganda sana kung kaya mo yung tuition at syempre yung time na igugugol mo sa schooling instead of mag-work ka at kumikita na. kasi kahit na sabihing community college medyo mahal na rin saka mahirap pagsabayin ang mag work ka at the same time kasi mostly full time mga courses sa cc, although meron din naman silang online courses.

sa mga kiddies naman pag nasa tamang edad naman na mga kids mo pwede silang maglakad sa school at depende naman sa lugar kung magulo katulad din yan sa pinas may lugar na magulo at tahimik ganon din dito. although pag bata pa talaga di pwedeng pabayaan maglakad mag-isa dapat may adult na kasama. i dunno lag about sa edad. yung anak ko kasi 11 yrs old mag-isa lang syang naglalakad sa school.

dito sa sg, my eldest commutes to school on her own na. and merong classmate bunso ko, nagcocommute to school na rin mag-isa! hehe

about schooling, i see..so siguro i'll check muna kung kasya sa budget yung pag-aaral ko.

 may i ask din pala, for those who are both working, who looks after the kids after-school? (Halimbawa walang kamag-anak na pwedeng pag-iwanan) my kids kasi are ages 9 & 7. So kailangan ng adult to & from school..so pano kung working both parents? I've read 8-300pm classes daw dyan?

And sis, nag-aaral ba ng french anak mo? dito kasi sa sg my kids are studying mandarin, and matutuwa na nga ako kasi matatakasan na namin yun lol! Tapos pagpunta pala dyan mapapalitan naman pala ng french (or hopefully not? )

^sis, choice mo yung sa French. May mga school na French Immersion, meaning compelled lahat ng students. Meron din wala. So kung ayaw mo dun ka sa wala. But of course depende yan sa anong meron malapit sa inyo. Personally, advantage ang marunong magFrench. May mga work na required na bilingual kaya advantage yun.

Sis ennaira021, yung sa akin inabot ng 6-7 months. Yung average processing times na CIC website. Nakalista dun bawat Visa Office.

Nasa iyo kung gusto mo mag french anak mo, pero sa totoo lang advantage talaga yun, especially bata pa mga kids mo madali nila ma absorbed yung knowledge. Mga kids ko (step kids)french talaga sila second language nila english. About dun naman sa pag aalaga, kelangan talaga may kasama anak mo before and after school kasi medyo bata pa sila, its either maghanap kayo mag asawa ng sakto sa scedule ng anak mo or maghanap kayo ng pwedeng pag iwanan sa neighborhood nyong mga bata, mostly sa mga lugar dito merong ganyan yun nga lang extra expenses yun. Yung sa akin since special yung bunso ko kelangan nasa bahay ako weekdays so weekend lang work ko. It works naman for us. Pagdating mo dito marami ka naman malalaman, and maganda yan at least nagkaka idea ka na rin.

Hi sis lonelymiss. Citizen ka na? I really wanted to follow my hubby there in Grande Prairie. Kaya Lang hindi na mangyayari  because he is just a tfw and due to Canada's new policy on TFWs, he will have to go home after his work permit expires. Impossible na ang AINP application  niya.

^Iyon ang malungkot talaga dito, mag-uuwian na ang workers come April 1 (yung mga naka-4 years na dito). Ang hirap na rin magrenew ng work permit.

I live in the GTA area.
Not sure ha, pero ang pagkaka alam ko, French lang class starts at grade1 whether in a Catholic or public school. And although there is a French immersion school, you have  look for one that is near where you live. kasi although there is a school bus, hirap to commute specially during winter.

Also, if you can find a school with a before and after school program within your school district, that is good. Its not free ha, meron din babayaran. this way you can bring the kids to school before the start of class, and kids will stay in school after class - till 6pm. para maka work kayo pareho during the day. what we did  before, i worked only part time - at night and during weekends. Hindi pwede to leave kids alone in the house who are below 12yrs old. Depending on how far the school is from your house, the school bus is free anyway.  also, depende kung saan kayo titira sa toronto, meron din naman undesirable areas.

So may mga after school care pala, additional gastos nga lang. It'll be one of the things i'll look into or check when looking for a school.
About French language, i'll search din about it. sana madali lang matutunan unlike Mandarin.

roxykarlo, yup citizen ako, been living here since 2002. sayang at uuwi asawa mo. hindi ba pwede magawan ng paraan yan. yung dito sa nb nag-appy sila ng provincial nominee.

^^ay sis, mas madali ang French kesa Mandarin kasi medyo similar sa english. Sabi nga ng iba mas madali mag aral ng French kesa English. Lahat din kasi ng mga bagay bagay  dito ay may translation in French. Mga shampoo, sabon, chichiria. Kung mahilig ka magbasa basa, mapipick up mo din yun. Hehe. Saka bata pa naman mga kids mo, madali nila matutunan yan.

Temporary Foreign Worker. Hinde naman sa "panget" na ang systema dito, naging mas mahigpit lang sila. Let's say sa McDonald's na meron 10 job openings, 8 dun makukuha ng TFW (not necessarily mga Pinoys lahat) tapos yung 2 e sa mga citizens. Kaya medyo nag rereklamo ang mga citizens kasi nawawalan sila ng work. Though hinde mo din masisisi yung mga nagha hire outside Canada kasi sila even at minimum wage, malaking tulong na sa mga pamilya nila. Tsaka mas matiisin at mas ok mag handle ng stress at very professional ang mga TFWs.

True! yung pinsan ko ang agency nya is yung MerCan. sabi may relocation daw sila para sa ibang TFWs kaya nag apply dun yung pinsan ko. Either Vancouver or Saskatoon ata sila.
