^Yep, madali lang makahanap ng work sa Canada (depende rin pala sa province ha) kung Permanent Resident ka na o may spousal work permit.

Most of the workers here (at least here in Alberta) are in the food service industry. If you have experience in this field and are currently employed, you may try to apply in Mercan Philippines.

where in Alberta ka, sis? true, mas madali kapag asa food service industry ka. yung pinsan ko sa Mercan din nag apply e tsaka yung gf nya. parehas sila managers sa mcdo, nag apply sila January 2012, na interview sila ng Feb. naka alis si gf nya ng September 2012 tpos si pinsan, November 2012. ang bilis lang (o swertehan din?)  si gf nya, asa Kelowna. si pinsan asa Grande Prairie.

edmonton din ako! haha pag may school, asa Edmonton ako. pag bakasyon, balik Manitoba ako. some of the pinoys working sa fast food dun (WEM), ang rude! haha I specifically don't like those who work at Tim's (again, sa WEM). they are so rude talaga! sometimes padabog kung ibigay nila yung orders sa other pinoy customers. one time it was my turn to run coffee errands para sa mga roommates ko and yung babae, padabog nya binigay yung coffee nung isang matanda na pinoy. the coffee spilled pero dun kay ate na nag serve. the customer got mad and wala naman daw kasi ginawa siya para treat siya ng ganun. haay naku, madaming stories na ganyan. that's why I don't like going to WEM sometimes lalo na dun sa madaming pinoys.

Hi mga sissies. Madali po bang makahanap ng work sa Canada sa mga IT Industries? Sa Quality Assurance po kasi ako, may mga kamag anak ako sa winnipeg and plan ko magpa-sponsor.

kung sa Winnipeg ka, medyo madali pa naman ng konti. pero be prepared na hindi ka agad makakuha ng full time/permanent job. mostly contractual.

if may relatives ka sa Winnipeg na willing to be a sponsor, under ka sa Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program. May forms lang na ififill out ikaw saka sponsor tapos mga credentials, IELTS results na minimum of 5 ata, tapos bank documents.

I'm not sure if this is the right thread but anyways..

I have a question about Canadian visa. I'm working from home I guess freelancer ang term and I don't pay taxes yet. I started this work 6months ago. My employer wants me to go to Canada to attend more trainings because she wants to "promote" me here in the Philippines. In short, gusto nya magexpand dito sa Pinas and ako ang maghahandle ng tao so I need more training and be more familiar about the company.

What kind of visa will I need say for 2weeks na stay sa Ontario and the requirements? I don't have any relatives there and of course sagot nila lahat ng expenses. I took the assessment in a website and the result is eligible to come to Canada as a temporary foreign worker. So need ko ba iaapply is work visa or tourist/visitor visa?

^ ask the Canadian Embassy para maka sure ka. as far as I know, tourist visa is bawal ka mag work. if you're coming here to study and to attend training and seminars, hinde ba dapat student visa ka? but kung work related, working visa?

kaya go ka na lang sa Canadian Embassy. when we were on holidays sa Pinas and needed to go to the embassy, I think RCBC(?) yung place na pinuntahan namen.

anyone here planning to go to Canada on a student visa? Eto na yata ang uso ngayon ... I wanted to go sana last year under the Federal Skilled Worker program pero super strict na sila at hindi na ako nakapasok sa list of occupations nila.

I'm seriously thinking of going -- may agency na ako and the school is in Vancouver. Naghahanap lang ako ng karamay

ako din..pero are you working ba sa food industry?..im planning to resign kasi sa work ko retail in preparation to go to canada..actually complete na documents ko but never try to apply in person sa mercan..they might reject kasi previous experience ko sa fastfood nung 1997 pa..they need currently working sa food chain.

I know somebody who hired a canadian immigration lawyer to process her papers. 

The difference with having an accredited immig lawyer is they will screen you thoroughly like your papers, your funds until you can satisfy the canadian immigration requirements.  Unlike pag direcho na sa canadian immigration, one small mistake can have your whole application denied.  With the immigration lawyer, they will tell you how the COE with details should be printed, to whom it must be addressed para when they pass it, pasado agad. 

There's also an interview before they can accept your case like what's your job skill, age, etc.  Right then and there, they will know if you are qualified or not.  If not, then they will right away tell you, no need to pass kasi denied agad. 

The thing is, it costed her close to half a million for the immig lawyer apart from the show money when your visa gets approved.
