hi sarsingkit - thanks for the feedback on PAL   they are from Ottawa, they have the option to fly from either of the two, but I'm guessing Toronto will be more convenient from them kasi their relatives are in Toronto including H2B's sister, tingin ko they will drive from Ottawa to Toronto, leave their car there then sabay sabay na sila..

Pwede din sila via Vancouver but they have to fly 5-6 hours flight din yata...

Princess Anne - thanks sis!  so you fly from Montreal to Korea via Air Canada then Korea to Manila via Korean Air?  I guess they can do this too!  They can just take the train from Ottawa to Montreal naman..   Thanks a lot for the info, this is a great option!

^Air Canada from Montreal to Toronto or Vancouver - Korean Air from Toronto or Vancouver to Seoul -Korean Air from Seoul to Manila. Ganon din pabalik. Cathay Pacific is nice too, i just find it a bit expensive.

I have not tried Eva air but apparently for those who have tried it, they say its a good ride.

I'm collecting all the docs needed for my MPNP application, plan ko next year magtry kasi yung cousin ko kelan lang nakakuha ng permanent work sa winnipeg. kaya lang nakalagay dun sa site ng mpnp about sa dependants na kelangan both name ng parents were written sa b.cert and if separated/divorced naman dapat may agreement of full custody yata yun. question is, name ko lang ang nasa b.cert ni baby, proof of sole custody na yun di ba since single mom ako.

another is, my work experience ako na yung business nagclose na kasi nagsettle na outside the country yung may ari, hoe can I have coe kaya dun?, yung manager namin before I know pa.

lastly, if ever maapprove yung application ko hindi ko muna isasama si baby kasi syempre maghahanap pa ko ng work, maexpire kaya o mavoid yung visa nya?

1 luggge na 23 kl + hand carry na 10k for air canada. better check the website ng mga airlines just to make sure tama yung dala at walang mag excess. yan ang naging problema ko sa brother ko nung papunta dito kasi 2 luggage pinabili ko at napuno na lahat bago ako mag check and omg isa lang pala pwede.

i am based here in dubai and i have a cousin in toronto. they are asking me and husband to try to go there pero si hubby takot eh, kasi nga okay naman na kame dito kahit papano. tapos both pa eh working sa office so medyo takot sya na magstart from scratch. pwede ba mag sponsor ang taga toronto ng relatives? or, if we wanted to pursue canada, pwede kaya kame provincial nominee?

actually, ang asawa ng pinsan ko eh galing dito sa dubai at dito din nagpply papuntang canada. in less than a year nakapunta sya dyan pero kasi kinuha sya ng brother nya as a caregiver ata, nurse naman sya. he worked sa tim hortons and korean resto. after 4 years, nakuha nya na ang family nya from Pinas (eto yung pinsan ko na) and he is now a supervisor in tim hortons and natanggap na din sya sa job sa hospital. maganda buhay nila dun compared sa pinas kaya lage nya ako kinukulit to try.

^^re: provincial nominee, it would be better kung check mo muna yung website to make sure na ma-meet nyo yung requirements.

may mga kakilala akong nagpunta dito from dubai and super swerte nila kasi in a span of 4 years, nakuha nla mga kamag-anak nila from pinas, even friends kasi manager ang work nya so mga employees sa pinas galing. and most of them may sarili ng kotse, kanya-kanyang apartment mga anak at asawa andito na rin. siguro mga nakarating humigit-kumulang 30 peeps. sobrang ayos talaga. kung manager sya ng tims pwede nya pakiusapan ang may-ari na kuhanan ng LMO yung asawa mo and start from there then dito na sya mag-appy ng PN.

nakita ko sa kanilang thread about sa sweldo sa tim hortons, and i don't think na $800 a months lang kita nila dahil hindi ka mabubuhay dito sa ganong kita or baka naman part-time lang yun. dahil apartment pa lang kulan na yun tiyak paano pa yung ibang gastusin.

^^ In my case, ang main flight ay PAL at connecting lang ang Air Canada kaya yung allowed baggage ng PAL ang nasunod. Wala akong naging problema sa Air Canada when I checked in my luggages.
