hi sis mylabmax..buti ka pa ang bilis naapprove ng application nyo. my application belong to simplified application process oct. 2007 pa yun. sayang nga kasi starting 2008 dun nagkaron ng selected occupations na mas naging mabilis ang processing.

question lang sis,hindi ba mahirap maghanap ng work dyan? though hindi naman ako mapili, as in kahit anong trabaho pwede ko pasukan basta sulit naman pagdating ng payday. wala kasi ko relatives sa vancouver para magrefer ng work.

Sis, anong balita sa application mo? Ang latest na alam ko sa mga simplified application is isosoli na yung application with the refund.

I can't say about vancouver pero dito sa toronto, madami namang survival jobs.  Basta hindi ka mapili.  Just upgrade your skills para makuha mo ang gusto mong trabaho in the future.

AFAIK, there will be no new occupations list.  But there will still be a cap on the applications per year so dapat masubmit agad once complete na yung mga documents nyo.  Just a tip, credentials assessment is one new requirement for 2013.  Pero as of now, wala pang sinasabi kung anong agency ang accredited ng CIC.

@sis mylabmax, thanks sa reply..February of this year nung nakareceive ako ng letter from cic informing me na im qualified to apply as provincial nominee ng british columbia. FSW Backlog Reduction Pilot daw nila to lessen the backlog of pre 2008 applicants. nag submit ulit ako requirements sa british columbia pnp nung may and still waiting for the result.

actually sis, di ko din sure kung gusto ko pa talaga mag canada since medyo established na ko dto sa work ko kaya parang alangan na ko to start all over again. marami ng factors to consider why i should stay here sa pinas. sa tagal ba naman ng application ko (5yrs and still counting ) dami ng nangyari.

though di pa naman sure kung pasado ako, di ba? kaya nga i keep on praying na kung san mas magiging maganda ang future ko eh dun ako dalhin ni Papa God..

afaik, the proof of funds needs to be liquid.  baka maging cause pa nang rejection kapag kulang ang proof of funds.

Your one of the few lucky ones pala na kasama sa FSW Backlog Reduction.  In any case, just pray kung ano ba talaga ang para sayo.  Mahirap kasi iwanan ang buhay sa pinas lalo na pag settled ka na.  Just weigh for the pros and cons and ask for guidance.

my cousin who now lives in canada recently talks to me about working and living there. she also mentions to me about applying for a visa as an FSW and as a student.

questions lang po:

1. if I opt to apply as an FSW, under what occupation kaya ako pwede? my cousin was not able to answer me about this kasi nag-apply siya for a visa under a priority occupation (nurse). graduate ako ng journ three years ago, currently I'm a writer for a major company, and studying law at the same time. in terms of work na pwedeng applyan, hindi naman ako super choosy, pero siyempre yung according to my capabilities na rin.

2. if I apply for a student visa, anong course ang kailangan kong kunin -- would a two year course suffice, or kailangan ba bachelor's degree, master's or doctorate?

3. may na-mention din sa akin si pinsan about working while studying if ever I apply for a student visa. papaano kaya ito?

4. I understand din na kailangan ng proof of funds kapag nag-submit ng application. for someone like me who has been working for more than two years sa current company ko, [textspeak!]-ano kaya ang mga proofs na pwede?

5. given the situations that I have given, what are the chances na ma-grant ang visa for either FSW or student?

sis donselle, what is the status of your cousin? immigrant, pr, or citizen or on a student visa?

1. if you will apply as fsw next year, there is no list of occupations necessary, so you can apply. to be sure check out cic website sis.
2. for student visa, you need to take the academic IELTS and pass certain score to qualify, depending on what school you wish to apply in Canada. Furthermore, you need to have your tor credentials to be submitted to the credentials body in Canada to have it assessed, because our bachelor's degree here is not thesame in Canada, kaya you need to have your credentials assessed muna.
3.working while studying is an option in your respective school you wish to apply, find out if this is available in your school in Canada
4.yes proof of funds is really needed -- esp if you are under student visa. you need to submit your proof of funds depending on the course you will be taking, may breakdown every school ng tuition and fees and books, and ilang years to complete that -- and for that you must show you have enough funds to furnish these needs until you graduate from the course taken.
5.the chances depends on you -- how you prepare all the needed documents for the fsw, and also for the student visa application. if you complied all the requirements, there is no reason why they cannot grant you a visa.. hope this is a help sis

Mga sis, hello!
Ask ko lang kung kumusta yung application ng mga sis natin (or loved ones) before 2008.  Kasi ako nag-apply ng July 2005.  Na-generate yung file number ko, March 2006.  Mula nun, wala na akong nakuhang correspondence from the consulate.  Sa Manila ako nag-apply, mga sis.
I checked the status of my application, di ko naman ma-locate.  Hay naku.
I was hoping ma-refund ko sana yung application fee ko, withdraw ko na lang application kasi super tagal.

hi sis! alam ko nag aayos ng mga backlogs ang embassy, so wait mo lang until december this year.
sa online naman, tama ba lahat ng infos? baka kasi may mali kaya hindi mo ma track online.
 hindi na marerefund yung application fee eh, denied or approved. ang nirerefund lang nila is yung Permanent Residence Fee,
