Tips for Traveling with Baby

^Try the Urbini Reversi. It is an umbrella stroller so it is not as small as the GB Pockit. You still have to gatecheck it. I planned to buy the Urbini but decided last minute to just bring our full stroller. ANother one I like is the Squizz Looping but it is not available where I live. It is also compact and can fit into the overhear bin.

I guess, yung time of flights din helps and affects a lot kay baby. Coz we have a 12hr flight  to pinas at 3am so if possible inaaliw ko sya na wag mag sleep before the flight coz a lot advises para sa plane na maka tulog, but before going to airport e tulog na sya, much more while nasa sasakyan since fave spot nya yun to sleep. Nagising while check in time but bumalik ng sleep the entire flight. Ginigising ko lang para mag milk. Kaya easy lang.
But opposite naman nung pabalik na kami from pinas to vancouver. 3pm flight sobrang init, full pack flight. irritated and antsy na sya. If possible di na ko sasakay ng PAL, worst airline if you have a baby in tow. But what can i do, eto lang ang may direct flight going pinas.

Yung flight timing din talaga sis, if time na ng tulog nya, we had 3AM flight din and nakatulog na sya ng mga 1AM nun ng waiting nlang kame for boarding then sa plane nagigising nalang sya sya to drink milk but on the way back e 2PM flight namin the whole flight halos gising at nagiiyak sya,

First time kong mag out of the country with my baby (2.5 months years old).  Though HK lang naman pero ngarag pa rin ako sa pagprepare hehe.  So nangangapa pa ko kung ano ano ang need kong iprepare.  Here's  my initial list:

1. Stroller - pang toddler na sturdy,  naghahanap pa ko sa Mall ng sale   Hindi namin madadala yung stroller na gamit nya ngayon kasi bulky e.  Though bihira ng magpa-stroller si baby, for emergency cases lang na makatulugan nya habang namamasyal kami... sakit sa brasong kargahin e hehe...

2. Portable Bottle sterilizer - again, bulky yung gamit namin sa bahay na sterilizer nya so hanap hanap pa ko ng portable one.  Dumedede pa kasi sya sa bote e.

3. Weeks before ng alis namin, papa prescribe ako kay pedia ng gamot for sipon, ubo and diarrhea just in case dapuan (hopefully not) si baby.

By the way, sa mga sisses/mommies here na nakapag-HK na with their babies, is it generally safe to feed our babies ng mga restaurant food dun?  Not the street food but yung mga rice and noodles na naglipana dun hehe... or did you opt to buy food from kilalang fastfood na lang like Mcdo, BK, KFC?

^hi sis. mag travel din kami kasama si baby on march, 19mos na sya by then. re sterilizer, bulky din yung amin kaya ang dadalhin ko nalang is yung avent microwave sterilizing bags. naconfirm ko naman na may microwave sa airbnb na irent namin. scouting din ako for stroller. may inaantay ako from rob manila, parang gb pockit daw pero mas mura sya. sayang naman kasi kung uber mahal tapos sa sg lang namin gagamitin. balitaan kita sis pag nakabili na ako.

^Pwede na po ba itravel si baby as early as 2 months old? Planning to spend 3 days sa batangas sana for beach. Sa pagkakaalam ko maganda sa baby makalanghap ng hangin sa dagat diba? SAka morning sunlight yung mga before 7:30 am?

Safe po ba mga mommies yung iniisip ko? Or mag tagaytay nalang kami kaso mapollution din naman dun

Question po sa mga nagtatravel with baby. Mas enjoy po ba ng mga babies yung pupunta nalang sa isang resort tapos mag stay nalang ng mga 3 days and 2 nights dun. Para atleast swimming at konting pasyal nalang.

Parang naimagine ko po kasi for convenience ng lahat yung ganun na setup. Atleast maenjoy ni baby yung place. Pag more on island hopping po kasi or tour group nakakapagod para kay baby yun. Tapos hirap din po yung parents.

^Hi sis. Sorry hindi ko alam kung safe ng itravel ang 2-month old. Mas ok siguro if ask mo pedia nyo sis. Baby ko 9mos na kasi nung unang out of town trip namin and mas pinili ko sa beach rather than pool. Hirap na kasi diba sensitive ang skin ng babies.

first time to travel with our son 3 months palang sya to Japan. thank God breastfeeding ako kaya wala kaming bottles, latch lang sya sa akin. mas kalmado sa plane kasi tulog lang sya and pag umiiyak latch lang kami. nun naging toddler na sya ikot ng ikot na at ang likot. haha.

^Anong activities nyo sa Japan sis nung nagtravel kayo? Nakapaglibot libot ba kayo or staycation lang? We'll be going to Taiwan on last week of Oct this year. Godwilling, barely 3 mos pa lang si baby by then kaya iniisip pa namin if ipupush namin yung trip.

^sis, if i were you pag mejo malaki na si baby.

Base from our experience kasi, we travelled to HK Disneyland and city proper with our 3yr old and 14mo.old kids before...super hassle. 
14months na nga bunso ko that time but nahirapan kami. Very challenging to travel with a baby.
Stroller, packing baby bottles, milk powder, diapers, omg. Cleaning the bottles pa. Kapag breastfed hassle pa rin...unless you don?t mind feeding baby anywhere.
Tapos, paano kapag nag-pupu while namamasyal kayo, and you have to change the diaper.
Omg talaga natatawa na lang ako when i think of that time. 😄

Tapos hindi pa stroller-friendly ang HK because no ramps on streets, no elevators puro stairs sa train stations (Sg was good eh.) Hopefully sa Taiwan stroller friendly.

But of course it is really still up to you. Just giving my pov base from experience.

Edit: now my kid is older, does not even remember that time. when we look at pictures magugulat lang sya and have a slight memory of it. My older kid of course remembers.


So another reason din pala to keep in mind mga moms, to travel when baby is a bit older na. Kasi, sadly, hindi naman nila maaalala yan paglaki nila. 
Only in our memories, and pictures. Sabagay pwede rin.   and then just go there again pag malaki na sila! LOL



To answer one of our sis, if parang staycation lang, ok naman to travel with a baby. Kasi nasa hotel lang naman...nothing else to do but swim, eat and sleep. Chill and relax lang in one place.

^Thanks for your advice sis. We're currently looking for a pram na good for travel. Yung lightweight lang. I know baby won't remember the memories kaya we'll be taking a lot of videos and photos tas balik na lang kami ulit pag maeenjoy na niya . We don't plan on having a jampacked itinerary. More on staycation lang then city tour, eat on highly recommended restos. Kasi it will really be a handful dahil 3 mos pa lang si baby by then.

san ba maganda pumunta na hindi masyado hassle sa baby? Boracay sana mga sis since nandyan around the area ang beach at hotel. San pa ba meron parang ganun?

^try mo sis Hotel Kimberly sa Tagaytay. Yun lang yun place na naenjoy namin with our active kids. Dahil may pool, may outdoor activity area at playground , may mini zoo.. The place is too spacious. Then few minutes drive lang sya to SkyRanch at yun Ayala mall dun. Pede din mgbonfire dun sa gabi lalo na kung dec at malamig. So masarap mag-barbeque party. Sulit ang stay.. 🙂

@momlory we booked Boracay din kasi nga perfect setup with a baby but due to Boracay closure we had to change our plans, sa Bohol kami nagpunta, actually Bohol-Cebu siya. if you want to relax and parang staycation lang, try Bohol.
My baby is 14 months., we travelled 2 weeks ago.
Alona Beach in Bohol ay parang mini Boracay, stretch of beachfront hotels and restaurants but we opted sto stay at South Palms , they have a private beach, sobrang chill lang kami dun. Didn't do any tour or activity, we already experienced them naman back in 2010.
Airport to resort in Panglao is about 30-40 mins lang.

Next year, Boracay naman

We are going to HK this December, our baby will be around 18 months.
Started to read on travel blogs/reports on travelling HK with a baby.
Our first time back in 2013, slightly jam-packed ang itinerary namin ni hubby nun, siyempre  this time relax na lang. 5 days and so far Disneyland lang yung fixed dun.

Nababasa ko nga na hinde naman stroller friendly ang HK, sana kasya pa si baby sa carrier niya pagvisit namin.
