Agree. Really sulit the choice seats. Pero sa amin we didn't pay any additional amount. PAL also but MNL-MEL. I just requested that if possible they give us the best economy seats and yun nga they gave us the choice seats.😊

^^ when we travelled to HK before (first trip abroad ni baby at 5 months), PAL check-in counter staff also gave us choice seats (behind Mabuhay Class), pero for free. We initially asked about the first row economy seats, but occupied na daw.

Pack an entire outfit and I do mean ENTIRE outfit on the plane.

I didn't pack an extra pair of socks for my son and sadly his foot landed in my sweet and sour fish meal. He had to go sockless until we arrived.

Travelling from LAX and my husband was the one bringing my son's milk and snacks and grabe they checked everything, mga 20 minutes for the entire backpack of milk and snacks. He got a thorough pat down too so we can bring all the milk daw. Tested the water for explosives etc.

Travelled to and from Australia and Taiwan and mas strict leaving US. Grabe mga drug mules, i guess they are now pretending to have kids and use 'baby food' to hide illegal drugs.

ok so... daughter slept while lying down kaya good thing we were able to raise the arm rests. Naka seat belt pa rin sya while sleeping, pero maluwag. Ayoko lang gisingin pa sya para lagyan ng seatbelt kasi magwawala yun for sure.

We brought play dough, colouring books and pencils, my husband downloaded the YT videos she loves watching and saved them all on our Surface and we also brought a trump card... yun tipong lahat na ginawa namin pero ayaw pa rin tumigil kakaiyak, eto na we bring out the big guns. And for her, it's a kinder surprise egg we brought about 3 pero 2 lang nagamit (ADL-SNG, SNG-MNL flight)

Our flight from Singapore to Australia though, I got into an argument with this middle aged lady on the plane. It was 11pm SNG time and 1:30am in our time so my daughter was exhausted... she fell asleep on her pram for 15 minutes and then ginising na sya ulit dahil boarding na and her pram has to be put on the xray. So she was cranky as hell. She was inconsolable and hated everything/everyone. So when we finally got on the plane, I asked the attendant if it's possible to use the baby seatbelt cuz I'm sure she'll scream the plane down if she's not on my lap. This lady behind me just butted in and said "I hope not because I'm sitting right beside you." I turned around and gave her daggers. If she was joking, ok lang. But she wasn't. So sabi ko, that's why I'm trying my best so she won't cry!

Sat down, saw my husband scowling... sabi ko umiinit dugo ko. Then he said, tarayan mo nga! So I said really loudly while looking at her, "if you're not happy, then you can move!", sagot nya "I would but the plane's full." I said, "Well that's just too bad then!" matching nanlalaki na mata ko tapos sabi nya "I wasn't having a go at you..." sabi ko na lang "but you were and you're so rude!" Thankfully wala pa masyadong passengers this time but the FAs were alarmed!

She just scoffed and looked at her husband katabi nya.

Sabi ng colleagues ko, they probably think we can't speak English I think she thought I'm just some wimpy asian.

^gosh!! some people talaga are just rude.
i will read more of this topic when i have the time para i'll have more idea. we will be travelling to manila jan. next year, my son would be 7 years old by then tapos i will have my 6 mos old baby too. good luck saamin!

mga mommies, what food did you bring when you traveled with your lo? we will be going to Hong Kong next month with my 18-month old daughter and i'm not sure what food to bring for her.

Whenever we travel i always/must bring yung plum organics super puffs and other snacks na he likes. This will also help him be busy during the flight. I also bring yung food pouches para easier to feed during the flight but pang second option ko lang yan. I still feed him whatever we are eating/table food wherever we are basta i make sure hindi spicy etc. Medyo picky anak ko kaya i have those food pouches as second option. Tapos ang tagal pa pakainin so i bring those pag nagmamadali and i need to feed him on the go.

basha, what do you usually feed your baby? When ours was 18 months, we flew to Thailand from Australia. Mahaba haba ang byahe so we brought extra of everything. She loved yoghurts (in pouches), cheese stringers, fresh cut up fruits (resealable containers), biscuits with fruit fillings, and plain biscuits around this time so eto binaon namin. I actually brought enough for our entire trip kasi eto rin snacks nya while nasa Thailand kami

our baby will be 6/7 mos by the time we have our vacay in ph next year. and this will be my first time to travel na may baby. wala naman prohibited na dalhin sa airlines for babies? wala din limit kung gaano kadami? i heard na the usual restrictions on liquids don't apply to baby's food and drink. pero pano yung 100ml limit sa ibang items ni baby?

^belle, as far as I remember, anything na gamit ng baby, they allow. We even brought a huge bottle of Benadryl in her hand carry, and ok lang. Water, no problem rin. We brought a whole can of powdered formula rin for her (but in the checked in luggage na). Sa hand carry, we had 2 * 4 compartment formula dispenser.

Yung 100ml limit for other items, like what? Sorry I can't remember kasi what I brought pero lahat ng dinala ko for her, of course sobra sobra (better to bring more than kulang), we didn't have any issues naman. If you can tell me which other items, it might help me remember

ex: hand sanitizer, no rinse baby wash, etc. siguro keep below 100ml na lang or might as well ilagay na sa check in luggage?

i'm planning to breastfeed full time. edi dala din akong breast pump and bag for that just in case? or nursing cover nalang para nas magaan haha omg. i can only imagine how stressful it is.

hand sanitizer nagdala rin kami but several small bottles kasi hiniwalay hiwalay ko... one in her nappy bag, one in my handbag, one in my hubby's backpack... these were only 50ml bottles kaya I guess hindi nasita? Her baby wash, we put in her checked in luggage but her creams (steroids, moisturizers) etc, nasa hand carry... wala rin problem

if you're planning on breastfeeding, nursing cover na lang I suggest if you're direct latching... if you want to bottle feed sometimes (on the plane), then maybe you can pump before hand, freeze them and dalhin mo na lang yun expressed milk. Baka kasi medyo tedious kung pati pagpapump gagawin mo sa airport and sa plane, tapos magbreast feed ka pa...

^how about the baby food sis? do you just store it in jars and pots? or bumili ka nalang ng ready to eat baby food na nasa pouch for easier access?

^I brought those take & toss plastic bowls with lids and filled them up with mashed fruits (this was when she was only 6 months old when we had to travel). I also brought some of those rafferty's garden baby food in pouches, just in case...

^ sis gumdrops, she likes yoghurts saka fruits na maasim (oranges, strawberries, mango) saka plain biscuits. she also likes bread and fresh milk. okay naman siguro yun na ibaon no?

^yes, we brought extra packets of yoghurt, biscuits, cheese (all these nasa hand carry luggage nya and enough to last for our 5 day trip), cut up fruits (this we only brought enough for our flight so 4 small containers lang)

bread we didn't bring but if you're going to, maybe just enough for the flight/travel lang din kasi you can buy bread naman sa destination nyo... likewise sa milk

mula 1 year old si baby, every december nag out of the country kami, pero asian countries lang naman. May mga challenging moments lalo na ang lazy ko mag change ng diaper, so kahit di pa puno talagang mega change ako lalo na before sumakay ng airplane. big help samin ang light weight stroller - maclaren volo and avent tempo- kasi tapon kalang ng tapon and maraming ziplock plastics.  Hindi rin ako mahilig magdala kasi nang nappy bag na malaki, ang dala ko lang is small sling bag na andon ang importanteng bagay like wallet and passports namin then yung skiphop na backpack na andon ang mga gamit ni baby plus the stroller.

sanay naman na siyang bumyahe kasi kami ang family na super mega over sa gala, like ilang weeks palang siya byahe agad kami  Pangasinan and akyat baba ng Baguio. Ngayong 3 years old na siya, sanay na siya mag bus as in every 2 weeks akyat baba ng Baguio, naiintindihan niya narin ang galaw ng airplanes and very fascinated siya.
