Sis nicoletta, I usually use Playtex drop-ins if we're travelling or staying in hotels para bawas sa isesterilize na bottles. For the teats, pakulo lang ng water using electric kettle then babad the teats sa cup..

Has anyone requested a tub or clean cooking wear for sterilising bottles during travels abroad?  I just got my baby's passport, and I will be bringing my yaya with me.

Kaya lang mabait lang yaya ko pero she is no expert so I still have to do my own research sa ganito.  I want to ask nga the hotel we plan to stay in kung ano pwdeng pahiram.

Also, do you leave your yaya sa hotel at night so she can sleep?

When we traveled with my daughter I brought along a camping electrical stove. I used it to cook am and sterilize her bottles and pacifier. Though I also brought cold water sterilizer that would keep items sterile for 24 hours. As for bathing, we bought a cheap tub from the grocery-alternative is an inflatable tub. The hotel we stayed at only had shower stalls, not bathtubs.

We'll be traveling in December, this time with two kids!! Bringing my yaya along as well. I've bought a lightweight stroller that can accommodate my toddler and an ergo carrier as well. Yaya is also coming along with us, I don't plan on leaving her at the hotel with the kids unless my in laws stay behind as well.

I wonder if lanson place has their own mini bathtub.  ??? They have a bathtub but my baby is super malikot when bathing and I'm not comfortable to bathe him directly under the shower.  The water might turn either too hot or too cold :D  So excited and worried din, sana my yaya won't take advantage of us.  Contract or not, hirap din humabol.

Kaya di ko naging problem yang pag sterilized besides d ako nag sterilized everyday according to pedia dito its not necessary.

mas ok ang carrier. ang stroller kasi ang hirap bitbitin/ bubuksan at tutupi mo pa. hassle pag nagmamadali pag nag commute.

my advice-- bring a yaya! hehe!!

but seriously, kung malalapit lang naman like singapore/ hk etc, better bring a yaya para ma enjoy ang vacation, kasi nakaka stress lang buong araw kayo nasa labas tapos bitbit mo lahat ng gamit then magpapalit ka pa ng diaper/ masusukahan.

The one we are staying at is a boutique hotel so if I remember correctly, we had cook ware.  It is also bigger than most hotels in HK, and yes, swerte ng yaya ko but I do need to bring her para we can relax.

I learned my lesson! I did not enjoy our trip to HK at all! My daughter does not sleep when we are out, so I would have to rush back to the hotel every 4 hours so she can nap. Her sleep schedule was all over the place! And she wouldn't let anyone else carry her but me, we didn't bring a stroller and she didn't like the carrier, so imagine how tired I would be! Some nights I would stay in the hotel room lang and hubby or my in laws would bring me dinner nalang.

My MIL encouraged me to go out at night after my daughter was asleep, they would watch over her daw. Well, I was shopping when I got a call and they told me to come back coz my daughter woke up and was hysterical :\

So yeah, after that experience I need a yaya to come along especially now that I have 2 kids!

2 weeks ago was our HK trip. I have 2 boys (2.3 and 11mos). My bunso doesn't like being strapped in a stroller so I said we just bring 1 stroller for my panganay and I'll just wear (ergo baby) my other little boy. This was also because I couldn't bring 2 yayas (the other one did not get her passport on time). Hay super pagod din, my bunso doesn't want to be carried by anyone else kahit sa yaya nya. At first Ayaw pa sa carrier but eventually he got comfortable and even taking naps while we're out. Pero ang sakit sakit pa rin sa likod at the end of the day haha. We rode both MTR and taxi but knowing HK, puro lakad pa rin. Buti na Lang malamig pa. My eldest naman was also cooperative behave Lang most of the time sa stroller and would sometimes take nap there too.

On the plane bound for HK, my boys behaved well but on our way back since late night ang flight namin (10pm), a yun Medyo naging cranky midway.. Until they fell asleep.

For our upcoming SG trip, hoping to bring 2 yayas na (wala pa rin Kasi ang sss ID needed for passport application) so hubby and I can go out naman.

The ergo can be used up to 4 years old. Check out the Saya, I think it can be used up to 2 years old too in certain carries.

Luckily my baby is close to her yaya so I'm sure he won't mind being carried by her. We do this a lot here when we go to the mall.  My baby likes to go out, he does not stay put at home kasi he either goes to my dad's office or mall.

I told my yaya to practice bathing baby in the bathtub since he has one in his room para hindi sila magulat in the hotel.  Better na din siguro to try using the chicco carrier while we are here so he can get used to the idea kasi we can't let him stay in the stroller while riding the MTR.  Siguro meant to be for yaya to go with us kasi waitlisted siya sa cathay pacific, and now confirmed na siya. Sana lang talaga my yaya won't just leave us after this trip, may isa pa siyang possible trip abroad with us before the year ends.  The perks of being my yaya Woohoo!  ;D

^^ sis, the Chicco carrier you have, hindi naman narrow base no? If narrow-based kasi (yung naka-dangle ang legs), me tendency to be uncomfortable to the baby and the wearer after a while..

^ sis, Ergo is available sa SM department store, Baby Company, Babyland, etc. You can try it there. SaYa also is available in Babyland. Problem lang with SaYa is it tends to sag na for heavier/older babies.. and you need to try it din for size. Meanwhile, soft structure carriers lik Ergo, Tula, Boba, etc, one size fits most (if not all) wearers. Adjust-adjust na lang ng straps.

Oh no! I have no idea.  It was just a gift, so better siguro na masubukan na ngayon.  We don't use it kasi puro stroller or salitan kami sa buhat kay baby.

Unahan? Gitna or dulo? Any tips?

Priceless

^I usually get the bassinet seat or front row seat whether or not we requested a bassinet. There's simply more space and wala akong kaharap na seat na pwedeng ma sipa or mabunggo ng anak ko, lalo na pag malikot sya.

That said, I've had a few flights on the A380 where there was a separate row of seats na may harang pa nga, on the top deck. Sulit din ang first or business class sa long haul dahil naka full recline kami so nakahiga si baby and we didn't need to stick him in the bassinet anymore.

I wouldn't really recommend sitting near a toilet lalo na pag maraming pasahero kasi nakaka istorbo lalo na pag nagpipila na sila to use the toilet. I like to sit near the galley though, so that if my baby starts crying, I can take him to the galley para hindi masyado maka istorbo sa ibang pasahero habang kinakarga ko sya and I'm trying to soothe him.

Hi sissies. We're having a trip this April. 7T and 4T kids ko. First travel nya was in Boracay lang. Medyo kase mabilis ma bored ang youngest ko and madali mag tantrums. Worried ako sobra sa travel. Then yung itinerary namin seems jampacked and puro maaga gising. Help mommies. Ano ba mga pwede ko gawin? TIA

Nagsisigaw to the highest level at nambabato ng ipad or anything na hawak nya pag galit.
Pwede ba ko mamili ng seat?

^ for one, IMO, when travelling with kids, dapat medyo flexible ang itinerary. Kasi di natin matantya mood nila. Pag super-packed kasi, and pagod ang kids, they'll potentially be cranky din.

As for the travel time, bring lots of their favorite toys, para di ma-bore during the flight. But wag mo ilabas all at the same time. Pa-isa-isa or two at a time lang, para di ka maubusan ng "baon". And bring their favorite snacks. And since medyo nakakaintindi na kids mo, you can talk to them beforehand and describe/explain what's about to happen. To somehow prepare them, and so they have something to look forward to.

My baby is only turning 10mos. The tips I shared in previous paragraph were helpful to me when I travelled with my niece and with my nephew (different times; to HK, Macau, Davao, Cebu, etc). As in ako lang and pamangkin, when they were toddlers.
