Hi need suggestions!!
 We're planning  to stay in a hotel on Christmas Day overnight lang with hubby, 3 kids and yaya.. Para maiba naman ayoko magluto eh haha ano kaya usual happenings ?
San kaya okay na hotel ?? Sana affordable din  TIA

it really depends on what is most important for you and what your budget is. kasi there are so many possible recommendations pero depende sa hanap ninyo. also, do you mean na "Manila" specifically or including other CBDs like Makati or Ortigas?

yung malapit sa mall. para if ever bored pwede pumunta sa malls to watch movie or eat sa restaurant.

kasi you can opt for The Peninsula, Ascott, or Intercon in Makati (near Glorietta, Greenbelt) or Sofitel in Pasay (near MOA).

check out Agoda.com for the date you want ASAP kasi may nakita lang ako kanina na medyo murang rates for Dec 24 overnight (check-out on Dec 25) sa ilang magandang hotels. basta remember that booking in advance would most probably get you lower rates instead of waiting a few weeks before your actual stay.

Haha, pwedeng makisali na lang din. Ako rin, I would like to try staying at a hotel this christmas or new year para maiba. Nakita ko yung pics ng friend ko where they stayed at sofitel for the new year, parang masaya. But sofitel is too far. We just want a nice view and of course nice ambiance nga, QC/Pasig/Makati, something na hindi sana lalampas ng 4-5k hehe, for two people. I don't really stay at hotels here in Manila kaya naman wala akong alam. Edsa Shang lang yata napuntahan ko ever.

^sis, may itataas pa kaya ang budget mo? hehe. kasi if ang level of expectation mo ay "Sofitel-level", naku, kulang ang budget mo...

kung strict ka talaga sa budget mo, ang pasok sa budget ay Eastwood Richmonde Hotel (Agoda rate ay P5,200 ngayon). great location kasi it's close to a lot of great restaurants. city view lang of course. kasi sis, wala naman talagang "views" ang mga hotels sa Manila aside from a city view. except na lang syempre sa hotels facing Manila Bay, pero ayaw mo naman yung location na yun. ayaw mo ba talaga? hehe. may promo kasi ang Sofitel sa Agoda ngayon, P6,600 na lang. yun ang may view. at maganda ang mala-garden nila by the bay. beautiful.

pero kung kaya mo pa taasan ang budget mo at ayaw mo talaga sa Manila, you may go for The Peninsula in Makati. they have a great lobby! ang sarap magpa-kape-kape lang at may live piano music pa (not sure kung tuwing kelan may music). tapos kumain na rin kayo sa in-house buffet nila na Escolta. P9,200 ang Agoda rate ngayon.

Thanks sis sa suggestions.  I checked them all out sa agoda, parang ang ganda nga talaga ng sofitel. I was actually hoping to find some decent 3-star hotel kahit hindi ganun ka-spectacular, but sofitel seems worth it. I-convince ko yung kasama ko hehe.

Pasali din.. Headache talaga ako each time need mag overnight family ko sa manila.. Ang daming hotel kaso ang mamahal.. Ang mga mura naman, parang engot lang.. Ilang beses na ako nabibiktima, especially sa Makati area, nakakainis. Wagas ang pagka ewan ng condition sa rooms.

So.... hoping that some people can suggest more inns/hotels here.. Siguro hinde lang talaga ako marunong mag hanap, or sobrang baba lang siguro talaga ng budget ko kasi I don't want to spend more than 3k. I'm usually looking sa Makati area, pero sumisilip din sa Pasay and Ortigas.. Whenever I go higher sa budget, okay naman, pero whenever I stick to it, wala talaga..

Ang important for me is can accommodate 3 pax in a room. Easy to take taxi. Not too far from malls. Surrounding is very important na safe kc praning ang mga oldies at ayaw yung mga nasa eskenita. Hinde naman ata masyadong madaming ka-artehan dba? hehe..

Or... kailangan ko ba talaga taasan yung budget?

Hahahaa, I therefore conclude na sobrang baba yung budget ko.. Siguro kasi sa province, medyo mataas na kasi yan.. 1plus lang usually budget ko for province lol.. Oh well, I guess we are talking about Manila naman kasi..

Hinde naman talaga ako maselan masyado.. It's just that parang pati yung sahig ang dumi-dumi, yung sheets may mga buhok pa (kaya hinde mo alam if pinalitan ba, or buhok ng housekeeping yun -- eto ang worse for me), nangangamoy ng ewan yung kwarto.. The list goes on.. For me naman kasi, I know I won't get really awesome rooms for that price, pero dapat naman ata malinis at maayos-ayos diba? Kaya I was hoping na kahit small inns lang, okay na..

I've stayed a couple of times pala sa St. Illians Inn in Makati. The rooms are clean (around 2k for 2pax). It's a very basic place to stay, nothing fancy, but it's clean. It's good enough for me. Kaso nung sinama ko oldies, medyo na praning sila sa area dun nung inikot kami ng taxi, kaya I don't stay there na pag sila ang kasama ko. And since I still haven't settled on the perfect place with the perfect price, on the hunt ako lagi and it's stressful hahaa..

Thank you pala sa Agoda idea.. I always prefer reviews sa tripadvisor, but you're right, mas okay pala mag consider ng Agoda reviews kc yung totoong naka stay dun ang nagiiwan ng reviews..

I guess I will have to increase ng konti yung budget ko..

I'm thinking to spend New Year in Hotel for budget I cal go all the way max 5-10k Ortigas or Makati area lang sana plus may magandang view for for works. Any suggestions mga sis?

im booking at Sofitel for the New Year celebration.. my hubby wants us to have a new year na kami lang 3 mag-anak.. but i think we won't be taking part in the merry making because my son is scared of fireworks & has asthma. plus the fact that we won't be bringing any yaya along so we can't drink & be merry.. =)

sofitel pala okay.pero how much dapat ang budget?kasi first time ko yayain hubby ko ng ganito.kasi 3 lang naman kami pag New Year eh.ako siya at baby namin.gusto ko sana 2 araw kami.siguro budget namin mga nasa 15k lang.pwede na kaya yan pang Sofitel? mukhang okay don sabi niyo may fireworks rin

^hindi kasya ang 15K for two nights. agoda rate pa lang ay 20K na for two nights (agoda promo pa yun). iba pa bayad sa New Year's Party tickets - last year was 7K/adult. not sure if you'll have a clear view of the fireworks if you don't pay the tickets... hehe... pero yung tickets na yun, syempre kasama na buffet dun. about sa details ng New Year's Party, it's best if you call the hotel directly.

Oo nga sis ang mahal.saan kaya hotel okay dito sa manila?kahit check in lang 2 days tapos may magandang fireworks sa new years eve at okay sana amenities.

Oakwood in Ortigas. I keep on coming back here. Room size and furnishings and amenities are topnotch.

Crowne Plaza too when im staying over for a night only.
