@sushisundance. It can dry the skin, which means lack of moisture. Pero it will not reduce oil production (at least in my case ganun)

Ang mangyayari, dry skin tapos may oil on tip. Oil on dry skin looks even greasier kasi the oil doesn't mesh with the skin well.

If you decide to continue with tretinoin, apply it as thin as possible and babaan mo muna yung frequency

Im back to tretionoin (stieva. .1%)
Nung 2011 gumamit ako ng generic, [textspeak!] nabibili online and sobrang effective. Nagclear nose ko na sobrang daming milia/whiteheads and nagkakapimple lang ako nun every 3-4 months. More than one year naging flawless ang face ko. Den mga august last year kainis lang, nagkakapimple na ako eh im busy panaman sa school so what i did, once a week nag papa DP ako alternate facial/mask and i stopped pala using tret. After 3 months of kinis face, di na umeepek ang dp. After 1 week of dp with facial nagkakabutlig na ako and nagiging pimple siya. Nung march nagkakacystic pimple ako, as in big cystic pimple and sobrang ang chaka ng marks sa face ko and til now meron padin kaya i decided na mag tret again. From march-may nagka 3cystic pimples ako and di parin natatangal [textspeak!] spots, para tuloy akong nagkachicken pox.
Kagabi, nag glycolic solution ako for 15 minutes den wash face after nun nilagyan ko [textspeak!] area lang na may butlig and pag gising ko nagdry agad angg butlig/milia.
I will start tonight, buong face na lalagyan ko.
Ok lang kayang everyday ko ang stieva?
And may nakaexperience na ba sainyo ng big cystic pimple? Ano nilagay nyo pampatanggal ng peklat?
Gusto ng derma ko i tca ako para matanggal daw ang dark spots sa face ko. I have a super manipis na skin kaya ayoko na muna mag tca.

^ I have mild to moderate acne. I observed na mas nag-f-form ng dark marks kapag super dry na yung skin. Lalo na kapag nag-spot treat ako ng pimple ng mga drying solution or benzoyl peroxide (e.g., panoxyl)... For sure, dark marks  ang labas nun.

I make moisture a priority. Sobrang faint lang ng dark marks kapag ganun. Ok na sakin na matagal mawala yung inflammation, I put concealer over it na lang. I'd rather that kasi mas matagal mawala ang dark marks compared sa pimples.

^^ cystic acne ba kamo sis? I suffered from it during teenage years up until 25 yrs old. nakapagpatanggal talaga is oral meds. i stopped taking it nung nagclear na skin ko. mga 6 months... ilang months din ako clear pero nagbalikan pimples pero di na ganun kadami. ngayon tretinoin na lamg maintenance ko. kung magkaroon man ako pimples isa o 2 and that is before ng period ko. nagpalighten ng blemishes ko topical meds from belo na merong HQ.

does anyone here live in a cold country like canada? ill be travelling to vancouver soon and im worried that using tret(2x a week) might dry my skin badly. it will be summer when im there but still, their climate is waaay different from ours. i can say na quite sensitive skin ko pagdating sa weather, madali magdry. kailangan ng heavy duty moisturizer! also, what AI product do you guys use for the face? AI lotion or AI cream? thanks!

I use retin- a every night. I love how my skin glows the morning after. Then moisturize every morning.

I use retinoic acid gel .05 from my derma. I want to use moisturizer kasi nagpipeel na sya, hirap maglagay ng make up. I have olay age protect, physiogel ai lotion and cream. Which is better kaya in terms of minimizing ng peeling w/o compromising the effect of the retinoic acid? Thanks!

question.. yung purging stage ba yung makintab tignan tapos nagpepeel at minsan may parang pantal-pantal?

grabe kasi ngayon yung skin ko..
feeling ko tuloy ang panget panget ko.. hindi ako makapagmake up ng ayos kasi nagiging cakey dahil sa mga peeling at pantal.

^peeling, redness and tightening of the skin is normal, pero yung pantal sign of irritation na yan. Dermas usually give a ceramide cream to be used with tret in case of excessive irritation. Purging is characterized by more pimples coming out of areas where you usually get them and they clear as fast as they come.

Maybe stop until you skin clears of the irritation? Then start slow, use once every two days and follow with moisturizer like physiogel ai to buffer the tret.

OK ba yung brand na eRAse? I've seen Erase Tretinoin and I want to try it. Sa mga gumagamit nito, ok ba ang how much? Thanks!

Can tretinoin be used every night kahit wala naman akong pimples?

^Pwede naman sis since it's not just for acne lang naman. Other use it as an anti aging treatment. But before using it every night siguro you can try muna na every other night and use the lowest concentration. ALWAYS wear sunblock during daytime. And kahit wala kang pimples, you might experience yung tinatawag nilang purging. Take note of sis wicked's post above.

I stopped using it for 3 days.. so far nabawasan na yung redness (sorth of "pantal" look). pero super peeling padin ako.

^it will take a few days to a week to clear. Just moisturize as needed
