^There are no charges for using your credit cards in SG or anywhere else in the world. Sa conversion rates na lang magkakatalo.

Hay kakagawa ko lang "itinerary" namin and mahirap nga, mukhang malabo pa mag Singapore Zoo kami on 3rd day since according to Google maps, 1:30hrs ang travel time from hostel, plus another one pabalik. So 3 hours pa lang ng day namin eh dun na nasayang. Eh 5:40 flight namin so at least we have to be in Changi by 3:00PM right? Balak pa namin magtingin sa airport eh, especially iPad mini kung meron...

Gusto ko na isuggest na skip the zoo na lang and mag-explore na lang ng Orchard or Bugis para at least nearer...

^kung gipit kayo sa oras due to transportation, magtaxi kayo dahil hindi naman siguro aabot ng isang oras ang byahe nyo from hostel to jurong.  Check google earth for travel time via car.  And merong gps lahat ng taxi dito at maraming alam sa shortcuts ang driver.  Taxi is faster than mrt.

According to the website, travel time from bugis junction (if your hotel is nearby) to singapore zoo is 27 mins and fare is SGD24.  Kung 4 kayo, magtaxi nlang kayo.

^^^it's not really practical to take the bus going to the zoo specially if you're coming from the city area due to the travel time that's why usually people here recommend taking the cab instead.

Thanks mga sis. Sige I'll tell them that. Sobrang tagal nga mag-bus to zoo, 1:30hrs Here's the 2nd version of the itinerary:

Day 1
Zoo (until closing at 6PM) - Would it be better to go straight to the Zoo from the airport? May lockers naman, pero is the $3 rate fixed?
Merlion Park at night
Marina Bay Sands Skypark

Day 2
USS + Sentosa (Songs of the Sea - I've seen this but they want to see the 8:40 show... Don't want to be KJ but I really want to skip Sentosa haha)
Clarke Quay if may energy pa

Day 3
Gardens by the Bay in the morning (pag maaga nagising)
Orchard/Bugis/Chinatown, for gadgets ba, saan maganda? I think more on gadgets ang gusto tingnan ng friends ko eh. We might be staying in a hostel in Hongkong Street, so preferably somewhere near that area...

I was even thinking na yung gadgets eh sa airport naman meron (specifically iPad Mini...). Sayang ang chance mag-shop for Charles and Keith na mas mura!

^You may opt to try to check the distance (and route) on gothere.sg ng airport to SG zoo or Hotel to SG zoo, then try to look which is better for you.  As for luggage try this website:

^By the way, when I went home to manila for the holidays, I was able to buy Ipad mini @ SGD450.  It is much expensive in Changi airport than in apple store here in SG considering that the SGD450 does not have GST and the SGD448 in Apple store has GST.  But if you are going to buy in any apple reseller in SG (not the online apple store), then might as well get in in Changi.

Hi mga sis.. Pnta kme sg in feb 19 to 22 mejo tight budget ko so i'm looking for a hotel na 4k to 4.5k lang? 3 adults and 2kids kme possible kaya may makuha kme na 1room ganyan kamura?

Thanks sis, I checked na, better pa rin to go to the hostel first (by bus) if we arrive on time sa Changi since we will be at the zoo til closing, hassle mag travel pabalik at night kapag dami pa dala...

Another question: TICKETS. Cheaper ba to online than on-site? May nabasa kasi ako sa hostel nagcclaim na may discount na tickets nila (USS, Zoo, etc) pero nung chineck ko sa website mas mura pa rin...?

CNY is on feb. 10 and 11 right? (correct me if i'm wrong) after that ba back to normal na? i mean, less crowd, shops/malls/businesses are open on their normal hours.. we're planning kasi to go on feb.14-17.

I have a problem pala. Contractual employee lang ako sa UP and as of now wala pa akong ID. As to whether or not I will be regularized before May, I have no idea. I will be traveling with two friends who are bank officers and we will be staying in a hostel. magiging problema ba to sa immigration? I asked my bestfriend who stays with her cousin when she visits, hinihingan daw siya ng company ID (but she travels alone)... Panic ako kasi I don't have one nga... So I'm thinking of bringing:

1. Employment certificate
2. Contract (but it says na my contract will be finished by the end of June, our trip is 1st week of May)
3. Bank Statement

Or OA ba masyado? Have any of you encountered this while going to SG with your friends?

^hindi naman kailangang company ID ang i-present. ako nga passport lang. just make sure you bring any other valid ID (ideally, government-issued IDs like driver's license, SSS/GSIS, PRC, etc). don't worry too much kung wala ka namang kababalaghang ginagawa.

plus, always print your booking confirmation with your hotel/hostel. also have a printed itinerary para sigurado. yung mga ni-mention mo above, you don't need that. baka pag kung ano-ano ang ini-present mo sa immigration, saka ka pa pagdudahan, hehe.

PS. yung sa friend mo who was traveling alone na hiningan ng company ID, baka she was suspected of coming to SG to find work and not as a tourist. exception lang yan na hiningan ng company ID. kaya siya hiningan kasi your friend didn't have a hotel booking or a tour itinerary. diyan lang maingat ang immigration sa mga nakikitira sa kamag-anak, kasi baka nga naman mag-TNT.

Try YMCA in Orchard. I just sent my reservation form. Waiting for their reply. Highly recommended siya here sa GT when I back-read.
