Hi Sisses!

Any feedback for Creme De La Mer (Moisturizing Cream)?

I'm getting frustrated already with my skin. Ang facials kasi abroad are so expensive and not that effective kasi they only do cleansing, exfoliating, toning and mask which i can DIY. They don't prick whiteheads, pimples, etc.

Who has tried this product? Effective ba siya talaga like makes the skin glow and clears it?
Super mahal kasi $150 for 1oz.!!

I want to make sure sulit sa price before I buy it  :)

Hi miloo, I am using La Mer skin care products now, well for a few days pa lang and so far I like the results naman.

For the Creme De La Mer naman it's really effective for people who have dry skin, esp kung nasa malamig na lugar. ito gamit ng mom ko and her skin is amazing! i mean no wrinkles and dry patches.

I have a combi skin, so what i do is i put creme de la mer lang sa dry areas and it's really effective naman at wala syang ingridients na nakakapag stimulate ng oil glands ko sa tzone.

I am also using La Mer The Radiant Infusion + The Radiant Serum para maimprove appearance ng pores ko sa cheeks near my nose, and the Cleansing Gel to remove excess sebum and i love the fragrance nito. :) so far nakaka glow naman siya and yun ang gusto ko maachieve as well as makaimprove ng appearance ng pores. ngayon i m trying their eye concentrate kasi super dark and under eyes ko, as in dami ko ng natry na ibang cremes at walang effect, with la mer i think nag lighten ang dark under eyes ko, hindi na mahirap i-hide using concealer. siguro icontinue ko lang to and let's see kung hangang saan kaya nyang improve. i'm not expecting na maremove nya totally yung dark under eyes ko.

^Sis baka you need to see a Dermatologist for your skin?
I tried La Mer sa airport. I wasn't impressed. Parang ordinary lang.
I just tested it once. So I can't verify for the claims.

amelia_eyeheart, me naman sis I have a quest to make my pores smaller, kaya kung [textspeak!]-ano tinatry ko, kahit may kaunting kamahalan, wala pa kasi akong super HG na skin care regimen, and medyo late bloomer ako sa skin care. I opted to try non-drug store brands nalang to get a more desirable results sana. :)

you can't see the effects of any skincare products by using it once lang so i think kung for special occasions lang gagamitin di mo din makikita effect.

But my aunt uses La Mer for a long time na and i can say it really works for her, she's 52 now but she still looks like a 30. and la mer cream lang talaga ginagamit niya no other regimen. never pa siyang nagpa-facial. :)

glamorous_aisha, mom ko din! She's 52 din now and her skin is amazing, no wrinkles and very few fine lines lang, mas mukha pa akong matanda compared to her. Unfortunately, for me kailangan kong gumastos. :(

^may mga maswerte talaga sis na kahit anung products hiyang sa kanila. ako hanggang ngayon testing stage. la pa kong HG products. tried high end to cheap products. depende talaga eh. haha. or madali lang din siguro ko mainip at ma-immune sa products. gusto ko talaga i-try tong La Mer if it will replace all my products naman.  :)

:) ay have you heard of the SKII and Sensei? maganda din daw yun, anyway another topic na pala ito. sorry miss thread starter. :)

Personally, i think great skin has more to do with genetics and general lifestyle, than anything. Good skin care is supplementary and also helps up to a point. My mom is 54 years old, she has good skin and has used only eskinol all her life. Lately lang siya gumagamit ng Olay. My lola is the the same, no visible wrinkles at 70+, only some pigmentation here and there, pero tight pa din ang skin niya. She only uses whatever soap to wash her face and nothing else.

I've been curious to try La Mer but I'm quite hesitant with the price. I don't think I can pay that much for a moisturizer, which is exactly what it is. I do think it can benefit dry skin, as most high rated reviews come from people with dry skin, but other than moisturizing I don't really think it can do much. I guess I already know too much about skincare and ingredients that the hype isn't convincing me at all.

i think super expensive niya... pero kung yan lang siguro gagamitin mo at wala kang "other treatments" na gagamitin eh okay na rin..

i think mas okay yung masanay ang face natin sa simpleng brand lang na kaya ng bulsa pero effective.. saka siguro healthy lifestyle na lang and lots of water and exercise :)

pero maybe okay ang product na ito.. i actually dont know kasi hindi ko pa natry.. kasi nasa Pilipinas tayo and iniisip ko baka maging mantika muka ko? oily kasi ako hehe..

pero i saw Instagram of Liz uy ginagamit niya yan :)

Well, i don't really know kung magwowork ang La mer for tropical countries. baka nga magmantika lang mukha ng gagamit unless super dry skin siguro.  :o

^ there is the new light moisturizer  for  combination skin - The Moisturizing Soft Cream.
IMO, the pollution in MMla is so bad, the skin needs more than ordinary skin products.

When my skin got so bad, I went to Cathy Valencia & used her products. But the drawback is -- her creams require refrigeration, and ang dami required -- 8 different types.  When I travel -- I pack these in an insulated bag with ice packs.  Pag dating sa US or Europe -- must transfer to a ref ASAP.  After 2 years, ayoko na.  And, my face was getting unnaturally smooth.

So, I went back to La Mer.   Pricey but sure maintains my skin. But you need to do it for 6 weeks before you see marked results.  Am  happy with my La Mer products. The eye cream has removed my under-eye dark circles.
I use the cleanser, the eye cream & that light moisturizer. But when I go to places that are cold & windy, I use the original moisturizer.

GLAMOROUS AISHA. I use La Mer Eye Concentrate - Ewan Ko if there are others but that is what my La Mer  SA recommends.  But IMO, the best for reducing eyebags is Estée Lauder's Idealist Cooling Eye Illuminator.

BITTERSW1T.  if your skin is dry -- best you stick to the original La Mer cream moisturizer.  I use this when I go somewhere it's wintertime.  Just make tipid using it, and use AM & PM -- it is worth the expense. You will look Forever 21. :).
